CSS alternatives to first line text-indent?
You could use pseudo elements to mimic the effect of text-indent p:before { content: '0A0 0A0 0A0 0A0 0A0 0A0 0A0'; dispay:inline-block; } FIDDLE EDIT: (As per the questioner's comments below) If the above CSS solution(s) don't work for you, then maybe instead of using css you could just append a fixed number of non-breaking spaces after each paragraph element. Like so <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; ... FIDDLE You could do this simply by copy/replace: <p> -> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; ...

Combo in columnheader with swt
You could create your own column headers in a Composite above the table using normal controls. You will then need to adjust the size of these controls to match the table column sizes. One way to do this is to use a table layout class extending the jface TableColumnLayout and overriding the setColumnWidths method which is called each time the column sizes change, so you can adjust your header control widths. Note: TableColumnLayout needs to be on a Composite containing just the Table rather than directly on the Table. So something like this for the layout: /** * Table column layout extended to manage a separate table header. */ public class TableColumnLayoutWithSeparateHeader extends TableColumnLayout { /** Header composite */ private final Composite _headerComposite; /** Right

Load specific data from text and put into datagridview
Here's a way that uses the existing format. This uses a datatable to contain the data then it's used as the datasource for the datagridview It searches for the correct line, then splits the line by the closing parenthesis ), then extracts the data by splitting each piece by the space. Imports System.IO Public Class Form1 Dim dt As New DataTable Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Dim sr As New StreamReader("InitItem.txt") Dim DataString As String = "" Dim ImageIndex As Integer = 2 dt.Columns.AddRange({New DataColumn("Name"), New DataColumn("Index"), New DataColumn("Image")}) While Not sr.EndOfStream DataString = sr.ReadLine If DataString.Contains("(item") Then

Text file format is not correct when exporting to .txt from datagridview.
The problem lies in your code to write the lines using " " to attempt to align the columns. The correct way to do this would be to using padding in place of tabs. Tabs will cause things to shift unexpected depending on the length of data whereas the padding will account for that and scale accordingly. Check out this similar SO post that explains a bit about padding: Pad left or right with string.format or this MSDN link: Padding in C#

how to nicely indent when the is incorrect.
System.out.println()'s tab behavior depends on the underlying OS. If you want to have more control (especially if your OS does not offer any of it), you better replace them with spaces inside the Java program according to some algorightm (fixed spaced tabs, or variably spaced tabs). Another alternative is that you keep tabs as they are in the output, but redirecting it to a file. Then open the file whith a tool that does allow control on tab size. This depends on OS, of course.

indent in html description
First, let's give it a class. <p class="indent">detail about title</p> Afterwards, we'll use CSS to set a margin to the left of the text. .indent { margin-left: 20px; } That should give you an indent. Adjust accordingly :) Note that by using a paragraph element, there's no need for a line break anymore.

bind 'indent-to-column' to C-tab

You can check this using the following key sequence to see what C-TAB is bound to: C-hkC-TAB If you want to provide the argument as well, you can use this kind of construct: (global-set-key (kbd "<C-tab>") (lambda () (interactive) (indent-to-column 100)))

Why doesn't '2>' mean indent 2 levels on vim?
2>> The behavior you describe is due to how {count} works with line-wise commands: it doesn't perform the command {count} times but considers {count} as the number of lines on which to act. You can get a glimpse at how Vim does its thing by doing 2:, this is what you should get in the command-line: :.,.+1 Doing 2>> is thus the equivalent of: :.,.+1> "Indent this line and the one below by one level". In normal mode, just hit >> to indent the current line by one level and repeat until you are at the right level. How to indent HTML tag content
Well the paragraph tag removes leading white spaces and ignores enter breaks. One way to achieve what you want would be to use the Preformatted tag <pre> which returns the result identical to it's base text (with spaces, breaks etc). Another way would be to try styling it with CSS (width, text-indent, etc) in the way it's best representative to the user.
