iscroll on iphone: visual distortions. I suspect it's hardware related?
I was having some issues with iScroll 5 where images and even text would get distorted when scrolling to some items (works fine on browsers but fails on iPhones/iPads). I have 4 tabs with one scroll each. The first one works fine (maybe because it has less items?), but the others fail when scrolling to the last item or so. After some tests, I noticed that removing the CSS transition on the container (with the #id that I'm using to call the iScroll), solved the problem. I'm still keeping the transitions though. I just had to move it to a different container down on the DOM tree. (on my case it was just a fade in effect when the scroll finishes loading). It's a really strange bug... Hope it helps you solve your problem too.

Suspect incorrect Google Analytics Codes used
Two issues with your analytics code: If you want to send data to more than one account, you should give one of them a name (t2 in the code below) The _addOrganic commands should be before _trackPageview -- you'll also have to duplicate them for the t2 tracker. Something like: _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'xx-samplega-1']); _gaq.push(['_addOrganic', 'search.maxonline.com.sg', 'search']); ... _gaq.push(['_addOrganic', 'websearch.rakuten.co.jp', 'qt']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/ruby/appt_step1_page']); _gaq.push(['t2._setAccount', 'xx-samplega-2']); _gaq.push(['t2._addOrganic', 'search.maxonline.com.sg', 'search']); ... _gaq.push(['t2._addOrganic', 'websearch.rakuten.co.jp', 'qt']); _gaq.push(['t2._trackPageview', '/ruby/appt_step1_page']);

Windows Form throws Visual Styles-related exception mid-execution
Hans Passant was correct, this was a GDI handle leak. I couldn't reproduce it on my development environment, so needed to add some logging to my server. In case it helps anyone else, here is how I got the information I needed by invoking the GetGuiResources function. [DllImport("user32.dll", SetLastError = true, CharSet = CharSet.Auto)] static extern int GetGuiResources(IntPtr hProcess, int uiFlags); and using it to obtain handle counts: var p = Process.GetCurrentProcess(); kernel = p.HandleCount; gdiObjects = GetGuiResources(p.Handle, 0); userObjects = GetGuiResources(p.Handle, 1); gdiObjectsPeak = GetGuiResources(p.Handle, 2); userObjectsPeak = GetGuiResources(p.Handle, 4); Once that was in place, I saw that GDI objects were at the 10,000 ceiling w

Use iscroll v5 with requirejs
You can include the path of the iscroll plugin in the configuration file where you declare the dependencies and paths for other files. require.config({ locale: 'en_us', baseUrl: 'baseUrl', paths: { // Paths of the libraries being used 'Iscroll' : 'relative path to the file', ...... ...... Other files }, shim : { // If the library does not support AMD 'Iscroll': { exports: 'Iscroll' }, } }); Now if you want to use that in a specfic Module, just include it define(['Iscroll', other args], function(Iscroll, other args) { });

how to use iscroll javascript in phone gap?
You don't seem to be following the structure that iScroll asks for. The iScroll page specifically mentions (note the bold text): The optimal iScroll structure is: <div id="wrapper"> <ul> <li></li> ... ... </ul> </div> In this example the UL element will be scrolled. The iScroll must be applied to the wrapper of the scrolling area. Important: only the first child of the wrapper element will be scrolled. If you need more elements inside the scroller you may use the following structure: <div id="wrapper"> <div id="scroller"> <ul> <li></li> ... ... </ul> <ul> <li></li> ... ...

iScroll Ajax content
myScroll.refresh() (instead of .destroy() and recalling "loaded()") should do the trick! If you're using IScroll4 you can try to use the checkDOMChanges:true option of iscroll. If it still won't work - it could be a CSS issue caused by the scroll-wrapper (#scroller) not expanding with its content. (float,position:absolute; or something like that) EDIT: it seems to me as you're not handling a responseText of the request at all! According to this example you need an event handler for the onreadystatechange event: http.open("GET",url,true); http.onreadystatechange = function () { if (http.readyState == 4) { alert(http.responseText); //handle this response! (i.e. writing to an element's innerHTML) } }; http.send(null);

How to reload Iscroll after jqm datafilter change?
In stead of looking for events on the list object I have change my code to look for input in the search inputbox. Here's an example: $(document).on('pagebeforeshow',"*", function(e, data){ //bind keypress of datafilter to resize iscroll $('.ui-input-search > input').bind("keyup",function(){ myScroll.refresh(); }); }); Notes: Iscroll var has to be available in the scope to refresh it. This event is always called because of the * selector, using another selector would be better. I also don't know if the '.ui-input-search > input' selector is enough to cover only those search input boxes. Maybe someone else will come up with a better solution!

pull to refresh inside directive AngularJS using iScroll
In your directive definition, $location is injected into $parse and $parse into $location. knockoutjs "click" bindings fire twice on a touch device (iscroll issue)

iPhone 4 app displays as support for iPhone 5 not for iPhone 4
There is a strong reasons of it , let us understand it :- In Build setting of a iOS Project , there is a option of Target Devices. Where we have to set minimum supported device of iOS. That means if you want it to support for iPhone 4S (iOS 5) then you have to select Deployment Target as 5.0. Which means that your app can support iOS 5 and above. Hope this information helps you.

receiving memory warning issue in iphone when taking picture from iphone camera
What you can do is you can decrease the size of the photo.Because the photo you are taking has high resolution and big in size so first you scale down the size like below. - (void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo:(NSDictionary *)info { CGSize sizeCropped = CGSizeMake(602, 450);//you can give any size UIImage *theimage = nil; theimage = [yourclassname imageWithImage:image scaledToSize:sizeCropped]; //you can do here whatever you want with theImage [imgPicker dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil]; } + (UIImage*)imageWithImage:(UIImage*)image scaledToSize:(CGSize)newSize; { UIGraphicsBeginImageContext( newSize ); [image drawInRect:CGRectMake(0,0,newSize.width,newSize.height)]; UIImage* newImage = UIG

CSS3 Media Queries for targeting landscape on both iphone 4 and iPhone 5 sized sceens
Yeah, you can target landscape on both using: // Iphone 5 @media screen and (orientation:landscape) { .test { width: 50% } } // Iphone 4 and below, from @Danield's example @media only screen and (min-device-width : 320px) and (max-device-width : 480px) and (orientation : landscape) { .test { width: 30% } } Where the first is for iPhone 5, and the second is for iPhone 4 and below. Although, I think the second one should work for both in itself. But I can't confirm it since I don't own a 5. http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-mediaqueries/#orientation

Calculate the distance between the iPhone and an object, knowing their physical widths (of the iPhone as well)
I assume you mean that there is some outside image capturing device (be it a human eye or another camera) and the image capturing device, the phone, and the door are all in a line such that the phone appears to be the same width as the door. In this case, you still need a) the distance between the image capturing device and the phone and b) the optical information (such as focal length) of the image capturing device. Just sit down with a pen and paper and draw out the geometry for a little bit and you'll see that.

How to position a container view so it's the same distance from top of screen on iPhone 4 & iPhone 5?
If you're using layout constraints, just give the container view a fixed constraint to the top and bottom of the main view, and no fixed height. This will cause the view to expand and contract depending on the screen size. Depending where your scroll view is, one of the constraints might have to be to it, rather than the top or bottom of the screen (So, if the scroll view were on top, it would have a constraint to the top, a fixed height, and a spacing constraint to the container view below it. The container view would then just need one to the bottom of the superview).

How to embed the Google Maps iPhone app within my own native iphone application?
For iOS 6.1.1 and lower, use the openURL method of UIApplication. It will perform the normal iPhone magical URL reinterpretation. so [someUIApplication openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://maps.google.com/maps?q=London"]] should invoke the Google maps app. From iOS 6, you'll be invoking Apple's own Maps app. For this, configure an MKMapItem object with the location you want to display, and then send it the openInMapsWithLaunchOptions message. To start at the current location, try: [[MKMapItem mapItemForCurrentLocation] openInMapsWithLaunchOptions:nil]; You'll need to be linked against MapKit for this (and it will prompt for location access, I believe). You can also use UIApplication *app = [UIApplication sharedApplication]; [app openURL:[NSURL URLWithString: @"http://maps.google

Reading from file works in iPhone 6.1 Simulator, but not in iPhone device (iOS 6.1.3)
Try to diagnose whether the file exists when you try to read from it. You can do this with NSFileManager. Also check whether the file has the right size (or at least a non-zero size). Also, have you checked whether stringWithContentsOfFile actually returns a string? If an error occurs it will return nil and not raise an exception. If you get nil you can pass an NSError object to stringWithContentsOfFile and it will let you know what went wrong.

To use the NSData just use the NSData writeToFile:atomically: method. Pass in the NSTemporary() path and append a path component like "temp.mp4". At that point you have a filePath with valid data that you can use to load the audio asset. AVAudioPlayer can support loading from a URL. OR with iOS 7.0+ You can initialize the AVAudioPlayer directly with the NSData object. init(data data: NSData, fileTypeHint utiString: String?) throws et. al...

System Sound plays in iPhone simulator but on iphone not playing
Here's a small detail that many developers have wasted hours upon: Case Sensitivity Really, it all boils down to: iPhone Simulator: Case-Insensitive iOS device: Case-Sensitive So, you might have 'waterfall' in your code, but the actual sound name is 'Waterfall'. It might even be something like 'wAtErFaLl'. This will work fine on the simulator, but not on the device - the device simply won't find the sound. This has happened to me for everything from sounds to images to plists. Check your Cases! Also, AudioServices has some guidelines on what can play in the device and what can't: Sound files that you play using this function must be: - No longer than 30 seconds in duration - In linear PCM or IMA4 (IMA/ADPCM) format - Packaged in a .caf, .aif, or .wav file
