Import issue with MySQL Workbench
Okay so... Problem solved. It just seems that MySQLWorbench accepts this request with a direct path (no errors, script executed) but doesn't refresh his table view... So my table have been fullfilled around 3 times before I restarted MySQLWorkbench to discover that my table was full. So... Problem solved. Sorry for the time loss.

GNAudioSourceMic startRecording hangs forever
Is another application on your device using the microphone when you try to launch your app? You should make sure to set the audio session category to one that supports recording, and also activate the audio session prior to calling start on the GnAudioSourceMic instance. For example: NSError *error = nil; [[AVAudioSession sharedInstance] setCategory:AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayAndRecord error:&error]; if (error) { NSLog(@"Error setting audio session category: %d, %@", [error code], [error description]); } [[AVAudioSession sharedInstance] setActive:YES error:&error]; if (error) { NSLog(@"Error activating audio session category: %d, %@", [error code], [error description]); }

MySQL INSERT fails in Python but works fine in MySQL Workbench
You're not passing data to the execute call. Note the closing brace in your example. cur.execute(""" INSERT INTO scoredata (gameid, playerid, starter, pos, min, fgm, fga, tpm, tpa, ftm, fta, oreb, reb, ast, stl, blk, tos, pf, pts) VALUES (%s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s, %s); """)//*Remove me* , (player[0], int(player[20]), int(player[19]), player[3], int(player[4]), int(player[5]), int(player[6]), int(player[7]),

import matplotlib.pyplot hangs
I figured out what was happening. Hopefully the solution is useful to others. In the /usr/X11/lib folder there was a symbolic link for the directory that was pointing back to itself. This appears to have created an infinite loop. When I removed the link, the import worked.

How to take MySQL database backup using MySQL Workbench?
The Data Export function in MySQL Workbench allows 2 of the 3 ways. There's a checkbox Skip Table Data (no-data) on the export page which allows to either dump with or without data. Just dumping the data without meta data is not supported.

MySQL import txt data
You seem to think that the file can use more than one line in the text file for a row. You need to use one line per row. Try: Pattern:Address:Privkey 1:18PhQkzkzP6QUmWuiddhJ2YrGKZKRmV3j:5JRpLiEcq57ijgfVGmmE19V1F29zPkwWjTQinJJJpfYtqA3ZcbY 1:18zvgu7k8WxAnwgghdudhdzYRCo7aEVPBUU:5JmAp8QgujxDhwJHwgkW9FkiuWEkSDwZL73Xu8ihAY2fy3Kjmn3 And do not use the "LINES STARTING BY 'Address'" in the command. CSV Data Import To MYSQL DB Using RUBY
If you are using Ruby, you could use the following code: require 'csv' def index end def add n=0 CSV::foreach(params[:dump][:file]) do |row| Student.new(row.to_hash.symbolize_keys).save n=n+1 end flash.now[:message]="CSV Import Successful, #{n} new records added to data base" end You can get more information about CSV:foreach on http://apidock.com/ruby/CSV I failed with the above reply because I assumed that the [:dump][:file] was the path to the file (string object), but seeing that error, you should read the file first (it is a TempFile object), and then parse the content as string: require 'csv' def index end def add n=0 CSV::parse(params[:dump][:file].read, :headers => true) do |row| Student.new(row.to_hash.symbolize_keys).save

Mysql import of non-csv data with field identifiers
I would rather use sed to convert those to INSERT .. SET ... statements like: INSERT INTO RECORDS SET ARTIST="BOOM JEFF=SINGER~BACKING MUSICIANS=BAND" , COMP="BOOM JEFF" , DATE="1980" , TIME="3.23" , FIELD3="FRONT ROW" , NOTE="LIVE RECORDING" replacing in-record newlines with ~ for example and after that analyse data with the help of SQL.

I am not exactly sure what is wrong, but you should be testing the value of $objQuery. If it is false, you should echo mysql_error() and die. That is the standard way to call mysql_query().

How to import "a lot" of data to MySQL with PHP and foreign keys?
I've dealt with similar data conversion problems, though at a smaller scale. If I'm understanding your problem correctly (which I'm not sure of), it sounds like the detail that makes your situation challenging is this: you're trying to do two things in the same step: import a large number of rows from CSV into mysql, and do a transformation such that the person-marathon associations work through person_id and marathon_id, rather than the (unwieldy and undesirable) varchar personkey column. In a nutshell, I would do everything possible to avoid doing both of these things in the same step. Break it into those two steps - import all the data first, in tolerable form, and optimize it later. Mysql is a good environment to do this sort of transformation, because as you import the data into

How to do a query in Mysql WorkBench?
As documented under Create EER Model from SQL Script: Clicking this action item launches the Reverse Engineer SQL Script wizard. This is a multi-stage wizard that enables you to select the script you want to create your model from. For further information, see Section 7.7.9.1, “Reverse Engineering Using a Create Script”. Following that link: However, if you are working with a script that also contains DML statements you need not remove them; they will be ignored. Instead, you want the Manage Data Import/Export option under Server Administration (within the Workspace section of the Home window).

How to import CSV file that doesn't have data for every column into mySQL
You have to make sure that there is no blank rows in file and even if a value is missing for a field the delimiter (comma in your case) is still there. Now if a file was produced on Windows machine you might need to change lines terminator to LOAD DATA INFILE 'badBDay.csv' INTO TABLE user_birthdays FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' LINES TERMINATED BY ' ' (username, user_birthday)

how to import data to the database(mysql) of django from txt file
I have done something similar. You should create a python script that read you input file and create the Model object(which translate in a record in your database). It would be the same thing as using the django-shell This link is a bit old but explains the concept. You want to adapt it to your version of Django ie: using setup_environ http://www.cotellese.net/2007/09/27/running-external-scripts-against-django-models/

MySQL Workbench 6.0.6.11184 too slow
I'm afraid Workbench isn't high on Oracle's priority list, which is sad, because there are few MySQL suites around and with TOAD for MySQL you can't do certain migrations. You could try with TOAD and there's also the MySQL component of Netbeans (which is oracle's by the way). I ditched MySQL Workbench after it kept crashing on a SQLServer to MySQL ETL.

Your best option is probably to create a stripped down version of the model that contains the objects you want to carry over. Then open the target model and run File -> Incude Model.. Select the stripped down source model and there you go.

MySQL WorkBench EER diagram dimensions are terrible
Looks like what you are after is a way to limit the output of an image export to a relatively small area, so that it fits nicely in another document. Several options are possible: 1) Export as png and simply cut off the unwanted parts. Depending on the further usage this might be good enough. 2) Export as SVG and use any of the SVG editors to limit the image size to the wanted area only. Then convert it to the format you need in your target document. 3) Set a paper size in the model that encompasses the content as close as possible. E.g. the statement paper type is quite small. Then rearrange your objects. Resize them if you need larger ones. By setting a larger font (via Preferences) you should be able to make the entire appearence larger. Then export as PDF.

How can I set client configuration for MySQL Workbench without an installed server?
MySQL Workbench doesn't load any server configuration file for its own configuration. It can work on such a config file for a server, however (server section, usually [mysqld] only). MySQL Workbench's configuration is a manual step you have to do in order to connect to a server (be it local or remote).

Moving and Copying Columns Between Tables in MySQL Workbench
The current version of MySQL Workbench is 6.0.7 and yes, you can copy and paste column definitions using the context menu in the table editor (not directly in the diagram). Just open the tables you want to edit. Usually, the editor is reused if an object of the same type is opened for editing, but there's an entry in the context menu of the objects that allows to open the object in a new tab. This way you can have two table editors on 2 tabs and can easily switch back and forth for copying e.g. column definitions.

How to make a 2-dimensional array in MySQL (using Workbench) as a key in a table?
Personally I would go for the following approach: a table movie_theater with all info about the movie theater (id, name, etc etc) a table movie that holds all the movies that can be shown a table projection that links a movie to a movie_theater and has a begin and end time_stamp this way a projection is linked to a movie_theater and a movie. When generating a time table for a certain period you simply select all projections from a certain movie_theater from inbetween the given timestamps

How do you model disjoint relationships between two relations in MySQL Workbench?
Your referring to the mandatory property of the foreign key makes me believe you are either misunderstanding the meaning of a disjoint relationship, or implementing it with a relation in the wrong "direction". Let's say we want to implement the following schema: class: Staff Member class: Permanent (specialises Staff Member) class: Temporary (specialises Staff Member) a Staff Member is either a Permanent employee or a Temporary contractor A corresponding EER schema would be (MySQL syntax): CREATE TABLE staff_member ( id INT PRIMARY KEY, name VARCHAR(20) NOT NULL ); CREATE TABLE permanent ( id INT PRIMARY KEY, next_appraisal DATETIME NOT NULL, FOREIGN KEY (id) REFERENCES staff_member(id) ); CREATE TABLE temporary ( id INT PRIMARY KEY, contract_end DATETIME NOT NULL,

MySQL query taking forever to run, what is wrong?
Things to check: Log the queries being executed from your C# code. You may "think" the same query is being executed from MySQL shell, but there's always a chance it may not be. Look at the query plan for the query and see what indexes, etc. are being used. You may need to create an index on Timestamp, which may help performance tremendously.
