Look up information in onetable to populate values in a form bounded to another table
Assuming the Employee information is available within the current database, perhaps in a linked (Excel), table there are a number of ways to approach this, one of which is: Create a form based on the Employees table, showing the fields that you are interested in auto-populating Delete the RecordSource of the form Delete the ControlSource for each of the controls on the form. You need to do this otherwise they will all initially display with the error #Name? Set the Locked or Enabled property of these controls to Yes or No respectively, so that the information they will display will not be editable Add a, for example, Combo Box to the form; you can accept the third option in the Controls Wizard to help you populate this. You need the EmployeedID as the first column, but can add additional

How do I use BeanUtils.populate to populate a bean from a form which has a checkbox
Just a guess - the value of your flag is "Enabled", try something like "true", "on" or "1". Or do you have mapping code that maps "Enabled" to true? Also, there seems to be a problem when the checkbox is unchecked, as in that case, nothing is sent to the server - there seems to be a common solution in using Javascript to set a hidden field to a value "on" or "off" and considering the hidden field only, and ignoring the checkbox itself. See here for further reference: http://books.google.de/books?id=KNjkjBDEKssC&lpg=PT107&ots=9wZRkd_Y48&pg=PT107#v=onepage&q&f=false

Populate formset with information from db
I think it's better use normal function based views (FBV) for this. Understand what's going on first and then gradually move to CBV if you really need to. This will help you with FBV: http://catherinetenajeros.blogspot.com/2013/03/inline-formset-saving-and-updating-two.html This may help you with CBV: django class-based views with inline model-form or formset

Form interceptor, populate a form field without touching the original application
You can add this line in view after form module import and before creating form instance (not using middleware): from app.forms import AppForm AppForm.base_fields['fieldname'].initial="your default value" Middleware may looks like: class InitialValues(object): def process_request(self, request): from app.forms import AppForm AppForm.base_fields['fieldname'].initial="your default value" It executes before view. You cant insert middleware into template rendering, only before and after view.

How do I preserve the information keyed in by the user in Django form fields when the submission fails validation while using a CSS customized form?
You can use {{form.name.value}}, and it will repopulate the value entered for a particular field when an invalid form is redisplayed. <input class="box" type="text" name="name" id="id_name" maxlength="100" value="{{form.name.value}}"/>

Passing information from form to form in MS Access
I would do it in VBA. Run the Append query via code, and then open that table and do a MoveLast. You can grab the ID of the last record that matches your student. You can't get the ID of a record until the record is written, so I think that's the only way to do it.

I am trying to save data from a form app to a cookie using PHP
I assume the game logic is in Javascript? You can set cookies from javascript, you can also use localstore which would be a better option for large data.

Store several form values in one cookie
You can concatenate the values. Be sure to use a separation format that allows you to retrieve the values later: setCookie( 'fieldname', form.field1.value + ',' + form.field2.value + ','... );

Populate datagridview without locking form
One way to accomplish this is to use [Windows.Forms.Application]::DoEvents(). You don't need to call it every time through the loop. Say every 5000 iterations or you could base it on time. Perhaps after 250 millisecs have elapsed since the last call to DoEvents: $button1_Click = { for ($i = 0; $i -lt 100000; $i++) { $datagridview1.Rows.Add($i.ToString()) if ($i % 5000 -eq 0) { [Windows.Forms.Application]::DoEvents() } } }

Auto-populate form via URL, then submit?
Luckily this is impossible (on Pocket and most sites) due to cross site forgery request protection to prevent exactly what you are trying to do. A token is set in the form and together with session information for the user on pocket (or any other site that uses csfr token protection) it will need to form some sort of secret hash. When the 'save' form is submitted the combination of these strings will be checked and normally new strings will be set. Because there is (practically) no chance that you will be able to predict the token form the form itself and have no real way of manipulating the session hash, you are out of luck. And we are all very happy for that :). Otherwise you could make links on other sites that would delete your whole database when you happen to click on them, etc.

Populate Field With New DataEntry Form in Access VBA
Well that was a short lived question. By messing around I found that when you use Dirty instead of Load it works. Private Sub Form_Dirty(Cancel As Integer) Me.Submitter = CreateObject("WScript.Network").UserName Debug.Print Me.Submitter End Sub I even put the Debug.Print in there to make sure it wasn't constantly looking to repopulate that field with each keystroke or changing of fields, and it does not. As soon as I open the form and start entering data, that first keystroke populates my username and it's done until the next record.

auto-populate another form using a link, it is posibble?
The short answer is no. The browser won't automatically detect the URL parameter and pre-populate any form fields. A back-end PHP / ASP.NET page can read the value from the request and generate the HTML fields with the specified values. Alternatively, the page could use JavaScript to set the field values when the document finishes loading. But all of this depends on changes to the target web page. If you do not have the ability to modify that page, I'm afraid there's very little you could do. You might be able to duplicate the form on your own page, and send the form data to the target—effectively bypassing the form on the other page and 'faking' your own, but if the target system does some kind of validation to prevent posting forms across domain names, this probably won't work

Populate Form on new page from GridView Select
If I understand your question correctly, you want to go from a main page with a list of data to a details page with data (perhaps expanded) for a selected row from that GridView. To do that, you can set up your details page to read the data's key (id) from QueryString, then query your DAL for the full details and display them. On your main page, you'd hook up to the GridView's OnSelectedIndexChanged, get the DataKey from the event args, then do a Response.Redirect to your details page, passing in the row ID in the QueryString. To get the data from the GridView, make sure in the ASPX you have set GridView's DataKeyNames property to the key of your Customer class. Then handle the OnSelectedIndexChanged event, and in the code-behind you'll have access to your GridView's SelectedIndex. Yo

Populate admin form from a text field in Django
You can't do it directly in Django without leaving the page, or at least submitting and redisplaying it. You could use Javascript to parse the contexts of the text box and assign them to your admin input fields, if you're being strict about not submitting the form. That said, I would do this by defining the form for my admin class, then specializing the save_model method. Something like this: class PublicationAdminForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = Publication bibtex_entry = forms.CharField(widget=forms.Textarea) class PublicationAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): form = PublicationAdminForm def save_model(self, request, obj, form, change): bibtex = form.cleaned_data['bibtex_entry'] values = parse_bibtex(bibtex) obj.author = values['

Populate jquery select drop down form with multiple lists
If I'm understanding this correctly it looks like you need relational data. Rather than the list use a document. e.g. { "type":"Short Sleeve T-Shirts", "subtypes":[ "100% Cotton", "100% Polyester/Athletic", "Blended" ], "colors":[ "Blue", "Black", "Red" ] } or if the information is nested { "type": "Short Sleeve T-Shirts", "subtypes": [ { "name":"100% Cotton", "colors":[ "Blue", "Black", "Red" ] }, { "name":"100% Polyester/Athletic", "colors":[ "Purple", "Green", "Orange" ] } ] } I don't know if you're limitations are using jquery but that's going to turn into a headache. Have you considered using an MV* framework like angular?
