JavaFX ExtensionFilter not working properly in ubuntu
Ubuntu and unix like systems are case sensitive. So it's filtering for "*.JPG" and maybe you have files with uppercase or lowercase extension. So the file won't match in the case of files with lowercase extension. In windows, there is no problem, because it isn't case sensitive, I mean, one.jpg it's the same that one.JPG. So to fix it add the extension in lowercase in the constructor of the ExtensionFilter. FileChooser.ExtensionFilter extFilterJPG = new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("JPG files (*.jpg)", "*.JPG", "*.jpg"); Hope it helps

Background image showing through picture with transparent background
Diagnosis: From what I understand based on your CSS, the opacity on #background-image is affecting the opacity of #logo. Solution 1: If it's possible, instead of a photo, consider using a background color for parent element with background-color: rgba(x,y,z,a) where the number a is responsible for opacity. Solution 2: If you want to use two images on top eachother with only parent element having an opacity, position absolute will help you to display them in seperate divs without any opacity problem.

javafx tablecolumn is not showing anything if all values are null?
You can use setCellFactory() and on the updateItem() methode, you check if item is null and if it's true you write "null" @Override public void updateItem(T item, boolean empty) { super.updateItem(item, empty); if (item == null || empty) { setText("null"); setGraphic(null); } else { //Things to do if it's not null } } check that for detail http://www.java2s.com/Code/Java/JavaFX/customcellfactory.htm but for display null just do what I say

Transparent accordion background in JavaFX
I solved the issue with css. JavaFX uses a file called caspian.css for its standard styling. An accordion module contains titled panes that consist of a title and a content area. To remove the background color of the content you need to overwrite the styleClass of the titled panes: .accordion .titled-pane > *.content { -fx-background-color: null; } You could also assign a custom styleClass to your titled panes or accordion if you don't want to overwrite the style application-wide. Hope this helps.

JavaFX ScrollPane border and background
I have found a solution and would liked to post it here so others won't need to waste their time find it again. By looking at the default css of JavaFx (caspian.css) which has been extracted from the library using this command. jar xf jfxrt.jar com/sun/javafx/scene/control/skin/caspian/caspian.css I could see that the one I missed is -fx-padding: 0; So this is the css class I'm using. .scroll-pane { -fx-background-insets: 0; -fx-padding: 0; } .scroll-pane:focused { -fx-background-insets: 0; } .scroll-pane .corner { -fx-background-insets: 0; }

maybe try to replace the opaque id android.R.id.content with your own layout id that you define in your activity xml file it can be an empty layout but you must give the layout an id, say: <LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:id="@+id/my_layout_id"> so now you get: .replace/add(R.id.my_layout_id, new fragact());

wxpython gui not showing properly
The problem is that you are using absolute positioning. Different OSes use different default sizes for things, such as fonts. Thus the default font size on Windows may be larger or smaller than the default font size on Linux. This is one of the many reasons why using absolute positioning cross-platform can kind of suck. You'll also see this sort of thing on Windows if you change themes or resolution or in Windows 7 when you adjust the size of text overall. This is why using sizers is so helpful. Sizers know what size the font is and what size the widgets should be and they do their best to prevent this sort of thing from happening. Here are a few articles to get you started: http://zetcode.com/wxpython/layout/ http://wiki.wxpython.org/UsingSizers http://www.blog.pythonlibrary.org/2008/0

Filter Listview Not Showing Up Properly
Try adding alert('')'s to various parts of your code, for example, within the $.each section, to determine where the duplication is happening. You can expect the alert to be triggered twice in the problematic area, possibly back-to-back, or once during two separate iterations. Then, once you figure out what section is causing the duplication, you can determine which event is responsible and modify your code accordingly.

Jquery class name not showing properly
The problem lies in the parts of your code that create new elements: var $wrapper_e = $("<div />", { className: "searchBar cb_selectWrapper" }); The object literal you pass to $() must be keyed by HTML attribute names, not DOM property names. className is a DOM property, and class is the related HTML attribute. You should write: var $wrapper_e = $("<div />", { "class": "searchBar cb_selectWrapper" });

Navigate to Page (WebBrowser) not showing properly
I believe it's a bug in WP8 but there are two workarounds. One way is to save the HTML file into the isolated storage and use the WebBrowser.Navigate() method to open the URI. You don't need to modify the HTML file if you use that method. The alternative is to remove the declaration at the top (<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC '-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN' 'http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd'><?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes'?>) so your string would be string f = "<html><head><meta http-equiv='Content-Type' content='text/html; charset=utf-8' ><script type='text/javascript'>function get_radio_value(test){ var elements = document.getElementsByName(test); for (var i=0; i < elements.length; i++){if (elements[i].checked){var rad_val

Map annotation not showing accessory view properly
The call to dequeueReusableAnnotationViewWithIdentifier: will at the first call return nil which will satisfy annotationView == nil and set up your annotation view. So all the following calls to dequeueReusableAnnotationViewWithIdentifier: will return the first created annotation view with the assigned avatar image. So [userAvatar setImageWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"https://graph.facebook.com/%@/picture?type=small",[[(MapAnnotation *)annotation user] facebookID]]] placeholderImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"user_placeholder"]]; is only called once. You need to move annotation specific changes to the annotation view outside the "if nil" setup scope. So you should instead set the userAvatar image each time the mapview ask for a annotationView. It looks like it's like it's because you've got those elements centering via an align="center" tag on the <form>, if you remove that and add text-align: center; to your form { styling (CSS) then it should display correctly for you (tested in FF, on a mac so can't test IE7 sorry) As an aside, I assume you're testing in Chrome, which is actually displaying it incorrectly, FF & IE7 will be displaying it correctly. The align tag is deprecated in favor of CSS. Deprecated tags. nbsp

i had the same problem with custom fonts on custom textViews. the graphical editor is quite buggy and lacks many features that work fine on real devices. this is one example of such a thing. in order to fix it , just don't load fonts when isInEditMode() returns true, and ignore how the text looks like. in fact, maybe the shadow feature also doesn't work well, so you might want to add it too.

Why are my background images not showing in ie8?
It's most likely due to the fact that your CSS isn't complete. Some browsers can tolerate such things, but it's generally better for wider cross browser support (and to avoid odd bugs) if you're a little more verbose. Instead of just: background: url("../img/soft_wallpaper.png"); make it: background: #ffffff url("../img/soft_wallpaper.png") no-repeat left top; This tells the browser where to put the background and wither or not to repeat it. It also provides a background color fallback in the off chance that the image isn't displayed.

Background image not showing IE8
CSS3 multiple background isn't supported by IE 8 and below. So the comma separated background value it's invalid thus will not work. And it does not work on IE9, even when it support multiple backgrounds (buggy but it does) because IE9 does NOT support CSS3 Gradient so again it makes entire declaration invalid. I suggest you use !important on the multiple background declarations but make a single background declaration as last in the line, so IE9 and below can display at least one of the BG's: background: url('/images/cartWhite.png') 18px 11px no-repeat, -ms-linear-gradient(top,#74c163,#1d7a09) !important; background: url('/images/cartWhite.png') 18px 11px no-repeat, -moz-linear-gradient(top,#74c163,#1d7a09) !important; background: url('/images/cartWhite.png') 18px 11px no-repeat, -webk
