Is it possible to get credit card type using card.io?
I have no experience of using card.io. But your question got me all curious about this API. In github, I found it and in there, there is a file: CardIOCreditCardInfo.h // Derived from cardNumber. // When provided by card.io, cardType will not be CardIOCreditCardTypeUnrecognized or CardIOCreditCardTypeAmbiguous. @property(nonatomic, assign, readonly) CardIOCreditCardType cardType; Hope this helps. I am trying to learn this, if it doesnot help you please tell me.

Retrieving phone number from SIM card error
See this thread for more information on this issue. Specifically, the below comment on the accepted answer: Actually, not so perfect. Last time I tried this method, it reported the phone number that my phone originally had, before my old mobile number was ported over to it. It probably still does, as the Settings app still shows that defunct number. Also, there are reports that some SIMs cause this method to return null. That being said, I'm not aware of a better answer. – CommonsWare It seems that getting a user's phone number is not as simple as asking the OS to hand it over, for reasons beyond the control of the developer. An alternative is to populate whichever field you need with the number the OS gives, but also let the user edit the phone number in case the OS is wrong.

Secure java card access in windows phone 8
There is something in place through the Wallet and SecureElement APIs which allows you to access the UICC. This requires some privileges. This was developed in the context of NFC payment, and may require a specific SIM. Probably more APIs will emerge in the next release of Windows Phone 8.

Well, When you've got the path of the USB device, try File usbPath = new File("path_to_usb_device"); File[] sdcardsPath = usbPath.listFiles(); for(File ff : sdcardsPath) { Log.d("File repo", ff.getAbsolutePath()); }

How to get more advanced network interface card type in Linux and Mac OSx
There is no direct equivalent. The Windows API mixes two properties: protocol and driver. To get interface protocol (Ethernet, ATM, Loopback, firewire) you can use SIOCGIFHWADDR ioctl which will return "Link Encapsulation". In most computers, it will be either loopback or Ethernet (most devices, including Wifi, tunnels, etc.. are Ethernet). This information is shown by 'ifconfig' tool: $ ifconfig | grep encap eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:21:cc:xx:xx:xx lo Link encap:Local Loopback virbr0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:00:00:00:00 wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:24:d7:xx:xx:xx To get interface driver, you can explore /sys/class/net/INTERFACE/device/ path. Then you can just use various heuristics: # get driver name $ readlink /sys/class/net/eth0/dev

Why we call unbounded wild-card parameterized type as reifiable?
From that website: the reifiable types in Java are only those types for which reification does not make a difference, that is, the types that do not need any runtime representation of type arguments There is no type information in the wildcard parameters, therefore nothing is lost by erasure.

That is what the layout folders are for. There are the density attributes such as ldpi, mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi for low, medium, high, and extra high density screen resolutions. There are also small, normal, large, xlarge for the screen sizes. You could have the folders such as res/layout-normal-hdpi and res/layout-large-hdpi and many others with all of the various xml layouts in each folder and Android will pull the layout from the most appropriate folder to display. How to remove previous data on the user's phone after releasing new version?
I don't think there is any event fired when you app is installed or launched for the first time. So if you are storing your data as IsolatedStorageSettings.ApplicationSettings, the best option would be to store the app version in the ApplicationSettings and clear use IsolatedStorageSettings.ApplicationSettings.Clear(); the first time you notice an outdated version.

How to force close windows phone app programmatically if version is not compatible
If you develop the app targetting Windows Phone 8, the user won't be able to install it in a device running Windows Phone 7. So you don't have to worry about it. In order to be executable in both platforms, the app has to target Windows Phone 7.1. But that doesn't make sense in your case. If you want only Windows Phone 8 users to use your app, set it's target to Windows Phone 8, and it will only execute in that platform.

What is the difference between twitter photo card and summary with large image card?
The difference between a summary_large_image card and a photo card is what occurs when the user clicks on the image in the card: In the case of a summary_large_image card, a click on the image opens the link in a new tab (or in a browser on smartphones). In the case of a photo card, a click on the image opens a bigger version of the image in the same browser window (or displays the image full-screen on smartphones).

Java Card: How to load SIM applet to real smart card?
It might not work because the SIM application might have dependencies to APIs that are not present in the JCOP cards (for instance ETSI 102 705). But then it is worth trying. Make sure that the file format is compatible between the tools (a cap file is not always a cap file by the way; a real cap file is a zip, some tools prefer IJC files). Try using the cap file from the Gemalto tool in the jcManager. If it does not work you can try GPShell. The main challenge is to have the keys to your target, and then the right tool.

Im trying to figure out how to deal a card from the deck in my card game class
yeah, now that i've thinked about, "hand" was empty because you fill it from "deck" that is in turn empty. Maybe you can define a method "initDeck" in deck class that fills the deck with random cards, and call it from game constructor. or maybe you already do this out of the game class, but in that case you should pass the deck to game!

Coordinate Id of same card that is read by two different card readers
Its rather hard to understand just exactly what your wanting, but in the bottom you state: 'in other words, i want to convert this array of bytes to corresponding hex code'. You can perform that operation like so: public static string ByteArrayToString(byte[] ba) { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(ba.Length * 2); foreach (byte b in ba) { sb.AppendFormat("{0:x2}", b); } return sb.ToString(); } Just pass in your Byte array and the result will be your hex conversion in string format. Edit: This will probably yield the same results, but try this: byte[ ] bytes = {0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 255 } Console.WriteLine( BitConverter.ToString( bytes ) );

See the header files, which are pretty well documented, for more details. The older version of the SDK is has been publicly deprecated for nearly a

Card holder's name in APDU commands (ICC Card)
Reading the card holders name and other info on a chip & pin card is not as simple as you might think. It's not as simple as just one straight forward APDU , there are several more steps you have to go through first. First you need to perform an application selection. How you do this, depends on your card and your terminal. There are 2 standard ways. 1) Application file selection 2) AID Scanning For type 1, you typically call a known file name using the select file apdu (NOTE: I'm not going to implement full apdu sentences in what I type here as there is just too much data to try and represent, if there is enough attention to this post then I might do a blog entry) The file name to select for most EMV standard cards is '1PAY.SYS.DDF01' or '2PAY.SYS.DDF01' for contactless ca

I think that your best bet is to specify the type as "Container" and then set the HTML output manually with method "renderHtml" as can be seen in the documentation at: http://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/api4:class.tinymce.ui.Container On the right side of that page you get to see a list of all the available types. This could be extended obviously if you decide to code your own Image control.

chessboard type grid on windows phone 8
Create a two-level view model of rows and cells. Bind the rows to an ItemsControl, then in the item template, bind the cells to another ItemsControl. Each cell will have a property to tell if it is even or odd, so you can achieve the checkerboard pattern. You can expose game state through additional properties of the cell to display board position through data binding. Finally, since the cells will have a fixed size, wrap the whole thing in a Viewbox to fit it to your container. The view models: public class BoardViewModel { private readonly int _rows; private readonly int _columns; public BoardViewModel(int rows, int columns) { _rows = rows; _columns = columns; } public IEnumerable<RowViewModel> Rows { get {

How to change Phone number format in input as you type?
You've probably already solved this problem, but it's worth noting for future reference that anyone else with the need to apply multiple masks to a control may want to explore this inputmask plugin. It has more callbacks, settings and many out of the box mask types(be sure to take a look at the extension files). You can also define multiple masks for a control, and the plugin will try and apply the appropriate mask based on the value. Here is a fiddle to demo the previous statement: $(window).load(function() { var phones = [{ "mask": "(###) ###-####"}, { "mask": "(###) ###-##############"}]; $('#textbox').inputmask({ mask: phones, greedy: false, definitions: { '#': { validator: "[0-9]", cardinality: 1}} }); }); <script src="https://ajax.googleapis

How to get type of a contact stored in SIMCARD in android version above 4.0?
When I fetch CURSOR for SIM CONTACTS, it gives me 5 columns fields which are name, number, extra_number, emails and _id. Android: Master-Detail type FilterChooser one screen on phone
There are several possibilities to solve your issue, here are two: You can create a custom layout that integrates some Buttons on the left, a listView on the right and some Buttons at the bottom. But as I understand you, you want to add multiple filters, so it will be better to solve this dynamically: You can create a layout that has a Fragment on the left and a listFragment on the right. To control the listViews behaviour you can write your own Adapter (e.g. BaseAdapter). To customize your listItems you have to override the getView() method. You also have to read this article about ViewHolder to ensure a good performance of your listView.

How to embed or customize office type ribbon tools in windows phone 8
There are no ribbon controls available out-of-the-box for Windows Phone. You should not use/implement ribbon controls on Windows Phone. You have very limited screen real estate and don't want to fill it with unnecessary controls. Why would you want to embed a ribbon in a TextBox?
