Passing Parsed Data from the Parent view to Child view using segue
It looks like you are expecting a ChildTableViewController but receiving a UITableViewController. Make sure your segue is navigating to what you think. You can also add this: if ([myNextPage isKindOfClass:[ChildTableViewController class]]) That will likely prevent the crash, but if the segue is misconfiguration to go to the wrong view controller, you will need to fix that as well for the segue to do anything.

How to prevent view from passing its model to the partial view, but instead pass null?
I understand the reason you want to not pass the model is so that your inputs are emptied out? If this is the case, you can rather pass a new Model to this partial: @Html.Partial("Child", new Model()) Since the Model is new, it won't have any values populated.

LinQ: How to Write single Query to retrieve records while passing List/string collection in efficient way?
To pass in a bunch of Id's to a query to compare to Id's in the database, typically you would use a Contains call instead of looping through it (which will cause another query for each iteration of the loop, and will be quite slow). I can't quite gather how it would fit into your Entities since I'm not sure how the using (SupportEntity support = new SupportEntity()) portion would work, but here's a simple example: public IEnumerable<Car> GetCarsMatchingIds(IEnumerable<int> carIds) { using(var dealershipContext = new DealershipContext()) { return dealershipContext.Cars.Where(c => carIds.Contains(c.Id)); } }

Passing Data from One View to Another view in MVC
You could use an HTML form that will submit the value of the textbox to the second controller: @using (Html.BeginForm("index", "b", FormMethod.Post)) { @Html.TextBoxFor(x => x.SomeValue) <button type="submit">OK</button> } Since we are using a POST request the value will be sent in the body of this request and it will not be part of the resulting query string.

How to retrieve a particular image from a scroll view?
First of all avoid using absolute layout. It is not advisable. Put some classifiers in intent.put extra() , and on the second activity you can retrieve the classifier based on intent.getextra(). Based on that you can switch the visibility of the image view. For ex:: onclicklistener of button 2 , while launching the intent give intent.put extra("whichButton","button2"). In on create of second activity check If(intent.has extra("whichbutton")){String which button= intent.getextra}. Then based on button values switch visibilty of image views.

Retrieve Session variables into ASP.NET MVC 4 (razor, view)

Retrieve view inside a row of a ListView Android
Do not use adapter.getView() for that! This method is used internally for the adapter to create the view that gets displayed in the list! The correct way to do this is to modify the underlying data and to refresh the list with adapter.notifyDataSetChanged(). Do not try to access views in the list directly, you don't know if they are visible at the moment or scrolled outside the view.

Best way to store model image using EF5 and retrieve in MVC View
The images "flash" up instead of instantaneously because your browser has to return to the server for each image. Many browsers have a limit on how many extra links (css files, js files, image files, etc.) that it can have open at any given time. So that's why your images don't appear instantaneously. Some things you can do to help: If your images don't change often, add an [OutputCache(...)] attribute to your GetImage action. This way, the images will cache on the server and/or on the client for faster loading. Store your files locally on the server instead of in a database. This will let your IIS access the files directly as static files and avoid the MVC pipeline. Keep your files in the database, but cache them on your server (for example, under App_Data) as you retrieve them from

Spring Web MVC: How to retrieve model (passed as map) in a view? [SOLVED]
The model objects will be exposed using their keys: Map<String, Object> myModel = new HashMap<String, Object>(); myModel.put("myVar", "myValue"); return new ModelAndView("view", myModel); In the JSP file: ... <p>${myVar}</p> ... I am not sure if it would work with your given variable names (1 and 2). But I would recommend to use real good names for your variable, as in your Java code. Note that you could create the ModelAndView without to have to create a Map like this: ModelAndView modelAndView = new ModelAndView("view"); modelAndView.add("myVar", "myValue"); return modelAndView;

Android ListView, retrieve specific element(View) from row with multiple elements
I'm not really sure if I understood you, but I think you want to add a AdapterView.OnItemClickListener to your ListView. Implement this listener which only has one method: onItemClick(AdapterView<?> parent, View view, int position, long id) In your case view will be the row the user clicked and item is the position of the row in your adapter. To retrieve the text of the row, first you should get the TextView (if your view is a container) with something like TextView textView = (TextView) view.findViewById(R.id.your_textview_id); and then retrieve the text with a call to textView.getText() Hope it helps

View not passing Id to controller
Your not getting anything in there because your not passing anything to the controller. it is getting a default object. There is no form on there to pass back data in a POST. Normally for a delete or edit on a grid you would add the ID of the record onto the route and use that to edit/delete your object. So public ActionResult DeleteModule(ModuleVM moduleVM) becomes public ActionResult DeleteModule(long Id) and your action link becomes <li>@Html.ActionLink("Delete", "DeleteModule","Module", new { Id = entry.Id })</li> Then change your code to use the Id and delete the record.

Then when you try to add the first order.amount to it you are getting an error because you can't add to nil. Try either setting @totamount = 0 before your loop or doing: @totamount = order.map(&:amount).inject(&:+) To add all the amounts together.

Passing data from Controller to View in a PHP MVC app
My guess that the reason could be simply "less typing", but that have some nice side effects: Helps when the ones writing the templates are not familiar with php and this way they don't have to be concerned with the "what could this $this-> mean?". Having a separate container for the variables also helps when there are some properties of the view that should be private to that class and the library writers doesn't want to expose them to the template writers Prevents name collisions with the view's own properties and the variables for the templates. Much faster than method based access schemes. Might not be as relevant now as it was when for example smarty was created (worked with php4 too).

Passing a List to View from Contoller in .NET
Html.Display displays "data from the ViewData dictionary or from a model" as stated on MSDN. What it means is that it searches for the key in the ViewData dictionary with the value you pass in or a property in the Model with the specified name. E.g. Display("test") would search ViewData for the "test" key and the Model for the property named test. Since you are passing in property values that cannot work. Your options are: Output the value directly, @item.numplanindex. This will output a string representation of the value. Use Display, although this is not recommended. You could do Display("PhoneDisplay[1].numplanindex") to display numplanindex property of the second item in list. Use DisplayFor, like DisplayFor(model => item.numplanindex). This is a strongly typed version of Display.
