Windows Phone Emulator with PC Keyboard on Apple Mac
This one is pretty mysterious for some reason. Different people are getting this to work in different ways. For what it's worth, for me pressing fn-page down enables the keyboard in the emulator. I am using a Surface Pro, Windows 8, and a full size, wired, Macintosh keyboard. I also know some people have had success with fn-esc, which just closes the onscreen keyboard for me.

invoking keyboard shortcut from Windows 8 desktop using perl script
Have you looked into AutoIt? You will find tons of information on how to do stuff like that in the AutoIt community. Then, go back to perl and look for a SendKeys API in the windows stuff. It's been 15 years since I last had ActivePerl installed, but if I remember correctly, there was a bunch of windows libraries there you could use. If you don't have libraries like that, then you will need to figure out how to tap into the windows API directly. This should not be too difficult. Look for SendKeys API. And you might want to find the hwnd of the Desktop. (There. A bunch of pointers, sorry about not having a solution, but these hints will get you there!) So I found this module: Win32::GuiTest and it seems it could be as easy as this: Win32::GuiTest::SendKeys("^{ESCAPE"); Win32::GuiTest::

Can I make Visual Studio recognize more than just two shortcut key sequences for a keyboard shortcut binding?
As far as i know are only maximum 2 sequences allowed in Visual Studio 2012. You can check that when you open the Options in Visual Studio and open the Keyboard Settings. I have checked that by using Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, but i´m not allowed to add more.

Keyboard shortcut not working
Since you're using jQuery, you can use the altkey property on the event. $(document).on('keydown', function(e){ var key = e.which || e.keyCode; if(e.altKey === true && key === 86){ console.log("Alt+v"); } }); See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/event.altKey for more about that and other key events.

For 4.x, use editor.setKeystroke: CKEDITOR.plugins.add( 'foo', { init: function( editor ) { editor.setKeystroke( CKEDITOR.CTRL + 81, 'bold' ); // CTRL+Q } } ); For 3.x: CKEDITOR.plugins.add( 'foo', { init: function( editor ) { editor.on( 'instanceReady', function( evt ) { evt.removeListener(); this.keystrokeHandler.keystrokes[ CKEDITOR.CTRL + 81 ] = 'bold'; // CTRL+Q } ); } } );

How can i generate a localized keyboard shortcut in C# / WPF?
I had the same problem myself and checked the WPF source code. Sadly, strings like "Ctrl" are in fact hardcoded. So my idea was to simply use the WindowsForms classes for displaying shortcut strings. You can do this with the following code (you could use this for a derived RoutedCommand class that automatically replaces all shortcut keys with a new display string): private void LocalizeShortcuts() { foreach (KeyGesture keyGuesture in this.InputGestures.OfType<KeyGesture>().ToArray()) { this.InputGestures.Remove(keyGuesture); System.Windows.Forms.Keys formsKey = (Keys)KeyInterop.VirtualKeyFromKey(keyGuesture.Key); if ((keyGuesture.Modifiers & ModifierKeys.Alt) == ModifierKeys.Alt) { formsKey |= Keys.Alt; } if

Keyboard shortcut ctrl+r not working for me
Based on some quick testing at http://api.jquery.com/event.which/, it seems you want event.which == 82, not event.which == 9. Although most browsers tend to use Ctrl + R to refresh the page, so this might not be the best way to handle whatever you're doing.

Opening a new form via a keyboard shortcut
You first need to subscribe to your form2 KeyDown event,then you need to check for the keys that where pressed: private void Form1_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) { if (e.Alt && e.KeyCode == Keys.D1)//here you can choose any key you want { Form3 f3 = new Form3(); f3.ShowDialog(); } } Hope this helps.

In Sublime Text, Gedit or any Other editor, how to select and replace everything inside Tags?
If you don't mind regexes, the regex that matches the opening is /[caption[^]]*]/ http://rubular.com/r/eRRxYIsVCG remember to specify case insensitivity if you're going to have caption and CAPTION, etc. if you just want to do this on the command line you can use sed(1) sed 's/[caption[^]]*]/<div class=\"sss\">/g' file.html which sends it to stdin, which you can pipe to whatever file you want. if you want to modify the file in-place you can add the -i switch to sed.

Indenting multiple lines: Keyboard shortcut
Select all, then do CTRL + I. The advantage of this method over selecting some lines, then pressing TAB, is that it is much faster to do CTRL+A then CTRL+I, than tabbing lines at a time. I do automatic indenting all the time, it's basically in my reflex. Like saving. A quick googling would have helped you faster.

Is there a keyboard shortcut in Eclipse for "open declaration in layout"?
If you CTRL + Shift + r : you can open any resource. Using this with any text selected will pre-populate the open resource dialog with the text you selected. After that you should be able to find the file you want very quickly and double click it to open (or use down arrow and enter for openting without using a mouse). Hope this helps.

Is there a keyboard shortcut in Insert mode to tell vim that I don't want to be inside a comment any more?
Since Vim cannot guess your thoughts (yet), you have to tell it explicitly when a new line does not continue a multi-line comment. A straightforward solution is to simply delete the autoinserted comment leader with CtrlU in insert mode. See :h i_CTRL-U. This key combo also works in most terminals, by the way. In case you don't like autoinserted comment leaders at all, you can disable them with the command :set fo-=ro. See :h 'formatoptions'.

There is also a feature request to make it easier, feel free to vote.

What's the keyboard shortcut to move between source code and debugger in RubyMine?
By default, the debug tool window is mapped to Alt+5 (⌘5). So typing that will give the debug too window focus. To return to the editor from any tool window, type Esc. You can also type Alt+5 a second time, but that will close the debug tool window and take you to the editor. You can modify the key map for a tool window in File > Settings > [IDE Settings> Keymap > Main Menu > View > Tool Windows

Eclipse stopped recognizing my Kinesis keyboard shortcut buttons(copy, paste, etc)?
There are two ways to solve it: switch workspace, or "Restore Defaults" in the Preferences -> Keys menu You can also switched workspace , that's what i did first, and everything worked fine again( i guess bec. I didn't fiddle with keys & shortcuts). File->Switch Workspace Apparently, based on this SO link - really weird eclipse keyboard behavior/bug? - it may be a configuration issue that is workspace-dependent(maybe a custom keyboard shortcut I added-on ??!?). I'm still curious about a way to narrow down why, but it looks like a clash of the key-bindings. Here's another link, Switching workspaces

Excel VBA: the keyboard shortcut I assigned on a Macro make my code hang after opening a document
Apparently, after multiples google search about that particular problems, it seems that Application.Workbooks.Open(yourPath) mixed with the Shift keyboard key in your shortcut is the problem. More precisely from this guy if you look at the last answer: The shift key makes a vb script stop at any Open statement. So you have two solutions Remove the Shift key from your shortcut and choose another one Instead of using .Open, you could use .Add which will do the same job, but the code won't hang. So if you do Application.Workbooks.Add(yourPath) it should behave properly. It is funny though, that both Open and Add have the exact same behavior when you look at the screen while running the Macro. Edit: I couldn't find any official link referring to that bug.

Eclipse ALT shortcut of Windows on Mac
Unfortunately, this functionality does not exist in OS X. However, you may find it useful to access the menus (outside the create new... dialog) using ctrl + F2 (or ctrl + fn + F2 if the function buttons are used for volume etc). Eg. to access File > Open File ... you could do: ctrl + F2, F, arrow down, O, enter This is not as quick as in Windows, but it can be a workaround.

Building Objective-C environment on Windows through Sublime Text
Have a look at the documentation on build systems, making sure to follow the link at the bottom to the Build System Reference for starters. Build System Variables will help you construct your command so you can name your executable the same as your source, if you wish. For example, you can use something like the following to start (I'll leave it up to you to fill in the rest): { "cmd": ["gcc", "$file", "-o", "${file/.m/.exe/}", "etc. etc. etc."] }

This would probably be obvious to anyone who didn't manage to be a dope and miss the list of Build System Variable way down the page until after they'd accidentally stumbled upon the right answer. xD

getting correct window style as configured by windows shortcut
Just made a quick test and it does work out-of-the-box only if your main form is set to start as Normal window state. If you choose Minimized or Maximized it will override the shortcut settings. In case your main form is set as Normal you can detect the actual state using such code: FormWindowState actualState = Application.OpenForms["Form1"].WindowState; if (actualState != FormWindowState.Normal) { //probably launched via shortcut overriding the state, handle. }
