Windows Mobile emulator network connection on Windows 7 64bit
You are talking about two different things. One is "How to 'cradle' Devcie Emulator Images and the other is how to get a working virtual network card in Emulator Image: For the virtual network setup look here: http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000241.htm. You need to install a special driver. For 'docking' (cradle) option download Device Emulator Manager and after starting a Windows Mobile Emulator select 'Cradle' in the context menu of the running emulator inside device emulator manager. If you have problems with docking, chack that DMA is enabled in WMDC Connection Settings. Also check the option "USB to PC" (Start-Settings-Connections) and ActiveSync Connection setup inside emulated Windows Mobile device. As you have done changes that may conflict with the desired setup, I reco

How do I migrate an existing Windows Azure VM to a Windows Azure virtual network?
I haven't verified the flow, but it should be working fine. Follow these steps: Make sure you are not using static IP on your AD/DC. The IP Addresses in Azure shall always be DHCP allocated! Shut down the AD/DC Copy the VHD blob to a new blob! I strongly suggest that you have the OS Disk (VHD blob) in a storage account which is in the same affinity group as the Virtual Network. So, if the current OS Disk is not in a Storage Account, which is in the same affinity group as the VNet, create a new storage account and copy the original VHD there. Please note that you should copy the blob only when the VM is shut down! Create the sub-net you want to bring the VM in. (probably you already have created it). Create a new VM using the copied VHD as an OS Disk and selecting the Virtual Network and

How do I add a website to a virtual network in Windows Azure?
Currently you cannot connect/add Azure Web Site to a Virtual Network. You can only add VMs and Cloud Services to a Virtual Network. However this is a demanded feature and I believe we will see it in the future releases of the Web Sites service (my speculation).

Monitoring Network traffic in Windows Mobile 6.5 using C#?
Yes netlog is an example provided within Windows CE Platformbuilder. When you look at the source code, you will see that netlog is a 'driver' DLL and netlogctl is used to control the DLL. I fear that architecture is not to be re-build using C#. You cannot write native driver DLLs using C#. BUT, you can also use iphlpapi, see my netstat example: http://www.hjgode.de/wp/2013/09/24/mobile-development-netstat-know-your-devices-open-ports/. You get an overall stat: ======= TCP statistics ======== Retransmission timeout (min/max): Van Jacobson's Algorithm: 300/120000 max connnections: -1 active open: 69 passive open: 196 failed attempts: 0 established resets: 243 current established: 20 segments i

Toast notification without network - windows phone
A Windows Phone application won't show a toast notification while the application is running, so it's up to you to intercept the notification and respond accordingly - typically by updating the UI of the app in place versus displaying a toast per se. You'll want to implement the ShellToastNotificationReceivedEvent to handle the scenario where the app is in the foreground.

Share Windows folder outside my local network
Oh my! First, this is an extremely bad idea to open a network share to the outside world. Access databases are shared as normal files through the smb protocol. That protocol is not really secure and opening your machine as such (you need to open and forward TCP port 139) would certainly invite lots of unwanted attention (in short, your machine will probably be exposed and taken over in a matter of a few minutes/hours unless you know exactly what you are doing to secure it). Second, letting people access an Access database over anything else than a fast wired LAN is another extremely bad idea (WiFI, even if it's on a local network, is bad because it's unreliable and drops in the connection can damage the access file). The only ways you can share an Access database over the internet are:

share image doesn't refresh
you will see still croped picture That is your actual og:image http://pravoved.ru/images/pravoved-avatar.jpg, but as you said, it gets cropped by Facebook. In the share dialog, when you inspect the preview image, you can see its URL is https://fbexternal-a.akamaihd.net/safe_image.php?d=AQAtXVeqx7Q9IPa8&w=100&h=100&url=http%3A%2F%2Fpravoved.ru%2Fimages%2Fpravoved-avatar.jpg&cfs=1&upscale – so you can clearly see that the value of the url parameter is what you want it to be. If you change the last parameter of that URL to upscale=0, you can see it is exactly your image (cropped to square). (You can’t do that in the dialog, of course – I’m mentioning it just to prove the point.) Your original image is only 100 x 103 pixels big, whereas Facebook recommends

IFileOperation::DeleteItems doesn't ask for confirmation on Windows 8 (unlike Windows 7)
From the comments: Whether a confirmation is displayed is a user setting. It can be changed from the Properties window of the recycle bin. On your Windows 8 system, that option is disabled. On your Windows 7 system, that option is enabled. It may be, as you suggest, that the default value of this option has been changed in Windows 8, but you can still manually enable it.

connecting to mac localhost via windows computer sharing the same network
Providing that you edited the hosts file in Windowssystem32driversetchosts, it should normally work most of the time. If it doesn't, the only thing I can think off is that it it sometimes necessary to reset and clear the cache in Windows 7. You can have a look at Windows 7 refresh DNS for guidance. There is a step by step post here.

How to copy files from Mac OS to Windows which are in same network using command line?
If you can copy the files using the Finder then you have connected to the SMB share. You can see this from the command line by looking in the /Volumes folder. On the command line, issue the command: ls /Volumes You should see the SMB share listed along with some other names. Then to copy files to it: cp myfiles/* /Volumes/MySMBShare/mydirectory If the name of the share has spaces in it you will need to escape them with spaces like so: cp myfiles/* /Volumes/My SMB Share/mydirectory

Faster way to access a file on a Windows 7 network share?
The issue was with nslookup taking a while to resolve the name. Using the IP of the network drive directly instead of using the name fixed the problem. We will probably end up putting all our addresses in the hosts file (system32driversetc) for Windows.

Programmatically create/destroy network bridges with .NET on Windows 7
It turns out that, unfortunately, there is no documented way of setting up a network bridge. The code which does that is located inside hnetcfg.dll, and is invoked only by Windows Explorer. It installs bridge driver, and configures bridge interface. It might be possible to call it yourself (using COM), but that would require reverse engineering and may break on any system update, so I recommend against doing that.

HTML5/JavaScript File with Canvas doesn't work with Chrome&Firefox on windows 8 but works with all browsers on windows 7. why?
I am assuming your Windows 7 laptop did not have touch. This meant that all browsers had to capture mouse/touchpad events. However, if you had a Windows 8 touch laptop, the browsers can have different input sources (e.g. touchpad or touchscreen). Different browsers may use different implementations of handling each input causing this discrepancy which you are seeing.

Network Provider doesn't work sometimes when the Device not connected to the Internet
The network provider requires a connection to the network to work. Its algorithm is to detect what towers it can see and their signal strengths and tries to triangulate a location. For further accuracy it also uses Wifi SSIDs. If it isn't connected to those sources, it has no way of telling where you are.

Why reloading the page doesn't refresh the form?
This is a feature of many web browsers. It's so the user doesn't have to refill all the fields if (for whatever reason) they leave the page. If the form really does need to be cleared then yes, you'll have to force browsers to do that. But do you really need all the inputs to be cleared every time? Is this really a feature you want to disable?

WebView in 8.1 has mechanism to intercept resource requests and replace them with your own. See http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/Build/2013/3-179 around 42 minutes. Basically you will have to create your own implementation of IUriToStreamResolver.UriToStreamAsync that uses HttpClient to get all of your data through proxy.

How to refresh canvas in Windows Phone Silverlight?
Silverlight doesn't have a specific function to redraw the screen - it will redraw automatically when you add a remove an element from the visual tree. It looks like in the above example, the DrawPath function translates an array into elements on the screen. If you clear all the elements, and then redraw everything, you should see the line removed. EntityManger keeps id of removed object and doesn't refresh id after adding new one
I would not recommend reincarnating objects. If you want to persist a new object, then create a new object and persist it, do not use a formerly deleted instance. When you remove an instance, there should be no references to it anymore, including from your app, as the object no longer exists. Also, removing and persisting objects with the same id in the same transaction, is normally not a good idea. If you can, try to use a unique id for each new object. To confirm your error, you remove the same object with the same id twice it the same transaction and persist it once, and the second remove does not work? What does not work, do you get an error, or is no SQL DELETE statement generated? What JPA provider and version are you using? Can you try separate transactions, instead of the s

Windows Azure virtual machine is slow to access network when scaling
The VM sizes each have their own bandwidth limitations. | VM Size | Bandwidth | | ------------- |:-------------:| | Extra Small | 5 (Mbps) | | Small | 100 (Mbps) | | Medium | 200 (Mbps) | | Large | 400 (Mbps) | | Extra Large | 800 (Mbps) | I suspect you always have one copy of your mounted VHD and have ~150 instances hitting it. Increasing the VM size of the VM hosting the VHD would be a good test but an expensive solution. Longer term put the files in blob storage. That means modifying your scripts to access RESTful endpoints. It might be easiest to create 2-3 drives on 2-3 different VMs and write a script that ensures they have the same files. Your scripts could randomly hit one of the 2-3 mounted VHDs to spread out the load. H

Windows Forms - VB.NET Check if Network Folder Exists without share access?
Generally, it's good security practice to not acknowledge the existence of something unless the requesting party has access rights to it. The file share server (samba?) is most likely just following this principle and you cannot change it if you really have zero access rights.
