Switched exchange servers, kept the same e-mail but some incoming mail is still going to the old server
I'm assuming that you changed the MX records for your domain, so that they now point to Microsoft 365's mail servers, correct? If so, it may take a day or two for the DNS changes to propagate.

Unable to get emails sent by PHP mail function because of another mail server
The first thing to establish is how you are sending emails (sendmail or SMTP). Then, whether your emails are a) not sent at all or b) getting rejected by the destination mail server. I'd check all available logs (source and destination mail servers and daemons). See if mail() itself is erroring. Try using sendmail/smtp directly. If its the destination server rejecting the mail based on its spam score, try setting SPF records to enable the web server to send mail legally.

What is the point of adding "IP domain.tld" to the ( /etc/hosts ) file if the server is not gonna be used as a mail server?
/etc/hosts file is an alternative to DNS host name resolution. It has nothing specifically to do with mail servers. But, to use a mail server it has to be found on the network. /etc/hosts is a local lookup file that computer uses as specified in /etc/nsswitch.conf. DNS is a network service provided for each domain. For example, BIND. Domain zone files are configured and hosted on the domains primary DNS servers. You can configure domain searches in /etc/resolv.conf.

How to send emails from my server with a mail server and nodejs
I just had to do this as well, but I am running my node server on an Azure virtual Ubuntu Linux server. I imagine the same steps would work from your home server if you're running Ubuntu. Here is what I found worked: I installed the postfix email server using this guide: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Postfix It looked like a lot of work at first, but it worked for me pretty easily. I found the easiest way to send the outgoing email from node.js was to use emailjs: http://github.com/eleith/emailjs.git I found that emails sent often end up being marked as spam. To help avoid this, you can go to wherever you manage your domain name (I use enom) and then configure an SPF record to help make your outgoing email look legit. Here is my node.js module to send emails using emailjs:

Data migration from SQL Server to Oracle
ODBC is mapping SQL Server column to Oracle's LONG data type. It is not that easy to handle it. The best way is to use DBMS_SQL package. Here you can find useful notes: http://ellebaek.wordpress.com/2010/12/06/converting-a-long-column-to-a-clob-on-the-fly/

Data Migration from SQL Server to mongodb Using C#
I am not sure what you are asking about. Do you mean that you want to have different names for the properties in the mongo documents from the column names in the sql tables? If this is what you want then I don't know how this could be made automatically. Just add a dictionary that will map the sql column names with the mongo properties names: // ... Dictionary<string, string> _mapping = new Dictionay<string, string>(); _mappaing.Add("columnA", "propertyA"); // and so on // ... try { foreach (DataRow dr in dt.Rows) { BsonDocument bson = new BsonDocument(); for (int i = 0; i < dr.ItemArray.Count(); i++) { // here use the mapped name instead of the colmn name bson.Add(_mapping[dr.Table.Columns[i].ColumnName], dr[i].T

E-mail app/filter that copies E-mail from the body of the letter and auto replies to that e-mail
I would suggest checking out Google Apps Script. You can create a script just like you would create any other Google Document in Drive by adding the Scripts module from the app store (Scripts is free and created by google). You can also use the gmail API to do the same thing. Both are very well documented and provide a surprisingly high level of access to your emails and their content.

Why I send a mail with PHP, but receiver get a mail with attachment named "mail.html"?
Did you use any headers? $headers = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . " "; $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . " "; // Mail it mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers); Don't use foxmail so no clue if it works...but if you didn't send headers it's worth a try.

PHP "failed to open stream" after migration from one server to another, others are Deprecated, why?
It sounds to me that the php.ini file just has different options selected on the new server. For instance, you can hide the deprecated warnings in the errors section of php.ini. If those warnings were set to be hidden on your old server, and set to be displayed on your new server then this is why you are seeing them all of a sudden. I doubly very much the minor version upgrade of PHP will be a problem. It's still 5.3 after all. The PHP config is almost certainly the cause of the issues. The best thing to do would be to do a file compare from both the old and new php.ini files if you have access. Alternatively, you can set most php.ini options at runtime in your code if you need to.

Update-Database fails due to Pending Changes, but Add-Migration Creates a Duplicate Migration
I see this all the time also. I don't know why, wish i did, but my solution is to do a add-migration which will make a duplicate. Now this duplicate opens in the editor and then i edit it, so that the Up and Down methods are empty. So the result is a migration file that does nothing! VS is happy and you can do the update-database without errors (until next time). I hope this helps :)

Running One Massive Migration in Rails. Deleted Migration File by Mistake
You don't need to drop all your tables in prod. Instead, create the big migration file you described, but then manually record it as applied in prod. After all, the point of a migration is to apply changes to the DB. In your case that's only needed outside of your production environment. Manually recording the migration is as simple as inserting the migration timestamp into the schema_migrations table: mysql> select * from schema_migrations; +----------------+ | version | +----------------+ | 20120504193548 | | 20120508160150 | | 20120518135330 | | 20120523163509 | ... So just execute the appropriate INSERT and rails will ignore the migration. PS - In the future, use source control so you can just simply restore the file from a prior version!

PHP + mail server
On most cPanel hosts, you can set a forwarder to forward an email to a script when it is received. As long as your email is managed on the same cPanel account, it will work great ... When you create the forwarder, you will set the forward to address as |/home/username/path/to/script.php Then the first thing you need to do in the script is receive the email from stdin: //Receive the email from stdin ... $fd = fopen("php://stdin","r"); $data = ''; while(!feof($fd)){ $data .= fread($fd,1024); } fclose($fd); //process email data ... I've done this on a number of cPanel hosts with great success.

Possible EF6 beta 1 Migration bug. Codefirst migration deadlock
Try explicitly specifying the migrations with Update-Database one at a time. If that doesn't work, try applying the InitialCreate by itself, then re-creating/Adding the ChangePegawaiToTPT. Be sure to have a backup copy first... There are some cases where many-to-many relationships are being named differently in rc1 than in the beta, which causes some headaches.

How to setup a mail server?
Install and configure an SMTP server. SMTP servers can usually be configured quite extensively, what to do with mails that should be deliverd locally. One such option would be to deliver the mail locally by invoking a ruby script. Popular SMTP servers are postfix, courier and qmail. The details about how to setup the mail server depends on which one you use.

A simple mail server in C++
POP3 is a protocol (read RFC 1939), so you have to implement it in order use it. After connecting, the other side won't send you anything until you send the greeting message ("+OK your message here"). After that, you must establish a POP "conversation" with the remote client. Also, POP is used for retrieving messages from a server, so a client will connect to your proccess and try to download messages. You have to implement the SMTP protocol (read RFC 5321) in order to receive messages sent to you. SMTP is also a protocol, so you must implement it if you want the other side to send you the data.

Not able to search the email server with searchTerm using Mail API
Since you're using pop3, all the searching is done by downloading all the messages to the client and searching them there. If you want the server to do the searching, use imap. If the new message arrives while you have the pop3 folder open, you won't be able to see it. You need to close the folder and reopen it. That's a limitation of the pop3 protocol. If none of that helps with your problem, I would need to know exactly which search term you're using, exactly what value you're searching for, and exactly what value appears in the email header.

Kinda-mass emailing from Rails, but with own mail server
You should decouple your Rails App from the mail sending so that you don't have to wait in your view for the mails to be sent (assuming that you click on something that triggers the start of your mail sending). Use something like delayed_job or another queueing mechanism that Rails offers and only queue up the sending job of the e-mails. Then when the queue comes to execute the particular job you can customize the message with an HTML part and a text part or whatever else you need and pass them on individually to your MTA.

php website mail form not getting to exchange server recipient -
Most hosted Exchange providers include filters that will check for SPF records—or MX records at a minimum—for the domain with which the sender address is associated. Since there is most likely neither an SPF nor a MX record for www.[your-domain].com (because of the "www."), the hosted Exchange provider's SPAM blocker is marking the message as SPAM because it cannot verify that the IP address from which the message is coming is actually, legitimately associated with www.[your-domain].com—or, alternately (and perhaps more likely), that www.[your-domain].com has no MX or SPF records associated with it and thus the server assumes the message must be junk (because why would a domain name not configured for email be sending email?). [your-domain].com might have those records, but that do
