Since you didn't specify what hosting platform you have or are contemplating (if any), there are several options, both hosted and host-it-yourself, including: Hosted services: Zoho Creator and Springbase that require that the provider hosts your converted database/application, and Converters that will create the hostable code and database for you to host yourself: Wavemaker, DBConvert

Disable project migration dialogue when opening a SharePoint 2010 project
I've found how to manage this. Update your .csproj file for SP 2010 project. Set <TargetOfficeVersion>15.0</TargetOfficeVersion> So now it will not ask you for migration anymore when opening in SP 2013 machine. But you will not be able to build the project on 2010 machine. So you can put following code to the .csproj.user file: <PropertyGroup> ... <TargetOfficeVersion>14.0</TargetOfficeVersion> </PropertyGroup> The revision control system(like SVN or Git) is usualy configured to ignore .csproj.user files. So if this file is not ignored by revision control system - add it to ignore list. That's it. Everyone who opens a project on a SP 2013 machine will not see a migration dialog. Everyone who needs to work on SP 2010 - just update the

A project migration to Codename One
To get the built source just right click the project select project properties and select the include sources checkbox (you will need to login with a paid account first for this to work). FYI if you are a pro account you can also just email a question and get a faster answer. You can use the native interfaces regardless to access these things in Android, but as you say this won't work for iOS. Most of these are already abstracted to some degree, Codename One has Storage, Database & FileSystem API's. Cryptography isn't included but there is a bouncy castle port (notice the cn1lib which solves the problems of jar's with native code). Codename One has builtin JSON, XML and CSV parsers. However, at this time it doesn't have anything equivalent in scope to Axis. One of the problems of the

Get project path from POCO migration Seed()
You should use System.Reflection.Assembly.GetEntryAssembly().Location Note that it will return the path of your process exe. You'll have to use System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(path) to get the path of the directory containing your process exe. For MSDN : GetCallingAssembly => The assembly of the method that invoked the currently executing method. GetExecutingAssembly => The assembly that contains the code that is currently executing. GetEntryAssembly => The assembly that is the process executable.

Migration to Spring project from JSP/Servlet/Portlets(Jetspeed) - application design
here's an attempt to answer your questions; separate webapps do make it easier to maintain and 'silo' the effect of changes as long as you've got good version control and release management cycles. my suggestion is to allow for a transitional migration by migrating one app at a time to a 'Spring-compliant' style rather than go for a 'big bang' approach. in terms of data-sharing, you'll need to think about a couple of things and whether or not you're treating each individual web app as 'service' (capable of sharing the information with not just the other web apps but future applications) or as a separate known/coupled web app. if you're going for the former, there's a wide variety of options from RESTful services and messaging services. if you're going for the latter, then you're look

If you don't have Visual Studio installed at all, then you definitely need the answer at http://stackoverflow.com/a/18779641/530967. Basically you have to install some version of Visual Studio 2010 (Express version is free), then the Windows SDK, then VS SP1, then a VC++ compiler update, all in that order. After that this problem should disappear (as it did for me.)

Update-Database fails due to Pending Changes, but Add-Migration Creates a Duplicate Migration
I see this all the time also. I don't know why, wish i did, but my solution is to do a add-migration which will make a duplicate. Now this duplicate opens in the editor and then i edit it, so that the Up and Down methods are empty. So the result is a migration file that does nothing! VS is happy and you can do the update-database without errors (until next time). I hope this helps :)

Running One Massive Migration in Rails. Deleted Migration File by Mistake
You don't need to drop all your tables in prod. Instead, create the big migration file you described, but then manually record it as applied in prod. After all, the point of a migration is to apply changes to the DB. In your case that's only needed outside of your production environment. Manually recording the migration is as simple as inserting the migration timestamp into the schema_migrations table: mysql> select * from schema_migrations; +----------------+ | version | +----------------+ | 20120504193548 | | 20120508160150 | | 20120518135330 | | 20120523163509 | ... So just execute the appropriate INSERT and rails will ignore the migration. PS - In the future, use source control so you can just simply restore the file from a prior version!

Possible EF6 beta 1 Migration bug. Codefirst migration deadlock
Try explicitly specifying the migrations with Update-Database one at a time. If that doesn't work, try applying the InitialCreate by itself, then re-creating/Adding the ChangePegawaiToTPT. Be sure to have a backup copy first... There are some cases where many-to-many relationships are being named differently in rc1 than in the beta, which causes some headaches.

Microsoft's cryptoAPI "Microsoft Enhanced RSA and AES Cryptographic Provider" selection doesn't working on win7
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you need but by following the example on MSDN, you can make your code succeed by making two changes. First, MSDN says that MS_ENH_RSA_AES_PROV was named differently on Windows XP and should be used with a provider type of PROV_RSA_AES rather than PROV_RSA_FULL as in your code. Second, trap the initial error and repeat the acquire operation for the situation where you have to create a new key container. The following is your original code adapted according to the MSDN example, and works fine on my Windows 8 system: int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) { // Handle for the cryptographic provider context. HCRYPTPROV hCryptProv; // The name of the container. LPCTSTR pszContainerName = TEXT("MyFilter_Container"); // Begin processing.

Database Migration Error: Sqlite3 to Postgres Migration error
Basically - a dump from a DBMS is not supposed to work to another DBMS. Sometimes, it might work, but that's an exception. Generally, DBMSs have standard SQL for manipulating data, but they don't share the same language for creating and organizing data. There is no PRAGMA instruction in PostgreSQL. Check the following link: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.1/static/plpgsql-porting.html#CO.PLPGSQL-PORTING-PRAGMA

Here is code for active window: appWRD.ActiveWindow.View.SplitSpecial = Word.WdSpecialPane.wdPaneRevisionsVert; where: appWRD is Word.Application in my code. Ad 1 again. How did my Xcode project get changed from iOS project to an OSX project?
By your comment you should not have an issue navigating this. Go to your Project (in upper left) -> Project (project name in submenu) -> Build Settings -> under Architectures menu select Base SDK and choose iOS 6.1. This should switch your project back. Now under Info you should see your Deployment Target options have switched from saying OS X Development Target to iOS Development Target As for why it originally changed, I have no idea. But hopefully this will fix your issue.

Migration from one ORM to another
It depends on what's your definition of 'problem'. ORM frameworks provides facility to map database information (relational data) into OOP object. Variation exists between ORM frameworks as to what DBMS they support, default naming rule when mapping table/column name to class/field, update cascading, transaction management, cache management, SQL translation etc. You can keep your database schema and map it using different ORM, above is just some problem you might / not encounter along the way

How does ASP MVC 4 know which db migration you're on?
To answer the question in the title, because there's a sys table __MigrationHistory which tells EF that there is a difference in your tables vs what the database has. As far as how to do it (from package manager console): Enable-Migrations In the configuration class set AutomaticMigrations = false; Set your Database.SetInitializer<Context>(null) so it doesn't DropCreate or Update AddMigration <name> to queue any pending changes to a change model Update-Database will call the MigrationName.Up method to alter the database with any changes (sans losing data).

SQL to BigData Migration?
I'll share some of my experience. First of all I would analyze whether Hadoop fits into my requirements or not. Hadoop is not a replacement for traditional RDBMSs. It is meant for totally different purpose which is offline batch processing unlike RDBMSs which are used for real time queries. So, if you have real time needs you better think again. In such a case you would require something like HBase. The first link which you have shown here is about Hive. Hive is a data warehouse which runs on top of an existing Hadoop cluster. Along with that it also provides you an SQL like interface which makes it easier for you to query in an easier and convenient manner, in case you are coming from SQL background. Hive stores the data as Hive tables on top of HDFS(the Hadoop file system). But again Hi

Java to C migration
C is not object oriented, so there is no classes. You will have to convert your Java classes into working procedural functions, and use of the struct type will help you to encapsulate your class variables. You might try C++ since you could most likely port most of your Java class objects to C++ with little effort. If you do decide to use C++, you can also learn the std, & boost libraries which will support most of the functionality that you will find in your Java APIs. If you plan to recreate the GUI I'd suggest you look into cross platform GUI APIs, something like GTK+ which will work with both C and C++, or Qt which is a C++ API and has its own IDE which is very nice. Otherwise, you will have to learn the Windows/Unix/Mac/etc APIs in order to make your own GUIs. Hope this helps,

--dry-run Execute the migration as a dry run
Dry run in the context of an console command means to run all actions for gathering informations, you get all verbose output, which will be executed, but nothing is really executed. So you can see, what the command will do, but can be safe, your database won't be modified.

Do undo for a migration
I think your best bet is to write a new migration that performs the undo and push that. As I'm gathering, migrations are about changing an existing database, rather than creating a new one - this is why you have the changes in two places - migrations, and db/schema.rb - and some people actually suggest removing old migrations.

Migration from getCmp
The right syntax to replace Ext.getCmp is: Ext.ComponentQuery.query('#myitemId')[0]. That said, simply replacing Ext.getCmp with Ext.ComponentQuery.query will not improve your code. In fact it will make it slower, because Ext.getCmp makes simple and fast hash lookups while Ext.ComponentQuery.query does Component tree traversal every time. You should reconsider the whole approach. Looking up Components by id is not bad per se but it will make your code harder to maintain in the long run.

Don't run migrations on a new database server. Instead run syncdb and make your existing migrations faked via migrate --fake. syncdb will create your current models structure in the database.
