How to fix the width and height of div and make the content inside div resize to div's width and height?
The content of the iframe is generally unaware of it's "parent" container, thus the sizing of it's contents aren't guaranteed. If you want your iframe's content to be resized...this can only be accomplished through javascript if it's in the same domain. Or if its a different domain, the url would require parameters/logic and resize the content through javascript based on those parameters.

Get image width height javascript
Put your code in window.onload = function() { //insert code here } Your js file is executed before the engine reach the picture..You're getting the following console error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'width' of null It's also a good practice to put all scripts files in the end of the page and all css files in the begin. It will increase the loading time of your page, because if JS files are in the begin, your browser won't start to render until these files are downloaded. your code should look like: window.onload = function() { var img = document.getElementById('my_image'); // Original var width, height; // Display var d_width = img.width; var d_height = img.height; var updateDetail = function() { document .getElementById('display_size') .in

Setting width and height as a percentage in JavaScript
If the container of the element have sizing specified already, then you can simply use percentages in CSS. For instance: .#my-el { width: 70%; height: 70%; } <div id="my-el"></div> However, if you have to use JavaScript for some reason, you could do something like: el.style.width = Math.round(document.documentElement.clientWidth * .70) + 'px'; You may have to use a more complex approach to determine the viewport size for cross-browser support however, but this question was already answered.
