nodejs - jade ReferenceError: process is not defined
Try this... set the webstorm debugger to break on all unhandled exceptions. then run the app in debug mode. I think you will find the [referenceError] is being thrown from the referenced fs.js. More specifically, fs.js line 684: fs.statSync = function(path) { nullCheck(path); **return binding.stat(pathModule._makeLong(path));** }; These were my findings using the same dev environment as you. (win 64, webstorm, node, etc...) from there you can use webstorms evaluate expression to re-run that line of code and see exactly why you are failing.

ReferenceError: PF is not defined
The JS function PF() is only available since 4.0. You're apparently using PF 3.x. Look at the footer of the showcase site, it's saying that it's running PF 4.0. Just use widgetVar.show(), where widgetVar is the widget variable name as you specified in widgetVar, which is bar in their showcase example. <p:commandButton value="Show" onclick="bar.show()" type="button" /> <p:commandButton value="Hide" onclick="bar.hide()" type="button" />

Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined
2 issues. Looks like your jQuery was not loaded properly. You generally see this error Uncaught ReferenceError:$ is not defined when jQuery was not properly included on your page. Try using jQuery from CDN and it should solve your problem Replace <script src="JS/jquery-1.10.1.min.js"></script> with the one from cdn <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.1/jquery.min.js"></script> NOTE: if you test from file system, you need to add the http: to the above URL or it will fail Next your script file is before the HTML . So need to contain the code in DOM Ready handler. $(function() { $('#slider').cycle({ fx: 'scrollHorz', speed: 'fast', next: '#next', prev: '#prev' }); }); As far

Your code ran fine for me in Chrome29, does your browser support the Web Audio API? (http://caniuse.com/audio-api) I was getting a "ReferenceError: AudioContext not defined" error using AudioContext() instead of webkitAudioContext() before using the AudioContext Monkey Patch like you have. Sure its loaded and not a caching/hard-refresh issue?

ReferenceError: function is not defined - but it is
jQuery('#category_id')val() is a syntax error. You want jQuery('#category_id').val(). You see the error updateListingForm is not defined because the syntax error halts the parser and aborts the creation of the function. The function-not-defined error occurs when you try to use the function. You should also see a prior error in your console from when the parser tried to create the function: either Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier in Chrome, SyntaxError: missing ) after condition in Firefox, or Expected ')' in IE. That error should point you to the exact line of the problem.

ReferenceError, Function not Defined
You state that you try to run the function from the console. In addition, ReferenceError: contentcheck is not defined is a Javascript error, not a PHP error. Both of these facts lead me to the conclusion that you are trying to run the PHP code from inside the browser. Please note that PHP code is not available from within the browser -- the function will indeed be undefined if you run it in the console, because PHP is run on the web server, not in the browser. The browser will never see your PHP functions; it simply sees the output of the PHP program (eg the HTML code, etc that is printed from by your PHP program). The PHP code itself is never seen by the browser. It's not entirely clear what your program is supposed to be doing but what is clear is that the way you're trying to run it

Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined
You are appending the script tag to load jquery at the end of either the head or the bodyof the embedding document. if the code you are executing is situated before the location of the jquery import tag (eg. in a script section of the head or - if appended to the end of the body- in a scriptsection within the body), it cannot be present.

ReferenceError: variable is not defined
It's declared inside a closure, which means it can only be accessed there. If you want a variable accessible globally, you can remove the var: $(function(){ value = "10"; }); value; // "10" This is equivalent to writing window.value = "10";.

ReferenceError: variable not defined
You probably meant to do this: <body onmousemove="my(event);"> That is, you wanted to pass the event object to your my() function. Then within that function you can refer to it by the eve variable. (Note that it is very common to define an event variable with the name e rather than eve - a matter of preference, it'll work either way.) Also your closing script tag is incorrect, you should have </script> not <script>. Working demo: http://jsbin.com/oyoqeg/1/edit (Note that displaying an alert on mousemove makes the page pretty much unusable, but that's another issue.)

how to use nodejs listen multiple ips?
As http creates socket, you can't assign list of ips to one socket, that's why you need to create separate http objects for every ip, or use 0.0.0.0 (or simply dont define second parameter) to listen on all available ips.

ReferenceError: "$" is not defined in Client Side?
Tag <? that means the code runs on the server, and the server side it seems jQuery is not loaded, so the $ reference does not exist. Something like this should work without problem: <html> <head> <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(function() { var data = ['Gmail', 'Docs', 'Android']; var products = $('#products'); $(data).each(function(index, value) { products.append('<li>' + value + '</li>'); }); }); </script> </head> <body> My favorite Google products: <ul id="products"/> </body> </html>

function myVar() { if (document.getElementById('myVar').checked === true) { myVar = 1; } else { myVar = 0; } alert(myVar); } That will only work once. As soon as you enter the function myVar you will replace it's value (function is an object in JS) with either 1 or 0, and it will no longer be a function object, but a number.

Uncaught ReferenceError: Masonry is not defined
You are initializing masonry already at the top of your document: $(document).ready(function() { $('#post-area').masonry({ // options itemSelector : '.post', // options... isAnimated: true, animationOptions: { duration: 400, easing: 'linear', queue: false } }); }); And at the end you initialize again (without jQuery): var msnry = new Masonry( container, { itemSelector: '.post' }); The second block is redundant and throws the error. Just delete it.

You have to use DOM Ready handler.

Why am I getting "Uncaught ReferenceError: remoteWindow is not defined"
1. It might be due to the update of Ember Data to the latest 1.0 version in September 2013. So you have to use this.store.find('model'); Instead of App.Model.find(); And make more changes based on this document. 2. Add actions in controller, see this SO Q&A.

jQuery's document ready handler creates a different scope, so the mapCenterAt function is not available from the inline onclick handler as that is in the global scope, a higher scope than document ready. You either have to use the global scope : window.mapCenterAt = function(options, e) { e.preventDefault(); $("#googlemaps").gMap("centerAt", options); } or create a proper event handler: <script> jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { // Map Markers var mapMarkers = [{ address: "217 Summit Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35243", html: "<strong>Alabama Office</strong><br>217 Summit Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35243<br><br><a href='#' id='mapButton'>[+] zoom here</a>", icon: { image: "img/pin.png",

You need to quote the string "Stage": var artist_name = "{{$artist->stage_name}}"; // or var artist_name = "{{$artist->stage_name}}"; depending on how you generate this output. Otherwise, JS is looking for a variable named Stage. If Stage is actually a (JS) variable then it shouldn't be quoted, but just isn't available at the time this code runs.

From the other hand setColor that you are calling as onclick handler should be defined in global scope (which is window). Node.js + Angular = Uncaught ReferenceError: require is not defined
Node is a server side technology, you would not typically use your node modules on the browser with Angular.js. However, if you want commonjs require functionality in the browser see: https://github.com/substack/node-browserify. Ofcourse, a browser can't talk to mongodb directly which is why you need an API in the first place, angular would communicate with your API using HTTP. Angular.js makes an $http call to Node.js which requires and talks to the mongodb.
