How To: Make array from values of multiple input boxes - then store in a Rails model
Why are you doing it? You want to make list of data? 1 http://exampleurl.com/example_producturl Example product description. 5 http://exampleurl.com/example_producturl Another example product description. You can do <% products.each do |product| %> <%=link_to product_path(product)%> and description will be <%=product.name%> <%=product.price%> etc. Or I didn't understand the question?

jqGrid loadComplete function gets called multiple times,Also check boxes requires multiple clicks
Usually this means you are binding your event multiple times. It sounds like the button "next" has some code that would resemble $(function () { $('#nextButton').click(function(){loadComplete}) }); In the above example when ever the page is ready the click event gets bound to the function loadComplete. When ever your page is ready, it increase the time the function is going to occur by 1.

select/deselect all check boxes on click a single check box by javascript
With jQuery 1.6+, you can do $('.check-all').click(function () { var checked = this.prop('checked'); this.closest('table').find(':checkbox').prop('checked', checked); } where check-all is a class that the two "select/unselect all" checkboxes have.

Writing code that applies to multiple check boxes in VBA
Put this in a class moduled named clsCheckBoxHandler Public WithEvents chk As MSForms.CheckBox Private Sub chk_Click() MsgBox chk.Caption & " Clicked!" How to input multiple checkbox values into a hidden textbox via javascript
If you can use jQuery, you won't need much code: You could update the results whenever somebody clicks on a checkbox ($('input').on('click', function() {). I personally would use <label> elements, but that's just me. You could grab the values by $('input:checked').each(function() { values.push($(this).parent().text()); }); Here is a working example: http://jsfiddle.net/HarryPehkonen/zNfju/1/

MVC - How to submit two sets of multiple check boxes to controller action?
To do this, you have to render a collection. I will assume you have two collections in your model, one called Courses, and one called Tracks. @for(int i = 0; i < collection.Count(); i++ { // Boolean property indicating value is selected on your Courses view model submodel Html.CheckBoxFor(model => model.Courses[i].CourseSelected); Html.Raw(Model.Courses[i].CourseName); } Then do the same for your Tracks. EDIT; Assuming you have a ViewModel with a List<Course> where Course looks like this: public class Course { public bool CourseSelected {get;set;} public string CourseName {get;set;} } You will have to lookup the course based on the index of the checkbox collection. Thus, if Course[0] is set, you need to get the first course based on position. Y

You could use the isNaN Function. It returns true if the data is not a number. That would be something like that: function checkInp() { var x=document.forms["myForm"]["age"].value; if (isNaN(x)) // this is the code I need to change { alert("Must input numbers"); return false; } } Note: isNan considers 10.2 as a valid number.

How to check/tick radio input in javascript
From the docs for input at MDN radio: A radio button. You must use the value attribute to define the value submitted by this item. Use the checked attribute to indicate whether this item is selected by default. Radio buttons that have the same value for the name attribute are in the same "radio button group"; only one radio button in a group can be selected at one time. So what the doc says, you want to use the attribute checked. <input type="radio" name="printTemplate" value="2" checked="checked" /> Now to do it with JavaScript code, you would set the checked attribute //if you add an id document.getElementById("foo").checked = true; //if you only go by name document.getElementById("frmSubmit").printTemplate[1].checked = true;

JQuery: How to use the Each method to check values in all form input element
You are not breaking out of the loop once you meet the desired condition. Instead you are looping through all textboxes and eventually if last one does not have any value it will be set to red color no matter whichever prev ones has values as that is the last one in the iteration. Instead you can break out of .each() loop using return false; $('#myForm :input[type="text"]').blur(function () { $('#myForm input[type="text"]').each(function () { if (this.value == '') { $(".myText").css("color", "#F00") } else { $(".myText").css("color", "#9A9A9A"); return false; } }); }); For that matter you could reduce it down to: $('#myForm :input[type="text"]').blur(function () { $('.myText').css('color', function

How to check values in dictionary with multiple data
If I understand correctly, you are wanting to check if certain a last name has been updated to the correct first name. Since the order is unknown, and first names may be changed, it must also be necessary that last names are unique. If you must use a list of dictionaries for this you will need to loop through: userlist = [{u'first_name': u'a', u'last_name': u'ab'}, {u'first_name': u'c', u'last_name': u'cd',}] for user in userlist: if user['last_name'] == 'cd': if user['first_name'] == 'c': print "correct first name" else: print "incorrect first name" However, if you have unique last names, then it would be more efficient to just store users as a dictionary, with last names as keys and first names as values: if userdict['cd'] == 'c':

Get values of multiple text input fields with different name?
Can you give all the inputs a particular class? If so: var answers = {}; $(".theClass").each(function() { var fieldName = $(this).prop("name"); answers[fieldName] = $(this).val(); }); Now you have an object with the input names and the answers. If you can't give them a class, you could use $("input[type='text']").each(..., but I don't know if you have other text inputs on the page. If you do, maybe you could put them in a div with a certain class and use $(".myDiv").find("input[type='text']").each(...

changing values of multiple input fields
You have a few things wrong. first, don't use # in getElementById(). second is that div elements doesn't have .value attribute, use innerHTML instead.. the third is that you're trying to access multiple elements by their id instead of creating a class shared by all of them. Code example: HTML: <div id="div1" class="myDiv"></div> <div id="div2" class="myDiv"></div> <div id="div3" class="myDiv"></div> <div id="div4" class="myDiv"></div> <div id="div5" class="myDiv"></div> <div id="div6" class="myDiv"></div> ... jQuery: (tagged in question - easiest example) $(function(){ $('.myDiv').text('something'); });

Checking all check boxes when main check box is clicked
The reason it only works once is because you should have used prop(), not attr(). prop() changes the property, as in element.checked, while attr() changes the attribute, as in <input type="radio" checked="checked" />, and changing the attribute does not change the property, which is essentially what you want, as changing the attribute will only work once because the next time the property is checked it comes back the opposite of the attribute. See this SO question for an overview of the difference between prop and attr. $('#allcb').click(function(){ if ($('#allcb').is(':checked')) { $('.chk').each(function(){ $(this).prop('checked', true); }); } else { $('.chk').each(function(){ $(this).prop('checked', false); })

How to check null values in multiple fields in where clause mysql
COALESCE returns the first non-null value in the argument list. So your query will succeed if any of the fields are not null, it doesn't require them all to be non-null. You can instead use: SELECT * FROM manage_users WHERE CONCAT(<list of columns>) is NOT NULL and id='16' CONCAT(), like most ordinary functions, returns NULL if any of the arguments are NULL. To check for any empty values, add: AND LEAST(<list of string columns>) != '' This should just be the string columns; if you mix strings and numbers in LEAST, it converts all the strings to numbers, and any string that doesn't begin with a number will be converted to 0, so it won't do a proper test.

Php how to check multiple times (within `foreach`) if values from array exists in mysql?
Why make so much queries to begin with? Why not make a single giant SQL query that uses IN instead, e.g. $sqlValuesToCheck = '('; foreach ($value_to_check as $value) { $sqlValueToCheck .= "'" . $mysqli->real_escape_string($value) . "',"; } $sqlValueToCheck = rtrim($sqlValueToCheck, ',') . ')'; $result = $mysqli->query("SELECT `Column` FROM `Table` WHERE `Column` IN {$sqlValueToCheck}"); The above will get all `Table`.`Column` values that are also in the array. You mentioned that you'd like to check 3 columns... depending on how you want to use the result, you could use a UNION or simply list the other columns before the FROM.

Input user defined values inside multiple cells using vba
I don't think so, I've never seen that syntax. One thing you can do is something like: For Row = 1 To 5 Range("a" + CStr(Row)).Value = Row Range("b" + CStr(Row)).Value = (Row + 5) Mod 10 Next Row assuming that you want it set up thus: A B +------ 1 | 1 6 2 | 2 7 3 | 3 8 4 | 4 9 5 | 5 0 You may need to use Mid(CStr(Row),2) - I can't remember off the top of my head if Cstr gives you a leading space for non-negative numbers.
