Adding PostgreSQL installer to my own application installer
Personally I don't like programs that silently install the standard PostgreSQL for Windows. It's deeply annoying to get mailing list posts from people who're asking "What's this PostgreSQL thing and why is it using 88 bajillion megabytes of RAM, I didn't ask for it, remove it now!". (Yes, I'm mostly talking about a certain annoying gambling card-counting program with the initials PT whose name I will not mention directly). If you're going to bundle PostgreSQL it'd be great if you could use a non-default port and non-default data directory. If you install a service to auto-start it, don't use the default service name postgresql-[version] but something like myapp-database or myapp-postgres. This is all done much more easily if you just bundle the PostgreSQL binaries in your installer then

The application is missing required files
When you run set up in another machine, publish folder of the application is needed to be present in that machine in the correct location. In your case publish folder is not present. Hence this kind of error is comming. Paste publish folder from your machine where program is running sucessfully to another machine where you want to install the application. Then, run the setup file, within that publish folder. Then only you will overcome from this problem. Publish folder contains all the necessary dlls and files, that application needs to run.

what are the major steps required to create multiple instances of a meteor.js application running on a single server?
I don't really have an answer to your question... but I just want to remind you of another potential problem that you may run into cuz I see you mentioned python, in other words, you may be running another web app on Apache/Nginx, etc... the problem is Meteor is not very friendly when it comes to co-exist with another http server, the project I'm working on was troubled by this issue and we had to move it to a stand alone server after days of hassle with guys from Meteor... I did not work on the issue, so I'm not able to give you more details, but I just looked up online and found something similar: http://serverfault.com/questions/424693/serving-meteor-on-main-domain-and-apache-on-subdomain-independently. Just something to keep in mind...

PHP Application Installer
Popular CMSs like Wordpress do installation just by copying the files and launching the SQL scripts for the database - create database and fill test data if needed. Which is fine. The real question is how do you install XAMPP in the first place. Because for that it's not enough just to copy files. And even if you do manage to install XAMPP, you have to automatically start the Apache and MySQL. Don't say that it's impossible, but I think you should look for an easier way and deal with that another PC owners.

libGdx unable to find files in android application data directory
You're running into a FileNotFound exception from android.content.res.AssetManager.open, but the doc for that explicitly states that it only works with "files bundled as assets". However, you don't call that directly.... Ah, the Libgdx BitmapFont constructor uses Gdx.files.internal to load the font texture: public BitmapFont (BitmapFontData data, TextureRegion region, boolean integer) { this.region = region == null ? new TextureRegion(new Texture(Gdx.files.internal(data.imagePath), false)) : region; ... (That seems like it might be a bug in Libgdx to just assume the font texture file is "internal", but I'm not sure how they should work around that ...) I think you can work around this by invoking the BitmapFont constructor that takes an explicit texture file in your

php: trying to find temporary copy of the uploaded files on the server
These files are temporary. They are so temporary, PHP deletes them at the end of the request. They're literally only there while the PHP script is running, and since it probably finishes within a second, you'll have a hard time seeing those files in the short time they're there. As pointed out above, they're also in /tmp, not /home/thejob/tmp.

I've encountered this error, and I've read this article back and forth but no vain. Finally, I've understood that the trouble is something with the security. find HTML Title from Delphi "Web Server Application"
The server does not have access to the contents of any page on the client responsible for initiating the request. The server only knows what the client tells it, and you can observe that page title is not ordinarily included in any HTTP requests. If the server needs to know the title of the page, then you need to make sure that's one of the parameters the client sends with its request. You cannot enforce that it's really the title of the page, though; nothing prevents the client from lying to the server. It can have whatever title it wants, as long as it uses the right magic words in its request to make the server think it has a required title.

How to handle a Client/Server application for sending message and/or files
Your question made me curious, how a modern java approach would look like. I also had some problems as I started experimenting with sockets, so here a little example that should help you out. The server handles each client in its own 'thread', you could say that's the basic client/server architecture. But I used the new Callable<V> instead of threads. I did not extend Socket nor ServerSocket. I nerver saw that before. I think it's better in that case to favor composition over inheritance. It gives you more control, since you can delegate what and how you prefer. For more information I recommend you to take a look at the oracle tutorials. import java.io.BufferedReader; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStreamReader; import java.io.PrintWriter; import java.net.Server

When I run application by installer, I am getting error as "Bad method token. "
This type of error is often related to obfuscation problems, especially if you are calling a method in a .dll through InvokeMember. Things to try: As a test, don't obfuscate and see if that fixes the problem. If so, you will know it is obfuscator-related. Try a different obfuscator. Their quality varies pretty greatly, especially the 'community' and 'free' ones. Get a good commercial obfuscator for production builds. As a test, try without the installer. Sometimes installers put files in unexpected places which can lead to runtime errors. Make sure your files are all being installed in the directories you intend. Make sure all your method parameters match in number and type if you are doing any InvokeMember calls. If they do not match, a runtime error will result in code that the

How to bundle JSP tomcat web application in a single installer
It is not an installer like the traditional exe file under windows. What java uses for deploying applications are two types of files. WAR and EAR files. EAR (Enterprise ARchive) is a file format used by Java EE for packaging one or more modules into a single archive so that the deployment of the various modules onto an application server happens simultaneously and coherently. It also contains XML files called deployment descriptors which describe how to deploy the modules. (source) You can use Ant or Maven to build EAR files. WAR file (or Web application ARchive) is a JAR file used to distribute a collection of JavaServer Pages, Java Servlets, Java classes, XML files, tag libraries, static Web pages (HTML and related files) and other resources that together constitute a Web application.

SOA application installation best practice: sigle installer or few separate MSI?
I would go with multiple installers, bundled into a big single installer, this allows you to easily separate and test them. The bundle installer has the purpose of capturing the data from the user a single time and pass it to all installers selected for installation. You can do this using Burn support from Wix or other setup authoring tools (that provide you with a GUI, allowing you create the projects and dialogs much easily). Wix is a very good tool, but the time you need to create the projects is too much, compared with the costs of a license for a good setup authoring tool that provides and drag and drop IDE to design dialogs and chain the installation of the separate installers. EDIT To pass values from the bootstrapper to the background installers is very easy, you don't need to w

Create an installer from Visual Studio 2012 to run an application on another PC
As Wix cannot integrate directly into Visual Studio Express, you can install the Visual Studio Isolated Shell Environment along side the express edition. Or you can use a stand alone Wix IDE like WixEdit to author the installer. I suspect that you've downloaded the wrong Visual Studio Express version. The Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8 is meant to build Windows 8 Store Apps, you probably need the Visual Studio Express 2012 for Desktop Applications version instead, even when building on Windows 8, the name is a bit confusing, I agree. Is it required to create IIS application for accessing application inside the website
In order to access it, is it necessary to "Convert to Application" the servicecrm folder. No -- whether you'd want to depends. If you want to share login/authentication across multiple applications under the root, then you might want to leave servicecrm as just a subfolder. But probably, since you've said the subfolder is itself a complete application, you should convert it to an IIS application. Note that, if you don't convert, certain settings in the subfolder's web.config (authentication mode, for example) will trigger the section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level error.

For full access to Windows Installer packages, you can use Orca from the Windows SDK or InstMSI, among others. If there are custom action binaries, you can extract those (as DLLs) and check them, too. Custom actions may also use certain naming conventions for properties or custom tables. For example, WiX uses WIX_... for some property names. Similarly, Dialogs might have recognizable names or control layouts. For executables, try CFF Explorer or UniExtractor.
