This browser is not supported by Shopify While Authenticating Using Web Browser Control In Windows
Your question does not describe at all what you are trying to do and what problem you are trying to solve in doing so, so my only suggestion is: Don't use a Web Browser control, but use an HTTP client like HttpClient or HttpWebRequest and access their API. There's even have a .NET library for that.

All HTML Tags supported by a Browser
If you're willing to start with a known list of candidate tags, you could try something like this: document.createElement("asdf") instanceof HTMLUnknownElement true document.createElement("canvas") instanceof HTMLUnknownElement false If you need to support IE8, you could use this approach: function browserSupports(elementTagName) { var el = document.createElement(elementTagName); return !((el instanceOf HTMLUnknownElement) || (el instanceof HTMLGenericElement)); } Here's another approach that doesn't rely on specific named constructors. function browserSupports(elementTagName) { var unknownel = document.createElement("zzxcv"); var el = document.createElement(elementTagName); return unknownel.constructor !== el.constructor; } It still doesn't seem to work in IE8

Rails 3.1 AJAX supported changes not reflected in browser
I don't see anything wrong with your code, but here are my thoughts: I'm not sure about the internals of your @cart.add_product(...) method, the code looks like it returns the updated complete cart object (with the added product), correct? In the browser (with Firebug or whatever), do you see the server sending you the HTML snippet that is supposed to be inserted?

How can I display a div if a user is using a browser not supported by Twitter Bootstrap
You can easily customize the info-box's styles and layout using the linked script. Just look here. If you want even more customization, you can use the script provided on quirksmode.org Just copy this whole script into your js-file (after the page has been loaded --> document is ready) var BrowserDetect = { init: function () { this.browser = this.searchString(this.dataBrowser) || "An unknown browser"; this.version = this.searchVersion(navigator.userAgent) || this.searchVersion(navigator.appVersion) || "an unknown version"; this.OS = this.searchString(this.dataOS) || "an unknown OS"; }, searchString: function (data) { for (var i=0;i<data.length;i++) { var dataString = data[i].string; var dat

How can I prevent IE from opening supported text or image file types directly in the browser window
This is more complicated than most people imagine due to support for MIME Handlers in IE. In most cases, you can get the behavior you want by sending a Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=whatever.dat response header. If you'd like, you can also suppress the Open button using the X-Download-Options directive, introduced in IE8 to control visibility of the "Open" button on the file download dialog. See http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/07/02/ie8-security-part-v-comprehensive-protection.aspx. This directive is currently only supported in IE8+. This header partially obsoletes existing "DownloadOptions" META tag introduced in IE6: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms533689(VS.85).aspx.

Cannot find any of the supported PHP image extensions
It's probably looking for GD and/or ImageMagick extensions. Clearly you have neither installed. The reason they're not installed will depend on who hosts your PHP environment. It seems likely that shared hosting providers may not have them enabled.

How to find the max image size supported for contacts images?
From the announcement: With Android 4.1, you can store contact photos that are as large as 720 x 720, making contacts even richer and more personal. Apps can store and retrieve contact photos at that size or use any other size needed. The maximum photo size supported on specific devices may vary, so apps should query the built-in contacts provider at run time to obtain the max size for the current device. I would query for ContactsContract.DisplayPhoto.CONTENT_MAX_DIMENSIONS_URI. It should return what you're looking for.

DllGetClassObject return "No such interface supported" while CoCreateInstance can find it successful
CoCreateInstance (for in-proc servers) works in two stages. First, it loads the DLL and calls DllGetClassObject with the CLSID you pass, asking for IClassFactory interface. Second, it calls IClassFactory::CreateInstance on the pointer thus obtained, with the IID you pass. The object that DllGetClassObject knows how to create - the class factory - does not normally itself implement any interfaces other than IClassFactory and, of course, IUnknown.

As Visual Studio 2008 was released before SQL Server 2008, the development environment database tools were coded without knowing about SQL Server 2008. However, since these versions of Visual Studio were released before SQL Server 2008, the design-time tools cannot interact with SQL Server 2008 - even though it is possible to programmatically access the data in a SQL Server 2008 database from applications written with Visual Studio 2008 or 2005 Source: Connecting to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 from Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 Luckily, Microsoft did release a patch for both Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, which is also referenced in the article (to save you reading the whole thing, for Visual Studio 2008, you need to install Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack

how to find particular site is already open or not in the browser?
There is no way to run any client side code in an HTML formatted email. So this is impossible. The closest you could come would be to: use some kind of token to identify a user (e.g. stored in a cookie) run some heart beat code to see if they are still on the page (e.g. use XMLHttpRequest to request a 1 byte file every 15 seconds using a page id generated when the page was loaded and the user id in the cookie) check on the server to see if a heart beat from a different page was received recently when a new copy of the page is loaded serve different content if it is

How do I find what parts of an npm package work in the browser, and which don't?
Actually, I believe that when using something like Browserify, you can require nearly every package without much problems... according to Browserify docs: Many npm modules that don't do IO will just work after being browserified. Others take more work. Many node built-in modules have been wrapped to work in the browser, but only when you explicitly require() or use their functionality. However, I'm not experienced with Browserify so I can't ensure it to you; but I can surely say that it would be an extra layer in any app. "Does it need it?" should be asked in such moment. As I'm a guy who prefer to manage only Node.js packages with npm, I'm against trying to use them in a browser this way. Most browser compatible packages will notify the user when they are tested for such p

Find PID of browser process launched by Selenium WebDriver
To get process id and attempt to kill it you would use Process class. The methods of interests are: GetProcessesByName Kill Once you resolve a process by name you can query it's property: process.Id for an id. Keep in mind, some browsers, like Google Chrome have several running processes (Chrome has at least one running process per tab). So if you want to kill it, you need to kill all the processes.

jQuery Find and Replace is Hanging up the browser! Data size too big?
It is really hard untangle the mess you have but if what you want is ajax requests every 10 seconds it make sense to separate this logic from business logic over data from server. Your code would also really benefit from using promises. Consider this example $(document).ready(function() { var myData = { } , ajaxPromise = null setInterval(callServer, 1000) function callServer() { ajaxPromise = updateCall() .then(controlCall) .done(handler) .error(errorHandler) } function updateCall() { return $.get('updateTable.php', function(data) { myData.update = data }) } function controlCall( ) { return $.get('ajaxControl.php', function(data)

Find all the on a page in a browser that doesn't support them
If you're using jQuery, you can get them using .filter(): var $unsupported = $('input').filter(function() { return this.type !== $(this).attr('type'); }); This'll select all unsupported inputs, so you may want to filter that further using .filter('[type="number"]') or do that from within the filtering function. A pure JS solution isn't much different: var inputs = document.getElementsByTagName('input'); for (var i = 0; i < inputs.length; i++) { if (inputs[i].type === inputs[i].getAttribute('type')) { continue; } // inputs[i] isn't supported by the browser } And a demo: http://fiddle.jshell.net/PENRD I tested it in IETester and it worked down to IE6.

Restrict browser refresh, f5, browser back like banking sites through javascript/jquery
(1) No. There no possible cross-browser way to control browser functionality with javascript/jquery. (2) Banking sites do not restrict or control the browser functionality. They only ask users to desist. At most they attempt to detect some actions and then show errors. But, they don't try to control the browser. (3) This is a bad idea.

How to open links in default browser inside InApp Browser on PhoneGap
I have been using this as a workaround (opening an inappbrowser instance): // Image zoom $('#container').on('tap', '#content.cmscontent img', function() { var browser = window.open((navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Android') != -1 ? 'file:///android_asset/www/' : '') + encodeURI($(this).attr('src')), '_blank', 'location=no,toolbar=yes,enableViewportScale=yes,transitionstyle=crossdissolve'); }); See I added (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Android') != -1 ? 'file:///android_asset/www/' : '') as a prefix before the url. Now it detects when you're app is on Android and adds the local URL in front of it.

Probably what you meant was simply: var uri = '/viewer/loaddrawing/'; document.getElementById('iframetitle').src = uri + '?key=' + value; There is no JSON involved, so the iframe will get a PDF directly. However, notice that the client must have a PDF-viewer plugin, otherwise the browser will ask for a download prompt.

Asp.Net: Retaining the old browser session after closing and reopening browser instance
You cannot reclaim the session-id as such, but you can certainly restore some of the predictable part of the session state. If you are using forms authentication, then just read the forms-auth cookie in global.asax session start and re-populate the session objects. You can control the expiration of forms-authentication cookie manually by creating a persistent cookie by using: FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(userName, true) Alternatively, you can fine-tune the expiration by manually changing the cookie: Dim authCookie As HttpCookie = FormsAuthentication.GetAuthCookie(userName) Dim authTicket As FormsAuthenticationTicket = FormsAuthentication.Decrypt(authCookie.Value) Dim newAuthTicket As New FormsAuthenticationTicket(authTicket.Version, authTicket.Name, authTicket.IssueDate, expireDa

Selenium is a browser automation tool. It can only drive the browser by interacting with an HTML page loaded in the browser. There are currently no plugins (and as far as I'm aware nobody has any plans to make any) that you can add to Selenium to enable it to automate the OS level GUI.
