External links in phonegap app do not open well
I would start by asking : in the file config.xml the preference stay-in-webview is deprecated now for phonegap 2.3.0 right? So nothing to hope here? That's correct. Dont even worry about this setting if you are using 2.9 I read and try a lot about the plugin InAppBrowser with window.open and target system / blank / self but no differences for me. I stay InApp but useless because no navigation buttons. Am I missing something here? I had a few issues getting this to work as well. Their documentation is a bit scattered and need to read it all. Here is how I get it working: Ensure you have <script src="phonegap.js"></script> in each of your pages that wants to use the inappbrowser You should NOT need to include a plug-in tag in your config.xml. I am pretty sure that a

Open external links in the browser with android webview
The problem is you need to send an Intent to the default web browser to open the link. What you are doing is just calling a different method in your Webview to handle the link. Whenever you want another app to handle something you need to use Intents. Try this code instead. private class CustomWebViewClient extends WebViewClient { @Override public boolean shouldOverrideUrlLoading(WebView view, String url) { if(url.contains("message2space.es.vu")) { view.loadUrl(url); } else { Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(url)); startActivity(i); } return true; } }

Phonegap 2.9.0 doesn't open external links in default browser
I also encountered this problem. Seems most answered are exactly opposite to the question, people usually answer how to open in inAppBrowser, I don't know why. Just like you I tried various of methods but no one work. Finally I have to turn to native way. Fortunately, native way took my only around no more than 10 minutes that is much shorter than try people's phonegap answers. In Android, add the line in onCreate method to bind object to webpage's window object. add a method on your binded object which accept a url string and behave open browser behavior. @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); super.appView.addJavascriptInterface(this, "nativeInterface"); } public void openInDeviceBrowser(String url) { Intent i =

Android - Open target _blank links in WebView with external browser
I also have the same problem and now I've found the solution. You also need to use WebChromeClient.You can see this and this . And you can set a WebViewClient to the new WebView and override the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method, then you can get the url and do whatever you want here. If you don't set the WebViewClient, I think it should works too. In my case I want to get the url so I set a WebViewClient to the new WebView. By the way, if you remove the old webview then when you come back form the browser,the webview is blank. So I retained the webview and added a new one but set the visibility to "gone".

Handling Subversion external links inside other external links
Ok so this was not a clever question. We found that you can actually set two externals on the same base root directory, just with a different local paths. So in Tortoise SVN, you can add two externals with different but nested paths on the same root directory. I haven't done this with the command line but it should be possible as well. After this the properties are: externs$ svn propget svn:externals . http://test.example.com/project/library1/trunk library1 http://test.example.com/project/library2/trunk library1/library2

In the above code, the eachThen() block is nested inside of a casper.then block in order to delay its execution.

External Safari link or UIWebview?
I guess this might be the reason (Not sure): If you refer App Store Review Guidelines, in that 2.12 says: Apps that are not very useful, unique, are simply web sites bundled as Apps, or do not provide any lasting entertainment value may be rejected. So instead of opening that into Safari, try using a separate UIViewController with UIWebView in that. And open your pdf web link over there inside the application itself. Do not redirect user to Safari browser unnecessarily. As per Apple report provided by you and Review Guidelines, I guess this might be the cause of rejection. To make sure, you can comment over the mail which you have got with app rejection notification. And ask to Apple itself regarding the issue and solution as well. They normally do reply.

Meteor integration with external services
You're looking for a way to use npm modules. There are a couple ways to do this: Use the NPM smart package Package it up yourself The first one is preferable, but if you've forked it and changed some stuff, you might want to go with the second one. You will quite likely run into async issues when using Meteor with other external services, so you might find this Meteor Async Guide helpful.

WebView and external links
It is WebControl, and not WebView. You can navigate to a URI using the Navigate method. See more on MSDN. EDIT: For opening a link in external (built-in) browser, use [WebBrowserTask][2]. Use it like this: var task = new WebBrowserTask { task.Uri = new Uri(...) } task.Show(); You can capture outgoing link navigation via the [WebBrowser.Navigating][3] event. Simply cancel the current navigation and call the task from above.

Using external scripts in Meteor executed from "script src"
I'd go to that url, get that script, and save it in a file in your project. However, there wasn't anything actually at that url when I just checked it out. That would definitely be a problem too :) EDIT: You can also stick in the head tag. EDIT 2: if you want it to display in a template, like if it's a widget such as yours, you can insert it manually every time the template re-renders. It's pretty simple, actually. First we've got the template code: Template.myWidget.rendered = function () { $('#my-widget').html('<script src="src-here.js"></script'); } And then the actual template: <template name="myWidget"> <div id="my-widget">Loading...</div> </template> Finally, wherever you want the widget to appear in your html, just insert {{>myWidg

Meteor loading external scripts conditionally
your code is loading the scripts multiple times - each time the template is rendered (this almost always happens many times even for simple pages) - you are injecting the same code over and over which is likely causing the errors i'm not sure i would engage in this patten - based on how meteor works even with multi-page apps using meteor-router (the page never reloads) you should just include your javascript files in your app directory and have them already loaded via 1 combined and minified javascript file - you may need to place your files in the client/compatibility directory to circumvent any scoping issues see https://github.com/meteor/meteor/blob/master/History.md if your files are truly already inside your app directory, they are already loaded and this is not needed at all - by

How can I style external links like Wikipedia?
demo Basics Using :after we can inject content after each matched selector. The first selector matches any href attribute starting with //. This is for links that keep the same protocol (http or https) as the current page. a[href^="//"]:after, These are the traditionally more common urls, like http://google.com and https://encrypted.google.com a[href^="http://"]:after, a[href^="https://"]:after { We can then pass a url to the content attribute to display the image after the link. The margin can be customized to fit the content: url(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/Icon_External_Link.png); margin: 0 0 0 5px; } Allow certain domains as local Let's say we're on example.org and we want to mark links to blog.example.org as on the same domain for this purp

Something like this www.yourwebsite/detectapp 2) Your detectapp page will have a javascript- var appstoreFail = "www.your_redirect_website.com"; //Check is device is iOS var iOS = (navigator.userAgent.match(/(iPad|iPhone|iPod)/g) ? true : false ); var appUrlScheme = "xyz_app://"; if (iOS) { //If the app is not installed the script will wait for 2sec and redirect to web. var loadedAt = +new Date; setTimeout( function(){ if (+new Date -

Alter the accounts-base package with the file accounts-server.js to create a 'hook' when the user logs in at Meteor.methods({ login: function(options) { ..... if (result !== null) //Run here this.setUserId(result.id); return result; }, }); Then at the //Run Here add a function that connects to facebook and gets the data you need. Adding _blank targets to external links
The easiest way is to use parse_url function. For me it should look like this: <?php $link = $_GET['link']; $urlp = parse_url($link); $target = '_self'; if (isset($urlp['host']) && $urlp['host'] != $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) { if (preg_replace('#^(www.)(.*)#D','$2',$urlp['host']) != $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] && preg_replace('#^(www.)(.*)#D','$2',$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) != $urlp['host']) $target = '_blank'; } $anchor = 'LINK'; // creating html code echo $target.'<br>'; echo '<a href="' . $link . '" target="' . $target . '">' . $link . '</a>'; In this code I use $_GET['link'] variable, but you should use your own link from as a value of $link. Why does the safari app gets launched when I open apple script?
In general, applescript must launch an application to learn what commands it understands. Over time applescript has gotten better at not launching applications for this task, but some apps still get launched. iPhoto is one I notice gets launched when I open applescripts that use it. As such it's not something you can avoid. However, in your case there may be a fix. The "open location" command is a generic applescript command. You do not need to tell Safari to execute that command. Therefore you can probably change your script to this and avoid the launching issue. The open location command should just open the link in your default browser which I assume in your case is Safari. It should also automatically activate it for you. Good luck. open location "http://www.google.com"

Regex for external links: how to make an exception for my own link?
You can add a negative lookahead (?!..) It is only to illustrate how to exclude your domain.

How to not let Emacs Org mode convert specific external links while publishing?
Use the org-add-link-type function. Put the following in your .emacs (require 'org) (org-add-link-type "evernote" nil '(lambda (path desc frmt) (format "<a href="evernote:%s">%s</a>" path desc))) org-add-link-type takes three parameters, which is the name of a link identifier tag (in this case "evernote"), a link-follow function and a link-export function. In this case we only worry about the export, so we only provide the latter function as a lambda. It takes the properties of the link defined and exports an html string. Improvements that could be made include Provide the link-follow function, which would allow you to "click" the links in emacs. Create export types for other than html. The frmt parameter holds the value of the type of export being performed, but in

Joomla 2.5 : External URL links to internal pages not working on server subfolder
The beginning forward slash means start at document root, so it basically says to strip all "folders" down to the root domain (which on your dev system means just the IP address). One option is to use the base tag to set up relative links for the external url menu type. You could add this to your template file's index.php just after the <head> declaration: <base href="<?php echo JURI::root(); ?>" /> This can introduce a host of issues with relative links though, so you may want to weigh the issues with that here: Is it recommended to use the <base> html tag? The second option would be to try it with index.php at the start, so make the url index.php/contact-us. I believe that this will be routed properly as an internal link. This will cause an issue if you go l
