Value Cannot be null in Ado.Net connectivity
Name p = grid.SelectedItem as Name; if(p!=null) // check null before remove { dbContext.Names.Remove(p); dbContext.SaveChanges(); } if you get null value as p, you need to find the reason for that. debug and check the value you get for SelectedItem and also can it cast to a Name? you may need to do as below var name = dbContext.Names.FirstOrDefault(x=>x.SomeProperty == grid.DataKeys[grid.SelectedIndex].Value); dbContext.Names.Remove(name); dbContext.SaveChanges();

Hadoop connectivity with SAS
What SAS/ACCESS serves for is to: - provide you with ability to read data and write from/to a datasource, take care of data type conversions - provides metadata about a datastore (list of tables, fields, datatypes) - provide a mean to (also partially) translate (implicit pass-through) SAS code to datasource specific code (usually SQL variant etc) - provide a mean for you to write a datasource specific code and sent it from SAS for execution in datasource I'm totally new to Hadoop :-) so I'll just guess that SAS/Access to Hadoop (via LIBNAME statement) reads relational data from Hadoop, the documentation mentions JDBC, so I guess that's used for data access. I'd doubt SAS/Access is able to query the cubes from Hadoop (is that your question? - "I have created cube dimensions over t

iOS enterprise vpn connectivity
Usual approach: 1)User opens VPN client enables VPN connectivity 2)User uses the app. Alternative approach: If you are developing an enterprise application then you could possibly start and stop VPN connection right from the app using apple's private api. Advantages of the approach: So that all the network connections from the app are routed through VPN and user doesn't have to enable VPN connection every time he uses the app. Reference: You could find some hot discussions on this topic in the following threads. Bluetooth connectivity using IOS device
There are three frameworks available in iOS using which you can develop the bluetooth applications: GameKit: This is the publicly available framework . But using this you can only establish and communicate between only two iOS device. So this framework having its own limitations . BluetoothManager: This is private framework .I used this framework to discover the non iOS devices . I have established the connection also . But cant able to do the data exchange. I think it is still under development. For the reference you can refer this link CoreBluetooth: This is also the public framework. This can only discover BLE enabled devices . I have successfully used this to transfer the data between the BLE enabled devices.

Turning Internet Connectivity off with Robotium
It's not possible in direct way without permission to do it. You can create another application with that permission, this application should have implemented broadcast receiver for getting broadcast messages for turning on/off wifi and this way you can send broadcast messages from your android test to this application.

Trying to create function that checks connectivity
you are returning it wrong. instead of returning it from the done and fail function, return the value from outside the get call. function checkIfOnline() { var returned = true; $.get('services/getObjects.ashx', { "get": "heartbeat", "hash": userHash, "uid": uid, "gid": gid }, function (data) { if(data.result === "Success") { alert("Success"); } console.log(data.result); }, "json" ) .done(function () {alert("done"); returned = true; }) .fail(function () {alert("fail"); returned = false; }); return returned; } UPDATE: The above answer is not completely correct. The correct implementation would be the use of deferred objects as mentioned

Test Quartz.NET connectivity to SQL Server
I'll answer my own question hoping this will help someone else. If your connectivity is configured correctly, Quartz will automatically write some rows to QRTZ_JOB_DETAILS and QRTZ_LOCKS (and a few others). And yes, integrated security seems to work. I used this: Data Source=MyServer;Initial Catalog=ABC;Integrated Security=SSPI; which is very standard and it worked fine.

XMPP Server, smack API connectivity
You did not even reach the Tigase server. The error appears to be related to either configuration of the DNS or to parameters you pass to the Smack library. I do not know Smack API but from the error you attach it looks like you provide incorrect hostname, or at least a hostname which does not have a correct DNS entry. This is fine and you should still be able to connect to the server if you can provide IP address as well.

SignalR Hub connectivity from Windows Phone 8
Figured it out myself. Turns out the SignalR connectivity issue from the WPDev emulator was actually due to IIS/Windows security. Little more IIS config & opening local ports through Windows Firewall fixed the problem. Spring data - hadoop connectivity
If you ever wish to impersonate a user as another, Apache Hadoop requires that your service-side configuration allows such a thing. This means, that if you're running as "foo", and you want to actually submit the job as "bar", then your NameNode/JobTracker requires its loaded core-site.xml config to be allowing "foo" to proxy other users, and typically something like the below must be present in the NameNode's/JobTracker's core-site.xml: <property> <name>hadoop.proxyuser.foo.groups</name> <value>*</value> </property> <property> <name>hadoop.proxyuser.foo.hosts</name> <value>*</value> </property> This would allow user foo to impersonate any other user (* for groups), and do so when submitting from any host

keep checking for the network connectivity android
You should never check periodically (or continuously) for connectivity. You should listen for connection changes, as stated here. The whole page is a good tutorial on how not to drain the baterry when using internet. Basically, you need to register a BroadcastReceiver for <action android:name="android.net.conn.CONNECTIVITY_CHANGE"/>, and implement the logic you want there: public class NetworkReceiver extends BroadcastReceiver { @Override public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { ConnectivityManager conn = (ConnectivityManager) context.getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); NetworkInfo networkInfo = conn.getActiveNetworkInfo(); // Checks the user prefs and the network connection. Based on the result, decides whethe

Azure SQL Database Connectivity Issues - Too many connections?
It does sound like you are on the right track in looking at this dm_exec_requests DMV. I suspect you have already seen this, but there is a fair bit more information on the 180 throttle limit which is documented here and outlines some key reasons for it. If it is of interest to you we have a service called Cotega which might be helpful for both of your questions. The first is that we can run all the key DMV's against your database to show you what is happening to help you analyze your db and we can also notify you (email, sms) when you start to get close to your throttling limits.

Hadoop remote data sources connectivity
These are the few I am aware of : Oracle ArcGIS Geodatabase Teradata Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW) PostgreSQL IBM InfoSphere warehouse Couchbase Netezza Tresata But I am still wondering about the intent of this question. Every data source fits into a particular use case. Like, Couchbase for document data storage, Tresata for financial data storage and so on. Are you going to decide your store based on the connector availability??I don't think so.

Detecting limited network connectivity in Android?
Is there a good way to determine that the user has a fully functioning network connection? Try downloading something from somewhere. Ideally, the "somewhere" is your own server, to test connectivity between the device and your server. Alas, there are no doesTehConnexionSuck() or iCanHazBandwidth() methods on ConnectivityManager. :-) Is this overkill? In the spirit of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", I'd describe that as justrightkill. We have to do the same sorts of shenanigans in Web apps too.

Handling APNS Push Token with no network connectivity
I think it's still best to register for push notifications when the app is launched. When you get the device token, you don't have to immediately send it to your server. You can store it locally on the device. When your logic requires to send the device token (as well as other settings) to your server, get the locally saved token. If the saved token is null, try registering again, and send the token to your server once you get it. Note that when the app is launched you should register for push notifications even if you a have a previous locally stored device token (due to the remote chance that Apple would decide to change the device token).

Why is a static IP address required to use financial FIX protocol connectivity?
Yes, the reason is that the (free registration required, sadly) FIXT specification test cases (specifically test case 1S/c) requires IP validation for Logon messages. It does not exclude the possibility of allowing an entire IP block (just references "system configuration" as a source of the allowed IP), but most vendors follow the spirit of highest possible security. The spec (page 39) further mentions unauthorized attempts to break into your system as the reason for doing the validation.

dojo jsonrest store with periods of no internet connectivity
I'm not sure why you have a separate method of adding an item to the store? When you do a get on the Cache, if the item does not exist in the memory store, then a request is made by the JsonRest store and the returned item is stored in the memory store. There should be no need to do a separate xhr request, infact query() calls on the cache always go through the JsonRest store, you'd need to override the caches query function to make it check the memory store first. If you just want to add to the store, then a put or add would suit your needs, and do what your xhr post is doing. Also if you are not happy with the way failed requests are handled by the JsonRest store, just extend it and override its get, query, add, remove or put function(s), handling request responses in your own way.

Xively C library with ubuntu eclipse(gcc/g++) 32bit crosscompilation app connectivity
Xively C library should work on any 32-bit and 64-bit POSIX OS as well as various RTOS with lwIP. To cross compile the library using arm-linux-eabi-gcc, you need to run the following command in the toplevel directory: make -C src CC=arm-linux-eabi-gcc AR=arm-linux-eabi-gcc libxively make -C src CC=arm-linux-eabi-gcc AR=arm-linux-eabi-gcc examples Detailed instructions Below I will describe how to compile a simple example C program and statically link it with Xively library. This should provide enough background information. Although, I cannot provide information on how to fix Eclipse IDE as I doubt it's possible. Create a directory and clone the library: mkdir hello_xively cd hello_xively git clone --recursive https://github.com/xively/libxively Add the test.c file now as shown:

C# - "Cross-thread operation not valid" error during connectivity event
The timer, or whatnot, that is firing that event is doing it from a different thread than the one owning the form (and all its controls). This may have "worked" in an earlier version of WinForms, in the sense that the explicit checks that are now throwing exceptions wasn't there. It didn't work correctly, however, which is why those checks was added, to help people figure out that they have a problem. There's two ways to handle this: Ensure the code that invokes the event is not using a secondary thread. You're mentioning a timer, it could be that this code is using the wrong type of timer, by mistake. You should look into that. If the code is using System.Threading.Timer, verify if it can use System.Windows.Forms.Timer instead. This second timer uses the messaging system that the Win
