Can I migrate remote SVN to local disk without exporting dmp files on remote server?
You can dump only latest revision range with the -r switch. svnadmin dump REPOS_PATH [-r LOWER[:UPPER]] [--incremental] [--deltas] and then you can load this increment in the new repository. Reference: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn.ref.svnadmin.c.dump.html Example: http://www.vioan.ro/wp/2007/07/31/dumprestore-for-subversion-repository/

merge remote branches before it gets merged to remote/master?
Whether or not you'll have a merge "problem" depends on what happens on the upstream master prior to the owner merging in branchA. However, regardless of what happens, once branchA does get merged into the upstream master, you can just run the following in your local copy and be "up-to-date": git checkout master git fetch upstream git reset --hard upstream/master This combination will ensure your local copy of master points to the same commit as the upstream copy of master. Since you would do this after the owner merged branchA into the upstream master, your local master will, effectively, still have the changes introduced by branchA. update If you want to make changes to branchA prior to merging into master, I would recommend you create your own branch based on branchA and make your

Remote PHP Debugging with Netbeans and XDebug (remote server)
Remember you need to set the Path Mapping in the Debugger tab inside Netbeans Options. Another little big problem I was having when trying to connect from NetBeans remotely was the SSH tunnel. You have to creat it for the port xdebug will work on, 9000 usually. If you experience network problems for a moment, the tunnel might "break" silently and NetBeans will be stuck in the holy "Waiting for connection..." state. In putty, you can right click and Restart Session, but this won't work. You will need to close the putty window and re open the session for it to work again. Hope it helps!

Syncing remote fork with remote master
Your local repository is a clone of your fork, so that is your origin. You need to pull from your remote repository and push to your fork. Assuming that you are on your master branch locally you can pull any changes from the upstream repository (the one that you forked from) git pull upstream master Then once you have resolved any merge issues etc you can push the changes to your fork. git push origin master how will you get any changes into your company repository of you only do this? And if you're not going to be making any changes why not just clone your company repository and do away with the fork? Edit. If you want to sync all of the remote branches you can do git remote update Which will fetch all of the remote branches. Then you can push to your origin.

You can just use binding.remote_pry(host_string, port_number) In your code to bind on host different from localhost. And use pry-remote -s host -p port to connect to this host from another computer. But pry-remote opens only one listening socket, so your colleague can only has access if you are not connected yet.

Error unable to connect to remote server when upload file to remote server
Using the FTP protocol requires a dedicated FTP server software running on the remote machine. FTP cannot access network drives without it. If you just want to access files on your network, start with this SO question: Copying files to a mapped drive while user is not logged in (scheduled task) For security reasons, I strongly recommend a few steps before: a) Do not open root shares like C$. b) Create specific shares on your "remote" server, where you grant access only to users for that specific purpose. is there a way to save css/js changes of remote resource between page reloads or map remote resource to local in devtools?
You got most of it, but here's the slight change: Make a change in the Styles pane (or in Sources), then click over to Sources, and when your modified file is open, hit ctrl-s. Then you can right-click the asset in the Sources list and hit Save As... and save the new modified file to disk. There is no way to save a modified remote file without persisting it to disk and expect it to be changed on reload.

According to Windows IT Pro (referred in Microsoft TechNet): PsExec displays the process's exit code and returns the exit code as its own exit code. So, your batch should work. Get master of one remote repository into master another remote+ one
If I understand what you're looking for - a one-time conversion, as opposed to continuous integration - this should work out. It's a bit overkill, as you could adapt it to work in your currently existing local repo, but then I'd have to make assumptions about the current state of your local repo, and this approach will help avoid conflicts due to uncommitted changes, unpushed state, etc. git init newrepo # create a new scratch space repo cd newrepo git remote add originA <url or relative path of A> # add both original repos as remotes git remote add originB <url or relative path of B> git fetch originA master # fetch the branches we want git fetch originB master git checkout -b newbranch originB/master # sta

Adding to remote DB
Spaces are not valid characters in a URL. You need to properly escape them so they become %20. The best way to do this is to use the NSString method stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:. NSString *strURL = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://pruebapestana.comoj.com/juancho4.php?name=%@&last=%@&age=%@", [_name.text stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding], [_last.text stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding], [_age.text stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]]; This will properly escape any other special values in addition to the spaces.

Remote impersonation with UAC
This might be because the remote server has UAC enabled. This means that when you connect to the remote machine, even though you are an administrator, you are stripped of those powers when you operate on the remote machine. There is a Group Policy option that controls this: LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy Edit: Fixed the link to the proper KB article "Description of User Account Control and remote restrictions in Windows Vista": As to why does it only apply to local admins, and not domain admins? Because that's what the option does - it only limits "members of the local administrator's group": A user who has a domain user account logs on remotely to a Windows Vista computer ..., the domain user will run with a full administrator access token on the remote computer, and UAC will n

How to know Remote IP Address in JSP
In general, you can only know this without help from the payment provider if there are no proxies between you and the provider, and the provider sends a HTTP POST (or similar) directly to you In that case ServletRequest.getRemoteAddr() should give you the provider's address. If you get the client browser's address instead, then probably the provider does not send the POST directly to you, but instead instructs the client browser to send it (most likely using Javascript). In that case, there is no way for you to find out the address the provider was sending from. At any rate, why do you need to know the payment provider's IP address? You redirect to the provider yourself, so you already have the address, don't you? Maybe you could explain in more detail what the flow of data is bet

Remote login PHP
You can't include/require PHP pages from another server because those php-files are getting parsed. You will end up getting the parsed HTML code or non at all if your config.php meets minimum safety standards. You'd have to open it differently but be aware that if you can open config.php in an easy way remotely, everyone else can too... I suggest not to use include at all but try a different approach: for example via a php script on that second server that returns you plain text like: login|logout ok|error id_Paul23 pwHash_asdf02302afbd33 the second items after the | represent an alternative response if you have an erroneus login attempt. Your user sends the login-data to your script on server 1 which attempts a login-try on that special script on server 2 which returns the result abov

remote css won't load when using SSL
You basically shouldn't be mixing SSL and non-SSL content in your browser. Since your page is loaded in SSL, anything you do in it should also be secure. I believe some browsers will still load the content with only a warning message instead, but in any case, you shouldn't be mixing them. If it's not terribly important that that page be secure, I would just disable https from that one page while someone is viewing it

Duplicated tag on remote?
The tagname^{} syntax means "the object to which the tag points". See man git-rev-parse. Annotated tags consist of a tag object (which contains the tag message, and other data), which references another object (the thing which was actually tagged). The line refs/tags/1.0.1.1308 says that the tag object has the id dc4ea0f. The refs/tags/1.0.1.1308^{} line then tells whoever wants to know that the tag 1.0.1.1308 points to the object 2cc0513, which is probably a commit (although things other than commits can be tagged). That is, when you tagged the object 2cc0513, you created a tag with id dc4ea0f.

SoapEnvelopeLoggingInterceptor does not log for remote endpoint
There are several factors that could cause this issue. Without any code or any details about what technologie you use for logging (i.e log4 etc...), it will be difficult for anybody to answer your question. If you're using log4j, you may want to compare your local configuration versus your remote server configuration to detect what the difference is.

What means remote=. in GIT config?
That is quite strange. I went ahead and created a dummy repo, changed .git/config to make a remote be ., added some code, committed, and pushed. $ git checkout weird $ touch nothing $ git add nothing $ git commit -a -m "test" [sup 031541e] test 1 file changed, 0 insertions(+), 0 deletions(-) create mode 100644 nothing $ git push fatal: The upstream branch of your current branch does not match the name of your current branch. To push to the upstream branch on the remote, use git push . HEAD:master To push to the branch of the same name on the remote, use git push . weird $ git push . weird Everything up-to-date It appears to be hitting the repository locally, which of course means that a push results in git saying it's up to date.

Comparing two remote threads?
Well it's hard to say not knowing how you plan to do this synchronization. Are the two program communicating to each other and/or a third monitoring pgm? In any case there are at least 3 possibilities: Use an associative container like a map in the two programs (or the 3rd) that matches up the pthread thread ids from the two programs (e.g. pthread_self() to get the tids) the linux thread ids (e.g. gettid()) Or you can possibly make use of pthread_setname_np() and pthread_getname_np(). You can use these to give each thread in both programs the same name and maybe that becomes useful in some messaging scenario. You might also make use of the __FILE__, __LINE__ and __FUNCTION__ (__func__ in c99) macros in conjuction with the thread name if you are messaging. That's my (black box)

Remote shell scripting
Instead of saying ssh -t host command $argument ... say ARGUMENT="-abc" COMMAND="'command $ARGUMENT'" and then offer sst -t host $COMMAND the remote machine is going to have no idea what $ARGUMENT is, so be sure to interpolate that string on the local machine before sending it. Note that you will need to be tricky with quotes, as I have, above, because you cannot interpolate variables inside single ticks (''). edit: I have to wonder why you are insisting on running the pipes on the remote machine. Can you not simply say: ssh -t host -- ps -ef | grep process_name | grep -v grep That seems to me the best way to do this. Then you don't have to mess around with variable interpolation and and curious ticks. edit 2: Can you not just use sudo -s username ssh foo?

Git : Push to different remote branch
Git is distributed and works locally for most of its operations; it doesn't matter whether the remote exists when you make your branches or commits locally. It just has to exist when you make the push. So you can add the remote repository, and then push your branch to it. The branch will get created remotely if it doesn't exist. git remote add github-repo https://github.com/myaccountname/project.git git push github-repo issue_fix

ext.net : remote filtering with the pagination
A GridFilters with Local="false" sends the filters' values automatically. You do not need to put in into a StoreParameter. The parameter name is "filter" by default. However, the following signature [WebMethod] public Paging<SomeEntity> GetData(int start, int limit, string sort, string filter) can cause a problem for an initial load request, because a GridFilters sends adds a filter parameter only if any filter is applied. So, if no filter parameter, a WebService will throw an error. So, I can recommend you to use the StoreRequestParameters class. [WebMethod] public Paging<SomeEntity> GetData() { StoreRequestParameters parameters = new StoreRequestParameters(this.Context); return new Paging<SomeEntity>(...); }

Git: what exactly causes remote branches to update?
Like the book says, they're moved automatically whenever git does any network operations. So that would include git fetch, git push, and git pull. If the statement of Pro Git was correct I would expect my remote branch to be the same as my local one, since every fetch or pull would be a communication with origin. I think you're a bit confused about what is meant by "moved automatically". When remote branches are moved, they are moved to reflect the current state of the remote repository. The remote repository itself isn't changed by git fetch or git pull, so the remote branches don't move either. Try running git log --oneline --graph --decorate to see a nice graph of the current state of your repository. Note the position of branch-x and origin/branch-x in that graph. Then, run git
