text-align: justify not working in some browsers after applying normalize.css
normalize.css adds in a property, text-rendering: optimizeLegibility. Try turning that off and see how justify works. Justify affects your word spacing, while the text rendering affects your letter spacing. I'd start there.

Algorithm to Convert text from Left Align to Justify
The standard algorithm for breaking paragraphs into lines is probably still the algorithm of Knuth & Plass, used by Knuth's typesetting systemTeX. The algorithm, which 'avoids backtracing by a judicious use of the techniques of dynamic programming ' is described in Donald E. Knuth and Michael F. Plass, Software - Practice and Experience 11 (1981) 1119-1184 DOI: 10.1002/spe.4380111102, also available in Digital Typography, Ch. 3, pp. 67–155. The algorithm is based on considering each possible line break, starting from the beginning of the paragraph, and for each one finding the sequence of preceeding line breaks that gives the best result that far. As the entire sequence is determined by the last line break in the sequence, only the potential starting points for the current line h

How to get the "text-justify:kashida" css property effect on to the arabic text excluding IE browsers
The text-justify property was implemented in IE, and it is not part of any completed CSS specification. It exists in the Working Draft CSS Text Module Level 3, but even there, it is marked as being at risk: “The following features are at risk and may be cut from the spec during its CR period if there are no (correct) implementations: [...] the ‘text-justify’ property, particularly its ‘kashida’ value”. From the authoring perspective, the best you can do is to hope that other browsers will catch up. The styling requested is relatively complicated and probably not anything you can imitate with JavaScript in the same sense as you can “polyfill” CSS properties

It is also explained here http://phrogz.net/css/vertical-align/index.html Line-height should also work, set it as the same height as the parent div: #menu { height: 90px; line-height: 90px; } Edit: Line-height usually won't work in a floating element so that's why it might not work for you.

Right align PlaceHolder text in UITextField
You've discovered that "drawInRect" is automagically drawing from the left edge going right. What you need to do is adjust the "rect" passed to "drawInRect" to have left edge that allows the right edge of the drawn text to touch the right edge of your UITextField rect. To do this, I'd recommend using this method: NSString's [self placeholder] sizeWithFont: constrainedToSize:] (assuming [self placeholder] is a NSString) which will give you the true width of the string. Then subtract the width from the right edge of the text field box and you have the left edge where you need to start your drawing from.

iTextSharp: align image and text
Do you really need a PdfPTable? Why not add a Paragraph with the data that is right-aligned, followed by a couple of Paragraphs that are centered. Then add the image at an absolute position, for instance: Image img = Image.GetInstance(path_to_image); img.SetAbsolutePosition(36, PdfWriter.getVerticalPosition(true)); document.Add(Image); Another option is to add the Image in a table or a cell event instead of adding it straight to the table. Suppose that your PdfPTable consists of a single row and a single column, then you could define a cell event like this: public class ImageCell : IPdfPCellEvent { public void CellLayout( PdfPCell cell, Rectangle position, PdfContentByte[] canvases ) { float x1 = position.Left + 2; float y1 = position.Top - 2;

Align text to center in string C++
I'm going to assume you already know how to pass a string from Lua to C++ and return the result from C++ to Lua, so the only part we need to deal with is producing the centered string. That, however, is pretty easy: std::string center(std::string input, int width = 113) { return std::string((width - input.length()) / 2, ' ') + input; }

How to align a text vertically in a div while inside another div?
I took the liberty of moving some of the CSS inside your HTML into the CSS area. On your web page you should probably put it in <style> tags instead of hard coded into each element to make it readable. I changed your HTML structure because yours was very... interesting... I formatted it like it should appear: one container containing everything -> two areas for right and left. From what you had it seemed that this is a one time fix and you're not going to need very much flexibility so I came up with this hard coded solution. It involves floating the right content and absolutely positioning the left content to make it centered. If you have larger content than just "Text" you will need to adjust the top value for that class Here is my edited HTML <div class='container'> <b
