Using jquery selecting radio button when the div container is click
Make both radio buttons have the same name. Should solve your problem. And then you also don't need any jQuery. <div id="flip" style="width:600px;"><input type="radio" name="rad1" value="stat" id="exprad"> <label for="exprad" >Experience</label><br></div> <div id="flip2" style="width:600px;><input type="radio" name="rad1" value="fin-maths" id="perrad"><label for="perrad">Personal</label><br></div>

jQuery - slideToggle to select and deselect button
A better solution is to toggle a class that in turn changes the background. You should make it a best practice to never style elements with Javascript, you should use CSS for that. Adding/removing classes is fine though. This will make the code much easier to maintain in the long run, and it's also more semantic since you're using classes and not inline styling. Try this: $('#btn').click(function(e){ e.preventDefault(); $('#block').slideToggle('2000') $('#btn').toggleClass('active'); }) Then in your CSS. .active { background: red; } Edit: Jsfiddle here.

Slidetoggle and change div background color on div click?
Like I said in my comment above, jQuery targeting will fail (or at the very least not behave as expected) if use an ID more than once. Use classes for styling and targeting in this case, or use unique IDs per 'toggle' module. Alright, here's your Codepen example :) Core components [expanded styling available in Codepen sketch] HTML <div class='toggle'> <h3 class='headline'>My headline</h3> <div class='comments'> <ul> <li>Comment 1</li> <li>Comment 2</li> <li>Comment 3</li> </ul> </div> </div> CSS .comments { display: none; } .comments.open { display: block; } jQuery $('.headline').on('click', function(){ $(this).toggleClass('active'); $(this).next('.comme

jQuery Mobile click button but nothing happens
EDITED: I've noticed this piece of code $.url. This is not part of jQuery or jQuery Mobile. You're missing the Purl JavaScript URL parser plugin. You should add it in the first page's head tag. Below you can find some fixes related to the code you've posted. I have removed the code which refers to the missing Purl JavaScript URL parser plugin as well. In the first page, attaching the click event handler on the document element is enough. You don't need to include it inside a pageinit event handler. Moreover instead of using return false; it is better to use event.preventDefault() in order to prevent the default behavior of the event. I have removed some unnecessary code as well. In the second page, I have modified your script and put it inside the jQM page. The reason is that when a

Jquery to get the value on radio button click
considering your string is alway in this format 1:ONE<br>2:TWO<br> 3:THREE<br>4:FOUR instead of creating a variable , you can push the text to an object or array and use that later. using split() to split the html(text). for example: var obj = []; var data = $tr.find("td:eq(4)").html(); data1 = data.split('<br>'); for (var i = 0; i < data1.length; i++) { datas2 = datas[i].split(':'); for (var j = 0; j < datas2.length; j++) { obj.push(datas2[j]); } } here, obj will have all the values you need.. alert(obj[0]) //gives 1 alert(obj[1]) //gives ONE alert(obj[4]) //gives 3 ..soon however, this is one of many ways to get what you want...though using two for loop is not good fiddle here

Cannot click on an asp.net button within a jquery dialog
I also had this problem with asp.net buttons and jQuery UI Dialog. To solve it you need to set in your aspnet button the tag UseSubmitBehavior to false. If UseSubmitBehavior attribute is set to true (this is the default value), the button will use the browser's submit mechanism (and jQuery Dialog UI is manipulating it), if UseSubmitBehavior is set to false, the button will use a client-side script that asp.net framework includes in the page to post to the form. So your HTML should be like this : <div id='one'> <asp:LinkButton ID="ConfigureAlerts" OnClick="btnConfigureAlerts_Click" runat="server">Configure Alerts</asp:LinkButton> </div> <div id="ViewModalPopupDiv2"> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel3" runat="server"> <ContentTe

Jquery template button click?
It appears that you are using some framework for binding. Without knowing exactly which one, I can only offer that there may be a built-in binding for events. For example, in AngularJS there is a "ng-click" directive that facilitates binding a function to a standard JavaScript event. In the absence of such a framework, then I agree with Zeaklous. You should be able to add an "onClick" event directly to your anchor tag. <a href="#" onClick="my_tracking_function()" class="rowSelectionPage" data-select="{{if AnyPageHasSelections}}false{{else}}true{{/if}}" data-selectmode="All" data-selectpageurl="PowerMatchingRowSelectionPage" >{{if AnyPageHasSelections}}un{{/if}}select entire list</a> <script> function my_tracking_function() { // Trigger some tracking e

jQuery on button click not working
It looks like you are adding this element dynamically, so you'll need to use a delegated event listener: $(document).on('click', '.request', function() { alert("hi"); }); Also you have an issue with your escaped quotes not matching. I don't think those are necessary: <div class="ui-block-c"><a class="request" data-role="button" data-id="'+json[i].num+'" data-type="3" data-icon="plus" data-iconpos="right">Test</a></div>

jQuery reset on button click
You're mixing server-side and client-side functionality here, so the results may appear unintuitive to you. When you perform the server-side logic, the entire page is re-loaded. So what you get back is a completely new context of the page as far as client-side logic is concerned. Thus, your initial call to displayDiv() shows/hides the divs as though it was an initial page load. You have a few options, the applicability of each one being up to you and what you're comfortable developing or what other features you'll need to support: Show/Hide the divs from server-side code instead of client-side code, so you can include the logic in your server-side event handlers to be processed when the page posts back; or Perform the server-side logic in an AJAX call so you don't lose the client-sid
