ASP.Net label control re-appears after JQuery .hide() method call
It seems like your Page is getting postback. When you click the button first the javascript method gets executed and then the the page get postbacks. This can happen even if you haven't written any Server side handler for that button. Try this: $(document).ready(function () { $("#<%= btnTest.ClientID %>").click(function () { $("#<%= lblTest.ClientID %>").css('display','none'); //i also tried .hide() return false; }); });

C# Xml why doesn't my attribute appears?
XmlSerializer is going to ignore Version because it doesn't have a set, so there is no way it can attempt to ever deserialize it. Perhaps instead: [XmlAttribute(AttributeName = "version")] public string Version {get;set;} public Request() { Version = "1.0"; } which will have the same effect overall (although will require an extra string field per-instance - although all of the "1.0" values will be the same actual string instance, via interning), but will allow you to capture properly the version of data you are deserializing. If you don't care about deserialization, then maybe just add a no-op set: [XmlAttribute(AttributeName = "version")] public string Version { get { return "1.0"; } set { } }

hide main form, start new form, switch between the two without closing second form
I think the best way to do this is to roll your own ApplicationContext. This allows you full control over the application lifetime without having it being tied to a specific Window. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157901.aspx for more information. Here's an example: static class Program { [STAThread] static void Main() { Application.EnableVisualStyles(); Application.SetCompatibleTextRenderingDefault(false); Application.Run(new MyApplicationContext()); } } public class MyApplicationContext : ApplicationContext { public MyApplicationContext() { ShowForm1(); } public void ShowForm1() { if (_form2 != null) _form2.Hide(); if (_form1 == null) { _form1 = new Form1(

Collection persists but doesn't appears in other side
Keeping both sides of the relationship consistent is responsibility of application code, not the responsibility of Hibernate. In JPA 2.0 specification this is told with following words: Note that it is the application that bears responsibility for maintaining the consistency of run- time relationships—for example, for insuring that the “one” and the “many” sides of a bidirectional relationship are consistent with one another when the application updates the relationship at runtime.

Can I use NotifyIcon in WPF?
NotifyIcon is not implemented in WPF as it is in Forms, but you can still use the Windows Form NofityIcon, it resides in the System.Windows.Forms namspace. Take a look at these tutorials, they might cover your needs: Simple solution, directly using NotifyIcon: http://www.abhisheksur.com/2012/08/notifyicon-with-wpf-applications.html More advanced solution, new library based on NotifyIcon with more features: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/36468/WPF-NotifyIcon More info about NotifyIcon can be found here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.notifyicon.aspx

After a quick look, if looks like that form element is emitted inside an IF statement. Can you try taking it out? I am not sure exactly when you would or would not need to output the form tag, but that might be what is preventing it. EDIT--it looks like you are naming the form "teste", the second form is not named. Trying taking the form name out--maybe it doesn't like them being named the same thing.

UIView animation stops when view disappears, doesn't resume when it re-appears
I'm not sure what you're doing with that notification. I've done lots of animations with constraints and never had to do that. I think the problem is that when you leave the view, the constraint's constant value will be 15 (I've verified that with logs in viewWillDisappear), so the animation to set it to 15 will do nothing. In a test app, I set the constant back to its starting value (0) in viewWillAppear, and it worked fine: -(void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillAppear:animated]; self.bottomCon.constant = 0; [self.view layoutIfNeeded]; } -(void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewDidAppear:animated]; [UIView animateWithDuration:1 delay:0.0f options:UIViewAnimationOptionRepeat | UIViewAnimationOptionAutoreverse animations:^{ self.bottom

NotifyIcon hides app from taskbar. How to avoid that?
Well, Its not possible to show forms in taskbar which is in hidden state. Still you can forcefully minimized the form. try below modified code : private void MainWindow_OnStateChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (WindowState != WindowState.Minimized) return; this.ShowInTaskbar = true; if (notifyIcon != null) notifyIcon.ShowBalloonTip(2000); this.WindowState = FormWindowState.Minimized; }

Open new form and hide this form in mvvm light toolkit
It is Useful answer. http://stackoverflow.com/a/16994523/970404 Concepts: Registering Multiple VM's with the SimpleIoC and using GetInstance(...) to request them out. Messenger class usage with a custom message type OpenWindowMessage Opening Modal / Non Modal Windows from a parent VM staying true to the MVVM principles Passing data between windows(just shown in NonModal) Important Note: The method used in this example to set the non DP DialogResult from the modal window is not MVVM friendly cos it uses code-behind to set the DialogResult property on a Window.Closing event which should be avoided(If needing to be "testable"). My preferred approach is a bit long and is very well documented HERE(Mixture of question and answer). Hence why I ignored it for the sake of this sample.

Red border still appears on inputs after resetting an HTML 5 form Firefox
Mozilla Firefox applies a pseudo class :-moz-ui-invalid to any invalid form control. If the form was never submitted or if all form input controls are valid when the form's submit() method is invoked then invoking the form's reset() method will cause the pseudo class to be removed from the input controls. However, if any of the form's input controls are invalid when the form is submitted then the pseudo class will always be applied invalid input controls even after the form has been reset. For full documentation and to download the commented javascript file go to: http://www.syn-to.com/moz-ui-invalid.php var form; (function() { "use strict"; //name must be a valid form name eg. <form name="myFormName" ... form = function(name) { var a = {

Promoting a NotifyIcon from overflow area without showing a balloon tip
This is not possible. A significant problem with the notification area is that every programmer thinks that his app is important enough to be next to the clock. Modesty is not a programmer's trait and that's a good thing. The user however sets different priorities. He's liable to run more than three apps that all think they should have the exalted location. This got really out of hand, I've seen screenshots of Win98 machines where 75% of the taskbar was covered with Important Programs. This was not sustainable and Microsoft did something about it. They added the overflow area to provide a home for notification icons that the user doesn't think are all that important. Being a computer user myself, it is very quickly populated with whatever shovelware icons come with a new machine I

Can I hide the element if it doesn't fit the available width using css only?
What you will need to do is basically call a css file when the screen size is too small or too large in order to hide/show things that won't fit into the screen. <link rel='stylesheet' media='screen and (min-width: 701px) and (max-width: 900px)' href='css/medium.css' />

Using CSS to hide text that doesn't fit vertically
The only thing I know of is a -webkit-line-clamp. There may be other solutions for other browsers. You can also take a look at: http://css-tricks.com/line-clampin/ I would avoid that however and set the height to 2 lines of text if you can. So if the line-height is 15px, set the height to 30px for 2 lines, provided there isn't any other margins or padding.

Form Validation doesn't happen and form submits
You cannot chain the .validate() method onto an event handler... $('.login-form').submit(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); }).validate({...}); Furthermore, there is no reason to declare a .submit() handler in the first place. The plugin automatically handles the submit event of the form that you bind it to. Simply do this instead... $('.login-form').validate({...});

how to hide links in repeater that doesn't have Extension?
You have 2 primary issues. First, your extension check will fail for files without an extension. Check for this: function getFileExtension(fileURL) { if(filename.indexOf('.') === -1){return "";} //check for no extension return filename.split('.').pop(); } Second, you are not checking any particular link. Use JQuery to find all of them, and hide them one at a time. Assuming your the links you are referring to are "resource-like": $.each($('.resource-like'),function(){ var fileExtension = getFileExtension(this.href); if (fileExtension == "" || fileExtension != "pdf") { $(this).addClass("hideLinke"); } });

Show/Hide doesn't work unless page is refreshed
this is no longer the link once you're inside the context of the success function. I saved off this and used it inside, that should do the trick. Also I'm not sure that the find is actually going to work. Based on your example I'm not sure that #toggle elements are actualy nested within .delete_icon. If they aren't you might want to do $('#toggle'+ID) rather than using find. It's an ID selector anyway so it wouldn't be affecting performance. $(function(){ $('.delete_icon').on("click",function() { var ID = $(this).attr("id"), dataString = 'image_id='+ ID, $this = $(this); if( confirm("Are you sure you want to remove this image ?") ) { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "delete.php", data: dataString, cache: false, success

How to make a form hide
You can hide thing in two ways (and probably many others, but let's focus in two): 1.-css property visibility: you can use : style="visibility:hidden" and the element "disappears" (but still using space, so may see a "empty" space) (to make the element visible use visibility:visible) 2.-css property display: you can use : display:none : the element disappears as well but wont use any space (to make it visible change to other kind for display for example: display:block) You can make this element by element or put all groups of elements in a div an use this properties in the div. To change a css property dynamically check this link.. http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_htmldom_css.asp I also think that you should use jQuery for this kind a of things, it make it a little bit more eas

to hide variable in form of php
If you want a value to be secret, don't let it leave the server to begin with. Store secret values on the server only and give the client some token that lets him refer to the value without actually giving the value itself away. The classic and most used example of this is a session, in which the user receives only a meaningless session id and all data associated with that session id is stored server side.
