Issue when trying to deploy a Struts2 Spring 3 web application to Weblogic 10.3.5 from eclipse
What I ending up doing was adding the struts2 jars to the lib folder instead of letting Maven manage them and modified the weblogic.xml to contain the following: <wls:container-descriptor> <wls:prefer-web-inf-classes>true</wls:prefer-web-inf-classes> </wls:container-descriptor> Once I made these changes, the program ran without any problems! What is the best way to deploy to a standalone Weblogic Server ADF Secure Application with maven
Which version are you using, because if you are using 12c it should come out of the box with JDeveloper! Or else try to use OEPE(Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse) as it packages the application without OJDeploy, you can use that and create your Maven script to take the generated war file and resume from there.

Weblogic application classloading of utility jar classes from other jars in the same webapp
Below is an excerpt from oracle documentation: The J2EE specification provides the manifest Class-Path entry as a means for a module to specify that it requires an auxiliary JAR of classes. You only need to use this manifest Class-Path entry if you have additional supporting JAR files as part of your EJB JAR or WAR file. Please go through the Manifest Class-Path section in the below documentation - Class Loading J2ee deployment archive [EAR] is an assembly of different modules with each module declaring there dependencies in there respective manifest files. As per my understanding, each module [ war, ejb, jar] inside EAR will have there own class loaders which are children to EAR class loader. And child class loaders will have visibility of their parents only and are unaware of the

2 way ssl in weblogic to a existing weblogic instance 9.2 + regression testing
If you use the demo identity and trust store, it should only be for testing purposes. You do NOT want to use the demo identity and trust store for a secure production system. Create your own identity and either self-sign it, or get a CA to sign it. Then give the CA cert to the clients to trust. (If it's a commercial CA, they probably already have it in their trust mechanism.) Create your own trust store and place the CA cert/s of your clients into it. Now, your app will know who to trust, and will have a unique identity that your clients can trust. Here are some basic ways to test it: Try connecting as a client without an identity (1-way SSL) to make sure 2-way SSL is being enforced. (It should not connect.) Try connecting as a client with an identity that is not trusted by the s

ORA-01013 - Weblogic setting error?
This sounds like a JDBC timeout. From the WebLogic console go to Services->Data Sources and click the name of your data source to see its settings. Click the Connection Pool tab, and expand the Advanced section at the bottom of the page. Look for the Statement Timeout setting. From the documentation: When Statement Timeout is set to -1, (the default) statements do not timeout. The behaviour you're seeing suggests the timeout is set to 1800 if it's timing out after 30 minutes. However, this won't have changed on its own, and if it was already set then it was being ignored previously, which would need some investigation - has anything else changed? Another possibility is that your code is making several calls within the 3-4 hour window and one of them is now exceeding the timeout on

web.xml validation in Weblogic throws error because of cookie-config
The <cookie-config> is introduced in Servlet 3.0 and not supported in older versions such as 2.5. Your web.xml is declared conform Servlet 2.5. You've 2 options: Redeclare web.xml conform Servlet 3.0 (which implicitly also requires a Servlet 3.0 compatible target container such as Tomcat 7, Glassfish 3, WebLogic 12, etc). If you can't upgrade, then forget it and solve it using a custom servlet filter or container-specific configuration (e.g. a Valve in Tomcat/JBoss; can't answer off top of head for WebLogic as I've never really used it, consider asking a new question for that part).

Examine the LocalServer32 key under the CLSID {000209FF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}. Initially was missing. After re-install Word, the CLDID was there but LocalServer32 key is missing So Word is unable to register properly because you have a system issue. As that you've tried most or all of the reasonable steps, your next step is to reinstall Windows. Or you could try manually registering it by duplicating all the relevant keys from a different machine. But that probably wouldn't solve the problem. Super User might be a better place to ask about installation and Windows registry issues.

Error: Server Error in '/' Application Parser Error, asp.net c#?
Try changing CodeBehind="OutReport.aspx.cs" to CodeFile="OutReport.aspx.cs" EDIT: A CodeBehind Needs to be compiled ( asp.net 1.1 model) and compiled binary is placed in the bin folder of the website. You need to do a compile in visual studio before you deploy. Good model when you do not want the source code to be viewable as plain text ... for example when delivering to a customer who you not have obligation to provide code. A CodeFile file is located and compiled by ASP.NET at runtime, on demand. You can "pre-compile" your web site to fall back on the older model, which is useful if you won't want to deploy your source code to every web site. But by default, your CodeFile file is a .cs file that is deployed to the site, and the class is generated in the ASP.NET temporary storage folde

enabling SSL on weblogic
The short answer is yes. As you've said, you certainly don't want to use the demo certificate in production. The reason why that simple step isn't mentioned is that it's covered in the "Configure Listen Ports" page. Turning on the SSL listen port is comparable to adding "Listen 443" in an apache config. It means you can communicate over SSL, but doesn't force it or stop listening for HTTP. One other thing - the Weblogic version in the documentation you posted was 8.1. I'm not sure if you intended it to be such an old version, so here's the same page for 11g: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e13707/ssl.htm

Coherence server in weblogic
Try connecting to the admin server, not the coherence server. It becomes a little clearer when you use WLST to query MBeans, but most of the JMX data you want will be served from the admin server. This is a sample Coherence application that runs on Glassfish. Oracle have made it quite easy to port Glassfish webapps over to Weblogic, but if you really want to learn how coherence works, I would suggest you take a look at the code and try to write your own application from scratch, using it as an example.

load balancing using weblogic
Zack, You could have this batch application (which I imagine would be a plain Java application for your description) pooling for those files in that shared location, once it finds something you can have it invoke a EJB or RMI Object that is load balanced on your X instances of Weblogic, or even populate a JMS queue to process this file for you (in a clustered environment) It's not at all something unusual to do with Weblogic's clustering features, and you use different load balancing algorithms (such as round-robin, weight-based and random) There are different ways to set it up depending on your approach and preferred algorithm, check out Weblogic Load Balancing documentation and this section of Weblogic Definitive Guide Book - Using JNDI in a Clustered Environment

Identify who is using a certificate via weblogic
I think what makes this tricky is there are many ways to "use" a certificate. To start with a certificate can be stored in an individual keystore, or inside jre/lib/security/cacerts, on weblogic admin console configuration, or passed using java system property -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore. It can be used by classes such as SSLSocket, or any arbitrary library that uses this class, or configured via Spring xml. Typically an application would "use" a certificate if it made a HTTPS connection into a domain with matching CN. I would begin by searching the source code for this (eg: search for SSLSocket / HTTPS / the CN name)

Weblogic and Glassfish Jax-RS Jersey
I guess you moved some of the jars from WLS to GF. If so, remove the com.sun.jersey.server_*.jar that was moved from WLS from your GF installation (or from your WAR if it's there) and you should be fine. You don't need this jar to run your JAX-RS service in GF 3.1.2 (GF should have all needed dependencies bundled in it).

weblogic.socket.UnrecoverableConnectException
I suspect your weblogic listen address is configured with your server's hostname. See the following article: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13709/setup.htm Specifically it says: Localhost Considerations If you identify a server instance's listen address as localhost, non-local processes will not be able to connect to the server instance. Only processes on the machine that hosts the server instance will be able to connect to the server instance. If the server instance must be accessible as localhost (for instance, if you have administrative scripts that connect to localhost), and must also be accessible by remote processes, leave the listen address blank. The server instance will determine the address of the machine and listen on it.

Using Weblogic keystores for Websphere MQ
From the perspective of server setup: If the keystore is specified by the -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore command-line argument, trusted CA certificates will always be loaded from that keystore. This argument is checked first by weblogic. We put this in our startWebLogic.cmd file. Are you running with managed servers and an admin server or just the admin server? Make sure all of your servers have the identity and trust paths set on the Keystores tab (Custom Identity, Custom Trust). The incorrect keystore that is being loaded is the default "demo" provided by the JRE. From the perspective of an app running on the server: You can do what you did on the command line or by setting them in the app via System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore", trustPath) You can also se

Migrated to logback on weblogic, but is not logging
As you have mentioned above, logger factory returns instance of log4j not logback. That means that you still have log4j on classpath. It could be directly provided and left there by mistake, or it comes as dependency to libraries you are using. If you are using maven, try to investigate EFFECTIVE POM for log4j existatnce, and exclude them. Otherwise you have to do it manually. If you will find that dependency, deleting it should do the trick. The jar you should look for is probably slf4j bridge log4j-over-slf4j. jcl-over-slf4j could be related too.

Run/Emulate Tomcat Server in Weblogic
Even if WebLogic (or any servlet container) said that it could emulate Tomcat (or any other Servlet container), I wouldn't trust it, at all. Tomcat varies slightly from micro-version to micro-version and of course also behaves slightly differently depending on what OS (and OS version) and JVM version it's running under, and what config. The devil is in the details when switching from one Servlet container to another, and it's the details that are probably giving you the trouble in the first place. And after all, Tomcat and WL already both "emulate" (so to speak) the current Servlet spec. That's about all the "emulation" you can expect, which is why I'd say, pretty confidently, that what you're looking for isn't possible.
