Why when launching Chrome and loading html file to chrome it's taking so much time to load it?
I think that is because the page you are trying to load has its html part in other file and other elements belonging to same page are in a folder, not to mention designer webpages and sites have hundreds and thousands of elements in them. From elements i mean separate stylesheets, separate script files, graphics such as images including site banner and others etc.Assigning hundreds of elements to correct places obviously takes some time. My opinion would be to first change the following setting in Chrome(To change them type 'chrome://flags' (without quotes) and press Enter button this will bring you to internal settings page of Chrome).Once you have settings page opened locate following setting Save Page as MHTML and Enable it,then try to download the page again. Then use this co

How can I upload multiple photos in one post on Google+ from G+ Android SDK?
It should work with addStream() method, unfortunately... it doesn't work. Indeed it makes the application crash. After a long search, I finally got it: it's not possible if using the simplified G+ SDK! (the one dedicated to Android). There is a second one, included in the Google API family that you can find there: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-java-client/wiki/APIs#Google+_API This one will let you build more advanced post, included, several pic one. Unfortunately the second SDK is much more low level, not dedicated to Android, it's a kind of Java abstraction over http request. Regards

Android: how create xml file that contains the list of albums and photos from gallery
I would suggest you to get some basic java experience as these problems are really common in the programming world and has almost nothing to do with Android. Anyway you should make a List that holds Album objects (model) and an Album object should contain a List that holds Photo objects (model). Then you can loop though the list by getting the number of photos/albums with the List.size() method. Good luck.

What are differences between Chrome on Android and Desktop Chrome?
Main difference is that Android don't have Flash because of the HTML5 implementation, and also there's a lot of different screen sizes and users don't like to zoom in and out a pan and zoom again, so the best you can do is to create a web designed for mobile devices. On the other hand, if your site is mainly HTML and Javascript, will work 100% on mobile Chrome. I have a HTML5 game and works equal in desktop and mobile. Also, you can download the Android SDK and test your site in a bunch of different Android versions and screen sizes with the AVD, is like an official Android emulator.

Instead use like this addeditUser = function () { jQuery('#popup').load("form.html", showDialog); alert(jQuery('#popup').text()); } or Wrap it in head Check JSFiddle

"Failed to load resource" regarding .ogg files on Chrome
This is likely related to this known/reported Chromium issue, which is still outstanding as of now (and also affecting a project I'm working on): https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=158245 It can be a difficult bug to reproduce, but appears to be related to the way Chrome 'responsibly' uses bandwidth and does not buffer the entire file immediately, but inches it along as it needs it. The workaround for us has been to use a Flash fallback for playing audio (we're using SoundManager2), which will bypass the HTML5 Audio player in Chrome. The Flash player will load the entire audio file before starting playback, which is not awesome, but fixes this issue.

Multiple JS files in Chrome Extension - how to load them?
You could attempt to use web workers, perhaps. In your background.js, include: var worker = new Worker('new-script.js'); Web workers can spawn new workers, and even have an importScript("new-script.js") method. Web workers can tend to be very limited, however. Check here for a great article on Web workers. I don't know if they would work, however. The other option is using XMLHTTPRequest (AJAX) to dynamically retrieve the script, and eval it. Over a non-HTTPS connection however, this is probably blocked due to man-in-the-middle attacks. Alternatively, you can force Chrome to eval script from a non-encrypted connection (BUT DON'T DO IT) by adding this to manifest.json: "content_security_policy": "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval'; object-src 'self'", "permissions": ["http://badpractic.e

Why content.js load twice or more when in facebook.com with chrome extension?
I'm not sure if Facebook uses frames, but if it does it is possible that there are four frames that are executing your code once each. Chrome console doesn't give any visual indication that this is what is happening. Try setting all_frames to false so that it only executes on the top frame.

Can't load video for iphone Safari/Chrome
First of, you need to insert the video element into the DOM before issuing a play. And before playing you must issue a load. $('#VideoPlaceHolder').click(function() { var videoElement = document.createElement('video'); videoElement.src = 'Video.mp4'; // Inserts video element as a child to the DIV being clicked. $(this).append(videoElement); // Issue a load, and then play. videoElement.load(); videoElement.play(); }); It might be good to know that on most mobile browsers autostart is disabled and the load must be issued after a user click. This is to prevent a browser from starting to download a huge video while the viewer might be on an expensive connection (e.g. data-roaming while on vacation). Hopefully, this helps.

Driving chrome to measure page load time
""Chrome doesn't technically allow you to access the local file system, but you might be able to do it with this: https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/npapi.html. Another approach is to send the data to another web location via an API. The Google Drive API comes to mind: https://developers.google.com/drive. You may already be aware that analyzation of the pages can be done via a content script. Simply inject the JavaScript code or libraries you need into pages the user opens, via the manifest file, something like this: "content_scripts": [ { "matches" : [ "<all_urls>" ], "js" : [ "some_content_script.js" ] } ], You'll also need to add "all_urls" to the permissions section of the manifest file. The load time cal

Google Chrome won't allow IFRAME to load an HTML file
I tested it and it works OK in chrome on my end. My guess is that you have it set up so the page containing the iframe is being accessed via https. If the page is https, you cannot load a iframe on that page that is not https. It will result in a "mixed-content error" and for security purposes it will not load. It works in FF because FF is more lax about this security restriction and Chrome happens to be more strict on mixed-content errors.

Chrome running on a vm fedora wont load meteor project
YES! It comes and goes with time or development, and you will get different results in different browsers (ubuntu). I currently am getting Uncaught ReferenceError: Package is not defined meteor.js:21 Uncaught ReferenceError: Package is not defined standard-app-packages.js:21 Uncaught ReferenceError: Package is not defined random.js:21 etc A few weeks ago, chrome canary was bad but release chrome not. It may be some subtle code issue triggers things because as I developed madly but checked intermittently that problem came and went maybe three times, and once another browser gave me a clue on something it didn't like, which also cured chrome. I don't have any tools/concepts to debug this further. I initially got through Discover Meteor using chrome about 2 months ago.

I use this tool: http://www.webpagetest.org/ But it's for live sites. facebook app does not load in google chrome. Loads in all browsers ie until the works
I had this code and it didn't work (only for fans) in Chrome either. For non fans it displayed the image correctly. I just changed my redirects to a HTTPS and it has worked! :) It looks like Chrome has issues with redirects to http. Just add an "s" to all of your links and it should work. Be aware of hidden redirects, if you have a parameter URL or something like that, there you need to add the "s" twice: at the beginning (https://www.myweb.com/r.php?) and in the middle (&url=https%3A//www.myweb.es) hope it helps! An example: <?php require 'facebook.php'; $app_id = "384609344916003"; $app_secret = "f615dfb4c787d05d5f1a2fbefd11cadc"; $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => $app_id, 'secret' => $app_secret, 'cookie' => true )); $signed_requ

Google Chrome load image from cache slower than download
Not super useful, but my solution to this issue was to encode the images as data URI's. Duplicating the images (as I was doing) or pulling from the cache is about 10-50ms then. If you're loading your images through AJAX you'll have to watch out for CORS concerns then, but if you're loading them server side you'll just need to figure out if you can inline them without making your page load take too long.

How to dynamically load large JSON files in a Chrome extension
You need to add your JSON filename to the manifest: http://developer.chrome.com/extensions/manifest.html#web_accessible_resources This way you can access the JSON file inside the extension from any content script. You can also load the file in the background page (it is better), and send a message from the content script to the background page to fetch specific data from the JSON. This is better, because your load the JSON once, for all your tabs.

How to avoid infinite loop when trying to load a 404-Not-Found favicon in Chrome?
Chrome and other browsers automatically request the favicon, but they don't enter an infinite loop when they get a 404 (which happens on a lot of sites, so that would be a gigantic problem). The link you posted says that Chrome on Android may request the apple-touch-icon files as well, but that's okay. The HTTP 404 response you've pasted into your question looks totally fine. Your 302 redirect also looks fine. So I suspect the problem you're experiencing is something else, not related to the favicon.
