WPF Page Anchor Links
A "possible" solution is to use FrameworkElement.BringIntoView which attempts to bring the target element into view, within any scrollable regions it is contained within.

Using jQuery mCustomScrollbar and links to anchor
Actually the plugin have a lot of crazy issues! that make me drop it!; i just customize my self scroll bar and delete this plugin from my project for same reason. But i fixed the scroll to anchor by using this solution: $(document).ready(function() { $("a").click(function() { if($(this).attr('href') == "#top"){ //this bit is for wordpress, where top is default: .entry-title var elID=".entry-title"; $(".jsoverflow").mCustomScrollbar("scrollTo",elID); }else{ if ($(this).attr('href').indexOf("#") >= 0){ //this bit is for any other anchor $(".jsoverflow").mCustomScrollbar("scrollTo",$(this).attr('href')); } } }); }); It's worked for me 100% and i get it from Get-Hub.

Wordpress Anchor links adjust margin for fixed header
Are you willing to use some jQuery? http://imakewebthings.com/jquery-waypoints/shortcuts/sticky-elements/ When setting up my own fixed header I ended up using this technique. Mainly for 2 reasons: 1) iOS support. position:fixed support is not really there on iOS devices. 2) You can specify offsets to counter exactly the problem you are having. If you don't want to use jQuery. The CSS only solution is to assign a class to your anchor links. <a class="offset"></a> a.offset{ display: block; position: relative; top: -125px; //at least the negative height of your header visibility: hidden; }

Capture Anchor links/route with Node Express and Passport
You can use the app.param for this explained here The following is some code. The req.params.id captures 'id'. app.param('id', /^d+$/); app.get('/user/:id', function(req, res){ res.send('user ' + req.params.id); }); Using Angular-ui-router, I'm sure you can solve the above purpose: The var myApp = angular.module('myApp', ['ui.router']); myApp.config(function($stateProvider, $urlRouterProvider) { // Now set up the states $stateProvider .state('/', { url: "/", templateUrl: "partials/loginQuestion" }) The express router would include something like: app.get('/partials/:name', function (req, res) { var name = req.params.name; console.log(name); res.render('partials/' + name); });

How do I anchor my html index?
Unless you have an anchor in the URL like www.yourdomain.com/#middleofpage, you will need to do this in javascript: Check out the scrollTo function. <script type="text/javascript"> window.scrollTo( x-coord, y-coord ) </script> If you want 50% down the page, you could calculate like: <script type="text/javascript"> var pageSize = (document.body.scrollHeight - document.body.clientHeight); window.scrollTo(0,Math.ceil(pageSize/2); </script>

How do I change the index page in a CodeIgniter anchor?
You don't need to do that way. you should make or use an authentication library and you set different roles for different users. you just after login can put the redirection to your admin controller. and for other users and viewers you can redirect them to any other controllers. for viewers you can just use something like this: Code: if(!$this->m_auth->is_logged_in()) { $this->viewers(); } else { $this->users(); } In your users function you just check different roles and redirect according.

Browsers Don't Display "Cruftless" links (no index.html for local web dev.)
The meaning of file: URLs is, by definition, system-dependent. Normally browsers map them to files in the file system in a relatively straightforward manner. Thus, a link with href value like file:///JOBS/ABC/About/ may or may not work, depending on system. It may fail, or it may open a generated document containing a directory (folder) listing, or it might do something else. There is normally no need to get around this, and it is pointless to worry about SEO when dealing with local files. This could, however, matter during site development when you work with a site locally (and perhaps test and demonstrate it locally). Then you might wish to have, say, <a href="About/">About us</a> so that it works locally as well as on a server, yielding About/index.html in both cases but

Rails 3.2.13 link_to post request doesn't work links to the index page instead
It's confusing, you should take things one by one. First, I don't understand why you add this tag <%= javascript_include_tag :defaults %>. Normally you should have in you layout/application.html.rb file a line that look like this <%= javascript_include_tag :application %>. This line is the inclusion of your JS manifest and in a default configuration it should be enough. You can read more about assets pipeline and JS manifests in Rails guides (see links bellow) Second, about your link, I suggest this syntax instead: <%= link_to(line_items_path(product), :method => :post) do %> <%= image_tag(product.image_url) %> <% end %> As you can see I moved image_tag in a block, its much easier to read. Also line_items_path should work by passing directly the prod

Perl regex to capture text between two anchor words but ignore anchor word in comments
This one is a bit tricky. The idea is usually to distinguish all the possible things that you do want to match, put them in an alternation and repeat. So what do we want to match? a single-line comment: // to the end of the string, no matter what. a block-comment: /* until the next */, no matter what. anything else, as long as it doesn't start endmodule The last part can be accomplished by using a negative lookahead at every position in the repetition. So let's put that together: $content =~ m~ modules+whatever # marks the start of the module (?: # each instance of this alternation matches one kind of # module "token" //.*+ # match a single-line comment | # or /[*] # op

Javascript search through links
Because of same-origin policy and other challenges, this is not presently possible to do solely on the browser. However, there are server-side JavaScript projects using node.js that make this relatively straight-forward to do on a server or on your desktop (but not on your browser). Because it's nodejs, you can use the same kind of JavaScript (even jquery selectors) as you would in the browser. One nice example is node.io, although it's primarily built for use on Linux or OSX: https://github.com/chriso/node.io For a more WIndows-friendly approach, you could use nodejs along with Request (https://github.com/mikeal/request) and Cheerio, or else jsdom. There are a number of tutorials out there that use this approach (the first tutorial even extracts a list of URLs from a page): http://

Sort links with javascript?
You're sorting by whatever is between <li> and </li>, which includes the URLs, not just the names. So if the URLs don't sort similarly to the names, the results will be out of order. In your case, you're sorting by the ID numbers in the URLs. A simple way to solve this is to put the names in the anchor elements, e.g. <li><a data-name="Peter" href="tumblr.com/post/57781372261">Peter</a></li> <li><a data-name="Mary" href="tumblr.com/post/57783141055">Mary</a></li> <li><a data-name="Paul" href="tumblr.com/post/57781372261">Paul</a></li> Putting the data-name attribute before the href attribute should make it take precedence. How can I make Solr follow links while parsing a "Solr XML" file to index the results?
Your best bet (on pure Solr), would probably be a DataImportHandler with nested entities. The external processor would be XPathEntityProcessor and within that, you can put TikaEntityProcessor with appropriate data source. Use the variables to construct/pass URL to the inner entity. Remember to mark the outer (XPath) entity as rootEntity=false to ensure that Solr documents are created for the inner entities.
