Display final score from windows 8 game c#
It looks like ArcadeMode is essentially your data model, but gets the constructor from the game page doesn't really have meaning. Assuming you have an instance of ArcadeMode on your game page and it includes the actual score, with the code above, you've just created a brand new second instance of that same class with the score initialized to 0. One quick way, since it appears it's just a simple piece of data you want to pass, is use the second parameter of Navigate. Wherever it is you navigate to the thumbs-up page, add the current value of your 'score' variable as the second parameter, for example: Frame.Navigate(typeof(ThumbsUpPage), score) Then in the OnNavigatedTo event of ThumbsUpPage you can access the value you passed via the Parameter property of the argument, for example: pr

Using matching document original score in filter script for custom filters score query
Documents in a filtered query would be unranked and have the same score. http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/reference/query-dsl/custom-score-query/ But you can use a custom score query together with a filtered query and use a script to calculate a score based on the document values. This was added in 0.90, I believe.

Combine solr's document score with a static, indexed score
You could try to implement custom SearchComponent that will go trough results on Solr and calculate your custom score there. Get results found from ResponseBuilder (rb.getResults().docSet), iterate trough them, add calculated value to your results and re-sort them. You can then register your SearchComponent as last in RequestHandler chain: <arr name="last-components"> <str>elevator</str> </arr> More info in SolR manual: http://wiki.apache.org/solr/SearchComponent Sorry, but no better idea for now.

Game Center score submitted, but leaderboard shows no score
Just make sure that you do the correct code for submitting the score. This is a way that I really like. Even though you will get warnings because they don't want you to use it in iOS 7, it still works. Just let me know if it doesn't work. (IBAction)submitscoretogamecenter{ GKLocalPlayer *localplayer = [GKLocalPlayer localPlayer]; [localplayer authenticateWithCompletionHandler:^(NSError *error) { }]; //This is the same category id you set in your itunes connect GameCenter LeaderBoard GKScore *myScoreValue = [[[GKScore alloc] initWithCategory:@"insertCategory"] autorelease]; myScoreValue.value = scoreInt; [myScoreValue reportScoreWithCompletionHandler:^(NSError *error){ //insert what happens after it's posted }]; [self checkAchievements]; }

How to get tf-idf score and bm25f score of a term in a document using whoosh?
Finally able to figure it out. Here it is for anyone who come here later, For finding TFIDF and BM25F score of a term and document. qp = QueryParser('content', ix.schema) q = qp.parse(unicode('id:1')) with ix.searcher(weighting=scoring.TF_IDF()) as searcher_tfidf: scoring.TFIDF().scorer(searcher_tfidf, 'body', 'algebra').score(q.matcher(searcher_tfidf)) with ix.searcher(weighting=scoring.BM25F()) as searcher_bm25f: scoring.BM25F().scorer(searcher_bm25f, 'body', 'algebra').score(q.matcher(searcher_bm25f)) ix is IndexReader object obtained using open_dir() method or create_in(). The key is to get the Matcher object that matches exactly the required document. So, use an id or any unique field in the schema to get that particular document using qp.parse() method.

Localhost fails to display images
CGI is used to execute server-side scripts, not to serve static content. It will therefore attempt to execute files that are being served (in this case, attempting to execute an image): os.execve(scriptfile, args, env). Execution is equivalent to running the file at your shell. Use SimpleHTTPServer for static content, such as images.

Portable programming - Linking fails fails with Win32 but links with linux
Microsoft is using a lot of defines in their header for unicode support. In your case the name OpenFile seems also to be defined to be eiter OpenFileA or if you switch to unicode it would be OpenFileW. To get rid of this problem add this after including the headers from microsoft. #undef CopyFile You can of course pack it into a #ifdef to limit it to the microsoft platform.

Http Request fails from ASP.NET code on Test server (also fails from IE... but not firefox!?)
I finally found a relevant error in the server's windows event log: An TLS 1.0 connection request was received from a remote client application, but none of the cipher suites supported by the client application are supported by the server. The SSL connection request has failed. I created a new question, an actually answerable one, Here: How to add to the cipher suites available to ASP.NET HttpRequest client?

How would one get a "motion score" in OpenCV?
the most simple way would be: Mat currentFrame, lastFrame, diff; absdiff( currentFrame, lastFrame, diff ); float n = norm(diff, CV_NORM_L2); lastFrame = currentFrame.clone(); here, n is a measure for the difference beween this and the last frame maybe you even want optical flow, which gives you a movement vector per pixel: // convert to grayscale before .. // Mat flow; calcOpticalFlowFarneback(prevgray, gray, flow, 0.5, 3, 15, 3, 5, 1.2, 0); // // flow is a CV_32FC2 matrix, each "pixel" is a Point2f with x,y being the motion gradient for that position (there's a demo for that, too)

you should have a look at dictionary you could match each word you want to put a score on with his value in the dictionary. This way you could just loop all the word you got and output the value using System; using System.Collections.Generic; class Program { static void Main() { Dictionary<string, int> dictionary = new Dictionary<string, int>(); dictionary.Add("await", -1); dictionary.Add("awaited", -1); dictionary.Add("award", 3); dictionary.Add("awards", 3); //read your file //split content on the splitter (tab) in an array for(int i=0; i<array.Length; i++) { //output the value } } }

How to implement score ranking
If I understood you correctly, you may use the rank in your query. Try the following: SELECT rank() OVER (ORDER BY SUM(ss.Score) DESC) as rank, s.Sname, ISNULL(SUM(ss.Score),0) FROM Student s LEFT JOIN SC ss ON s.Sid = ss.Sid GROUP BY s.Sname ORDER BY SUM(ss.Score) DESC See working demo on SQL Fiddle.

If same score then same rank in RAILS 3.2
The question is rather confusing but I think you could make better use of the database functions. Maybe something like this works, since I don't know your full models, especially which object has the score of the user. I'm assuming its on the user object: def get_rank scores = User.select(:score).joins(:response, :answers).where(:answers => [:correct => true]).order('score DESC').group(:score).all # example result: [24, 22, 21, 20 ...] rank = scores.index(score) + 1 end The result of that statement gives you a sorted array of all actually applied scores. Since you do know the current user's score, you can get the index of that score, which is also the rank number.

SQL for computing h-score (h-index)
What the h-value is doing is counting the citations in two ways. Let's say a scientist has the following citation counts: 10 8 5 5 2 1 Let's the number that have that many or more citations, and the difference between the two: 10 1 9 8 2 6 5 3 2 5 3 2 2 5 -3 1 6 -5 The number you want is where this is 0. In this case, the number is 4. The fact that the number is 4 makes this hard, because it is not in the original data. That makes the calculation harder, because you need to generate a numbers table. The following does this using SQL Server syntax for generating a table with 100 numbers: with numbers as ( select 1 as n union all select n+1 from numbers where n < 100 ), numcitations as (

Cumulative Game Score SQL
I would first like to point out that I do not believe your original query is correct. If you are looking for the best player for a particular puzzle, would that be the combination of the highest score plus the best time for that puzzle? If yes, using max and min does not guarantee that the max and min come from the same game (or row), which I believe should be a requirement. Instead you should have first determined the best game per player by using a row number windowing function. You can then do the top 50 sort off of that data. The cumulative metrics should be easier to calculate because you only have to aggregate the sum of their score and the sum of their time and then sort, which means the new query should most likely look something like this: ;with ResultSet (PlayerID, Score, T

The score is not updating because you are incrementing a local variable of the method display_score. You can make it a class member of Packman, for example: def __init__(self, x = games.mouse.x, y = games.mouse.y): """Initialise packman""" # do something ... # initialize the score variable self._score = 0 And then, def display_score(self): display_score = games.Text(value = self._score, size = 25, color = color.black, top = 5, right = games.screen.width - 10) games.screen.add(display_score) #increase the score self._score += 1 # add one to the current value You missed the self argument in the definition of the method!

Load score of specific user
If you want to do it though the game services, you have to retrieve all the scores of a leaderboard (selecting time scope and social/public) and then find your user. the best way to do that is using GamesClient.loadPlayerCenteredScores with the maxResults argument to 1. This should return a JSONArray containing only the user. However, I suggest you to store the data on local storage and only retrieving the Game services values as a support.

Higher score to exact PrefixQuery
That's pretty much the standard method to achieve what you are looking for. Similarly, you see patterns like field:term* field:term^2 crop up when using the query parser a fair bit as well. If you find yourself recreating this logic a lot, I'd just create a custom prefix query to use, something along the lines of: public class MyPrefixQuery extends BooleanQuery { public MyPrefixQuery(Term t){ add(new PrefixQuery(t), Occur.SHOULD); add(new TermQuery(t), Occur.SHOULD); } }

Get Average GameCenter Leaderboard Score?
To answer your questions: 1. This is not possible with standard GameKit API. You will need your own server to achieve this. 2. You are right, even if you create a custom UI for leaderboards, the user will be able to see other players scores in the game center app. But if you just want local player highscore, store it locally and use iCloud to synchronise it. 3. This is also impossible with GameKit. But if you store it locally, you can do it your way.

How do I keep track of score increments in Python?
You can't store module level variables like that. Any attempt to write to that variable will create a local variable. Examine the behavior of this script: s = 0 def f(): s = 10 print s f() print s Output: 10 0 Instead you should be moving towards an object-oriented approach. Start placing your code in a class: class HeathlyGame(): def __init__(self): self.init_hscore = 100 self.final_score = 0 # Beginning. Proceed or quit game. def start(self): print "Your shopping habits will either help you live longer or they will help you die sooner. No kidding!
