code doesn't work on Actual server
It is really difficult to debug in PHP. Only few tricks and tools can be used in debugging. To solve this type of problem, when you get blank window without any error indication, it is good to use a error reporting tool of PHP. To enable the error reporting add the following line of code in your webpage error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('display_errors',true);

Checking server availability doesn't work
You can try to locate the server using its host name. The advantage: unlike the dynamic ip address, the host name probably has a longer validity. In the following example, both network interfaces can refer to the same host. byte[] b = { 10, 0, 0, 1 }; String name = "Hostname"; InetAddress ia = Inet4Address.getByAddress(b); InetAddress ia2 = Inet4Address.getByName(name); Another possible solution: before using network operations on android, you must get the corresponding permissions from the android manifest. I don't know exactly, which of the following are must-haves: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.NETWORK_STATE" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STAT

CodeIgniter Flashdata doesn't work on server
It doesn't. Something strange is going on with your server. Check that that a database connection is being made if you're using database sessions. Check that what you're redirecting to is actually the same server. Check that you're using flashdata correctly. (Post code?) Check that session variables are working at all. Update: // Again, be sure that 'session' is autoloaded in config.php class Test_Controller { public function page1() { $this->session->set_flashdata('test', 'HELLO WORLD'); redirect('test/page2'); } public function page2() { echo $this->session->flashdata('test'); } } Add this controller and visit http://yourserver.com/index.php/test/page1 It should redirect to page2 and display 'HELLO WORLD'. If it does,

Database Mirroring doesn't work (SQL Server 2008)
Run this on your principal db SELECT DB_NAME(database_id) AS 'DatabaseName' , mirroring_role_desc , mirroring_safety_level_desc , mirroring_state_desc , mirroring_partner_instance FROM sys.database_mirroring WHERE mirroring_guid IS NOT NULL; The value returned in mirroring_partner_instance is the server name that will be used by your connection for failover, not DBS2. DBS2 will be used when it first tries to get a connection but cannot contact DBS1. If DBS1 is available the failover partner will be set in cache from the sql server value mirroring_partner_instance. I imagine your PC can see this server using the name in mirroring_partner_instance, where as when running in the DMZ it cannot. See here for more info: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/spike/archive/2010/12/15/running-a-database-

I am not surprised. You should be using parameters rather than concatenated SQL. But it seems that your whole procedure needs to be re-written since you are using dynamic SQL. Have a read here, it'll help you out.

Session data working on local test server, but doesn't work once uploaded to internet
session_status was introduced in PHP 5.4. Check your server's PHP version. You could do without that call by the way, I'd say. Just always call session_start. If your code is riddled with it, just create a function stub.

Why doesn't validating my SMTP server domain name and port work when running as a service under the local system account?
Have you tried running it from a console app vs. service at the same time? Also, could you test both approaches by making a series of requests to gather some statistics? The point is that it could help isolate the issue from different factors other than different OS users like various network issues etc. Feel free to give new details after doing that, if you'll be able to find out something new or intresting.

hashlib md5 doesn't actually turn into md5?
6adf97f83acf6453d4a6a4b1070f3754 is actually md5 value of "None", so maybe you get something wrong elsewhere. Let's say you didn't actually get the passw from request.forms, and parse the None to str(), then gives it to md5().hexdigest(), you'll just get the result.

Why doesn't my resizer bar turn green?
The cause of the problem is very simple: myLayoutInner = $('#inner').layout({ applyDefaultStyles: true, // this line should be omitted ... }); This line causes default color of separator (gray) override green and orange colors on hover. Hope this helps. Here is a working example: http://jsfiddle.net/xUvJk/1/. With kind regards, Michael.

DevicePolicyManager.lockNow(); doesn't turn off screen when security settings are set to Slide/None
To begin with see here: To control this policy, the device admin must have a "force-lock" tag in the "uses-policies" section of its meta-data. The calling device admin must have requested USES_POLICY_FORCE_LOCK to be able to call this method; if it has not, a security exception will be thrown. Depending from the code you got, here's a pretty nice explanation of what can be wrong in your case (of course any code provided here will be of use!). I've heard on several occasions, that calling twice the code DevicePolicyManager.lockNow() will do the trick and here's one way of doing that: mDPM = (DevicePolicyManager)getApplicationContext().getSystemService("device_policy"); Handler handlerUI = new Handler(); handlerUI.postDelayed(new Runnable() { @Override

onLocationChanged doesn't invoked when the wifi is turn off in settings but cell network is available
I'm having the same problem, and after a couple of hours spent looking for an explanation, it seems that onLocationChanged isn't fired because the current location is the same as the previous one. Indeed, with cell network, the accuracy is worse. I suggest you to use LocationManager#getLastKnownLocation Here is a more detailed comment Please let me know if you've found another solution.

How can I turn 10 similar event methods into a single one to work for said 10 events?
Quickest fix I can think of: Use the sender parameter, and put integer into Tag property of each caption: //... caption1.Tag = 0; caption2.Tag = 1; //... you can do it in the designer when creating the TextBoxes (Tag property in the properties of the control) or if the captions are somehow generated in the code, then it should be easy to assign their Tags automatically Then: private void caption_Validated(object sender, EventArgs e) { TextBox textBox = sender as TextBox; captions[(int)textBox.Tag] = disallowChar(textBox.Text); textBox.Text = captions[(int)textBox.Tag]; } But anyway, I'm not sure why do you need captions dictionary - seems redundant, as all the captions are stored in Text property of each TextBox.

Make a templated structure to turn a pointer with any count of * to work as a &
But I don't want any runtime recurrent function calls Tough shit. You can define the type int& from int**** relatively easily with TMP, but you cannot access it without using recursion, because the type of each intermediate stage is different and you don't know how many intermediate stages there are. You have to use recursion to de-reference the pointer.

icon of wamp server do not turn to green
This can be caused by a lot of different things, here are a few checks. Make sure apache2 configuration is valid (ie apache can read it properly) (Obvious) Make sure port 80 is open and not being used by another program such as skype, apache provides a small command line program to check this. Click on the menu and navigate to the apache folder and there should be a menu item saying something along the lines of Test Port 80. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't know why you have loads of dashes on nearly every line? This will surely cause an error. Wish I could be of more help but I'm running linux at the moment and don't use wamp server anymore. If you get really stuck reinstall wamp (backup databases etc first) and follow a tutorial online that works to get a working configuration. S

Apache Server can't turn off (EnterpriseDB Installation with Stack Builder)
To restart EnterpriseDB Apache, I did sudo /Library/PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB-ApachePHP/apache/bin/apachectl graceful Explanation: On my machine this exact problem was because the apachectl was still default Mac OS X. This can be verified by doing which apachectl To which I got the response: /usr/sbin/apachectl This is the default apache in Mac OS X, not the Enterprise DB one. I did not want to mess with system paths so I left this one alone. You can also create aliases to if you bounce apache often.

main program work good , but when put it into a function doesn't work pyQt
You aren't seeing any windows in the class based version because the function calls finalise and your PyQt objects are being garbage collected. In the simple first case you have, the variables containing your PyQt objects remain in scope for the duration. In this simple case, the easiest way to see this in action is store your PyQt objects in instance variables, ie. self.Frame and self.MainWindow to retain references to the object so that Python doesn't garbage collect them. Generally you would not work with PyQt in this fashion. You subclass the relevant object and do setup in the initialiser.

Why shellcodes with jmp instruction work, and why doesn't the labels work inside a C wrapper?
The address of mesg can vary depending on how your program is laid out in memory. The following will hard-code a specific address and will not work reliably (or at all): mov ecx, mesg For reference, the first approach hard-codes the following address: mov ecx, 0x804807d The second approach does work because it figures out the address of mesg at runtime, using the return address of a call instruction. Put another way, the first version only works if loaded at a specific address whereas the second is position-independent. It is worth noting that the jmp and the call instructions that appear in the second version use relative addressing, meaning that the opcodes specify the distance to the target rather than the address of the target. This makes these instructions work regard

.htaccess redirect doesn't work on first load, but does work on refresh
Your rule is fine. It redirects for me in every browser. What's probably happening is that when you click on the link, your browser brings up a cached copy of the PDF. But when you explicitly reload the page, it sends the request to the server instead of pulling up a cached copy of the page and you see the redirect. If you want to test it again, clear your chrome cache and hit the link again.

Same url, work like reference to style, but doesn't work like AJAX call
The simplest answer will be to use a local web server like WAMP(or IIS) if you are not already. the second answer is Chrome and Safari has a restriction on using ajax with local resources. That's why it's throwing an error like Origin null is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. Solution: Use firefox or upload your data to a temporary server. If you still want to use Chrome, start it with the below option; --allow-file-access-from-files More info how to add the above parameter to your Chrome: Right click the Chrome icon on your task bar, right click the Google Chrome on the pop-up window and click properties and add the above parameter inside the Target textbox under Shortcut tab. It will like as below; C:UsersXXX_USERAppDataLocalGoogleChromeApplicationchrome.exe --al

Why doesn't a DOM2"click" event work, when it does work for "mouseover"?
As far as i can tell the link <a id="workID" href="#">WORK</a> is not bound to a click event handler. In the screenshot you can see that you have set several events, but on click is not set. In your main.js you are calling the function showWorkPane() but in this function you define no event handler for onClick: function showWorkPane() { var workID = document.getElementById("workID"); workID.addEventListener("mouseover", showWorkPaneHandler, false); // add an event handler for click } To address your question: Why doesn't a DOM2“click” event work, when it does work for “mouseover”? Well you have to bind both events (click and mouseover). And currently i am looking into your code and it looks like that the eventhandler onmouseout which fires hideWorkP

Tween Multiple object turn by turn in tweenlite
Usually I'd do it like this: for (var i:int = 0; i < 5; i++) { TweenLite.to(object, duration, {delay: duration * i}); } It will create all the Tweens at once, but they won't really effect your performance since only the active tweens are really noticeable. I did that with over 200 objects and had no lag at all.You might however want to pool the TweenLite object on mobile platforms, but again - you probably won't see the difference up to 800+ objects.

Android app: how to turn off listener and turn it back on again?

Why doesn't CGContextShowGlyphsAtPositions() work, when CGContextShowGlyphsAtPoint() does work?
One possibility is this, from the CGContextShowGlyphsAtPositions document: The position of each glyph is specified in text space, and, as a consequence, is transformed through the text matrix to user space. The text matrix is a separate property of the context, distinct from the graphics state's current transformation matrix. It doesn't say that about CGContextShowGlyphsAtPoint: This function displays an array of glyphs at the specified position in the user space. (Emphasis added to both quotes.) So, your text matrix is not actually used when you show glyphs from a single point. But then, when you show glyphs at an array of positions, it is used, and you see the symptom of a wrong matrix. Specifically, your matrix to try to flip the text back the other way is wrong: it flips

Can microtime work differently between a unix server and a windows wamp server
My guess what is happening is that on windows machine you are are overflowing the maximum value that can be represented as a integer. Check the value of PHP_INT_MAX on both environments (echo PHP_INT_MAX;) The problem has probably less to do with windows vs linux and more to do with 32bit vs 64bit.
