Varnish with wordpress breaks the wordpress visual editor?
Yes it was happening whether logged in or not. The issue was with the call to devicedetect in the vcl_recv. I created a new vcl_recv after the first to handle the devicedetect routine. This somehow fixed the problem. Thanks

WordPress Editor Page Disappeared
The administrative plugin/theme editor can be disabled through the constant DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT in the file wp-config.php. It comes as a security measure. As a fellow at WordPress Answers put it: editing plugin/themes this way is like working on the plane engine while it's on flight. The biggest shortcoming is that this editor doesn't have backups. Any simple mistake may take the site down and you'll have to go through FTP to disable the theme/plugin, download it and correct the bug. I've discussed this constant and its alternatives in this Q&A: Alternatives to DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT wp-config Constant? It Breaks Some Plugins.

wordpress editor removes/re-formats tag within the tag
Your problem is that your <a> tags don't have href attributes in them, so I think that WordPress's TinyMCE editor is treating them as named anchors and not links. What you need to do is just put a dummy href="#" in your links and it should work fine, like so: <p> <a href="#" class="home_link sel_link" id="home_link_01" title="ABOUT" onclick="javascript: return home_link_click(1);"><span>ABOUT</span></a><br /> <a href="#" class="home_link" id="home_link_02" title="TEXTS" onclick="javascript: return home_link_click(2);"><span>TEXTS</span></a><br /> <a href="#" class="home_link" id="home_link_03" title="STILLS" onclick="javascript: return home_link_click(3);"><span>STILLS</span></a><br />

Media Gallery Items not displaying for Editor Role, Wordpress
Figured it out. It did end up being an odd bug related to permissions restrictions due to a custom plugin we wrote for the site. It seemed we couldn't restrict access to dashboard items with both 'User Role Editor' and our custom plugin. The only odd thing was that this did not seem to interfere while the site was on our testing server. Once it went live the permissions interfered with each other (?) but nonetheless it was discovered by systematic troubleshooting which plugin and then which functions were causing the error.

Wordpress: Calling featured image as background image with custom size
I don't know what your HTML is and I'm assuming you know how to run a CSS media query. I would suggest trying something like the following #featured img{ width: 80%; (or pixels if you prefer) } This will scale the image down to 80% width (and height) of any image within the featured div Please provide further code such as HTML or possibly your website. I can probably assist you a lot better.

How do you upload image and set it as featured image on wordpress using C# metaweblog api?
I found the answer to the problem. XML-RPC alone cannot set any uploaded image to featured image. Head over to this issue page http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/15098. The patch allows returning the ID information of the uploaded image when using wp.uploadFile/metaWeblog.newMediaObject. Once the image ID(not the image URL) is returned, you can set it to wp_post_thumbnail and it should appear as featured image. Another workaround without going this route is by uploading the image first and you should be able to retrieve the URL of the image. Query ID information from wordpress database table called wp_posts where image id is equal to the name of the image uploaded. From there, you can then set the ID to wp_post_thumbnail. Thanks a lot.

How to raise error on image upload failure in Ajax Html Editor Extender?
Since this is a server-side control you should be able to report errors like you would server-side for anything else (i.e. ASP.NET Label control with red forecolor and invisible until an error occurs), like this: <asp:Label id="ErrorLabel" runat="server" ForeColor="Red" Visible="False"/> Then on the method referenced in your OnImageUploadComplete attribute of the extender control you can direct error information to this error label control.

Those are NOT ERRORS. Do not overreact. As it said, it's looking for the environmental variable HOME to have been set, but you can just go fill in information that it would guess from that in the Git preferences. These messages do not appear in newer versions of eGit. And just because you opened a Runtime Workbench does not mean your editor will be automatically opened. If it's not opening when you try to open one of its supported fie types, open a question with the stack traces of its failures.

Event based editor like in StarCraft 2 Editor (algorithm)
Sounds like a job for jQuery UI. When the user creates a custom area in your editor all it's attributes are stored inside an object (that you can save as JSON) that would then be applied to a div as param when loading the map (using html-attributes. function create_areas(areas){ var map = $('#map_area'); for(var i=0;i<areas.length;i++){ map.append($('<div>', area[i].params)); } } whereas params would look something like this: params = { width: 100, height: 200, .... mousedown: function(){ play_music('hello'); }, keydown: function(e){ alert('you pressed ' + e.keyCode; } } also the jQuery UI tools like draggable and resizeable should ease up building your editor.

Getting the editor content - Ext-Js html editor
You need to use the getValue method of the editor to retrieve its content. handler is an option of the button. You'll need a reference to the editor in the handler, to get its content. You can get it from the form with the findField method, or with a component query. Here's how to update your code to alert the content of the editor when clicking the save button. I've added a second save button to show you the component query method. I've tested it in this fiddle. Ext.onReady(function() { Ext.tip.QuickTipManager.init(); var top = Ext.create('Ext.form.Panel', { frame:true, title: 'HtmlEditor plugins', bodyStyle: 'padding:5px 5px 0', //width: 300, fieldDefaults: { labelAlign: 'top', msgTarg

Rich Text Editor (YUI Simple Text Editor used) not sending data to next page
The saveHTML() method you used does not seem to save the value to the textarea element. And because the browser doesn't care about YUI Editor and just submits what is there already in the textarea (which is null), it submits the input as null.. You should set the value of the textarea to the editor value so the browser will submit that value instead of null.. Which can be achieved using this little line: document.getElementsById("msgpost").value = html; See this working JsFiddle I made for you. However you had HTML syntax errors too. The onSubmit attribute should be on the form element not the submit button. And listening to the event is not practical when you can simply call a function when the form submits.. (See the JsFiddle)
