How can I sync events from yahoo/google calendar with MySql? - in PHP for a web app
Google Calendar allows Web application developers to access user-generated content and event information through its REST-based Developer API. PHP's SimpleXML extension and Zend's GData Library are ideal for processing the XML feeds generated by this API and using them to build customized PHP applications. This article introduces the Google Calendar Data API, demonstrates how you can use it to browse user-generated calendars; add and update calendar events; and perform keyword searches. Here is the article tutorial for that go to this link and learn how to do that. I think that will help you.

How to instantiate a com.google.api.services.calendar.Calendar object given an oAuth token?
After looking at some of the Google Calendar API's and examples it looks like the best way to assign a token to the Calendar is when initializing it. This takes some setup, take a look at this link: https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/instantiate My apologies if you have already been through it, but it looks like you may be able to make a few adjustments to that example. Right before the Calendar is initialized, this snipped of code is executed: GoogleAccessProtectedResource accessProtectedResource = new GoogleAccessProtectedResource( response.accessToken, httpTransport, jsonFactory, clientId, clientSecret, response.refreshToken); which in turn is used as part of the Calendars initialization. Looking at the documentation for GoogleAccessProtectedResource

Sync custom calendar with Android & iOS
I think the best way is to create your own app on iOS and Android, because maybe in the future you want to add more functionality to it that the native calendar doesn't support. So for iOS there is an example on developer.apple that will show you how to access and use most of the calendar features. On android, you can find more examples on how to use the calendar, on developer.android or on this SO post

How to add events to Outlook Calendar or Google Calendar programmatically?
Google Calendar seems to be the best choice, as you can use the Google Calendar API. For an example written in Java, look here. Just make sure to note the GCal API usage limits. Outlook doesn't seem to have some sort of an API, but maybe you can make use of or modify something like the Jpst or java-libpst.

Error 404 when creating a calendar with Google Calendar Api v3 using c# .net
Okey, my bad: You can't create a calendar with your own identifier, the purpose of CalendarListEntry.Insert() is to insert a created Calendar into the list of calendars So to create a new calendar one has to: Insert a new Calendar: https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/v3/reference/calendars/insert (DO NOT add id as paramater, this will be automatically created) Insert the ID of the calendar created in step 1 and insert it into the calendarList: https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/v3/reference/calendarList/insert

Google Calendar API - Not showing calendar
Indeed google calendar api doesn't provide a display widget to integrate calendar to your application. The api only gives you the possibility to retrieve every details about your calendars and their events, and then you'll have to find a way to display it on your screen if you want a nice layout.

Google Calendar API V3 - Insert Calendar
Honestly I haven't tried the google api with ruby, but in looking at your error and the google documentation I believe that summary is equal to title (as you stated). Also, in looking at other examples of inserts (maybe not calendar) I notice that the API can take a :body attribute which probably (in your case) contain the actual calendar data (i.e., "summary"). And here it actually mentions request "body" under tryit. So again, I haven't tried this but I would try something like the following: @result = client.execute( :api_method => service.calendars.insert, :parameters => # not sure what parameters the insert needs, :body => JSON.dump(cal), # where cal is the object containing at least "summary". :headers => {'Content-Type' => 'application/json'})

Not able to link the google events to the google calendar using simplepie
To answer your question about limiting events/articles, use the set_item_limit() function. For example: $feed->set_item_limit(5); // limit each feed to the top 5 articles/events $feed->init(); If you want to limit the total number that displays, use this: $max_items_total = 25; // limit the total number of articles displayed to 25 foreach ($feed->get_items(0, $max_items_total) as $key=>$item) { ... }

How can I know google sync is activated on an android device programmatically?
You should use AccountManager, filtering its results by account type (com.google), but above all by sync state, using a ContentResolver. Check out the code attached: AccountManager am = AccountManager.get(this); Account[] accounts = am.getAccountsByType("com.google"); boolean syncEnabled = ContentResolver.getSyncAutomatically(accounts[0], ContactsContract.AUTHORITY);

If I'm not mistaken, you could use v2 api (deprecated), which allows to login without oAuth. For v3 this is what I have for the authentication flow and it works (note, I don't use flow_from_clientsecrets): import gflags from oauth2client.file import Storage from oauth2client.client import OAuth2WebServerFlow flags = gflags.FLAGS flow = OAuth2WebServerFlow( client_id = 'some_id.apps.googleusercontent.com', client_secret = 'some_secret-32ijfsnfkj2jf', scope='https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar', user_agent='Python/2.7') # to get a link for authentication in a terminal, # which needs to be opened in a browser anyway flags.auth_local_webserver = False # store auth token in a file 'calendar.dat' if it doesn't exist, # otherwise just use it for authentication bas

Google App Engine Calendar
So as much as some think this is a poor question it demonstrates that there is not much out there in terms of help with the combination of Java, App Engine and OAuth. I have an ex Google employee at my company and he did agree that it is not as straightforward as it should be. Based on the reply to my post on the Google Group I decided to use Python where the OAuth2Decorator makes the task trivial. This was a very useful tutorial: https://developers.google.com/appengine/articles/python/getting_started_with_tasks_api If you HAVE to use Java these I apologise for this not really helping you, but if you are willing to give Python a go then I recommend the above link and using PyDev with Eclipse.

Google calendar API 400 error
Ok, I figured it out and I am leaving the answer for anyone else who is LOSING THEIR MIND over this. Despite what Google's documentation says about format for datetime in this case, the only format I could get to work was this: 2008-03-07T17:06:02.000Z so that's YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.MMMZ What is the Z for? I don't know, but it has to be there.

how to sync files from mysql hosting site to google drive
There's no direct way of synchronizing your local data with Drive. However, you can pseudo-sync with little load on your server by using Changes. Basically, you can get list of file changes since the time you specify. If I were you, I make a cron job of checking file changes from Drive and Files.get specific files that have changed.

Google App Engine to Calendar Authentication
There's a comment here that says: When you created your credentials, you probably indicated that the client credentials you were creating were for a web application instead of an installed application. When you do that, you enter a Redirect URI for that set of credentials. The sample you are using is using the out of band Redirect URI for installed applications which does not match the one you specified, so it will not allow you to compete the authentication flow. This is to protect you from malicious use of your client credentials. Open the APIs console and create a new client ID for "installed applications" instead of "web applications" and this should work. Did you set up a web application or an installed application?

Cmd window error for 'curl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. You can find window tools that will unpack a .tar file, eg. www.7-zip.org You can also download a Curl tool for windows, something like http://curl.haxx.se/download.html (Cmd is not always the best tool for command line interpreter in Windows.. Windows PowerShell is probably a better tool to use... but now you are pushing the limits on trying to learn too many new things at the same time.) On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd go there if I were you. If you need to look at Google's documentation for calendar its available online. I recommend you learn one or two new skills a

Change an img tag according to Google Calendar schedule
The key to keep the approach as user-friendly as possible (on the image-updating front) without having to rely on time-consuming implementations (i.e., user-friendly interface) is determining the elements which might easily communicate any change to the algorithm. Undoubtedly, these elements are the image files (their names). I have quickly come up with a naming convention delivering what you want (although it is expected to be highly improved by you): 07-23-2013_2.jpg (or .png or any pic extension) 3_1.jpg All the names include a "_" which separates the first element ("value") from the second one ("duration"). The value can be certain date (mm-dd-yyyy) or a counter: a certain date means that this image has to be used this day, no matter what; the counter is the default behaviour: if t

OAuth2 Login for Google Calendar API
Not sure it is possible, Important note concerning your design: if you login automatically to the club's account, it means that everyone that uses this website is logged in to Google Calendar on behalf of the club's user name. hence, everyone can CHANGE the calendar, delete events, etc. Are you sure you want this to happen? (you can set the login params to "read-only", but even then, it means that the club shows ALL his calendar to everyone. there is no privacy...) I suggest that every user logins with his own creds, and the club's calendar can invite all registered users to his events....
