How to change font size of address bar in Chrome programmatically
Generally, the font size of the address bar is determined by your OS's default font size. Read comments here: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=46472. So if you want to adjust it, change your OS default. If you build your own version of Chrome, you can change the look and feel of the browser, but you'll have to write different code for each platform you want to support. If you don't want to build your own version of Chrome, then on Windows, you can inject yourself into the Chrome process with SetWindowsHook or SetWindowsHookEx, find the window handle corresponding to the address bar, and then do anything you want to it. Similar idea on OSX. Not sure about Linux. This isn't a recommended approach; it's invasive and subject to breakage. As far as a Chrome API for an exte

Setting body { font-size: 100% } results in font-size: 12px; and not font-size: 16px; Why?
If you inspect the inline box using a browser’s Developer Tools (hit F12 to open them), you can see that its height is indeed 12px, as set in your code. This happens because there is nothing in it that would require more height; in general, the exact calculation of heights of inline blocks is browser-dependent. The font size of the text is still the browser default, typically 16px. The font size does not mean the height of any particular letter. It is just a fundamental property of the font; typographers usually design characters so that they - together with ascenders, descenders, and diacritic marks - fit into the limits set by the font size (or extend over them just a little), and normally most letters have smaller height.

Change font size of Canvas without knowing font family
Update: (from comments) There is no way around specifying font. The Canvas' font is modeled after the short-hand version of font in CSS. However, there is always a font set on the canvas (or a font type) so what you can do is to first extract the current font by using it like this: var cFont = ctx.font; Then replace size arguments and set it back (note that there might be a style parameter there as well). A simple split for the sake of example: var fontArgs = ctx.font.split(' '); var newSize = '12px'; ctx.font = newSize + ' ' + fontArgs[fontArgs.length - 1]; /// using the last part You will need support for style if needed (IIRC it comes first if used). Notice that font-size is fourth parameter, so this will not work if you will have/not have font-variant(bold,italic,oblique), font

Change the tag-it font size
It is in the color specifc css file, tagit-stylish-yellow.css for example. Look for ul.tagit { cursor: text; font-size: 14px; color: #333; } and change the font-size. I found this by going to the demo site in Chrome, start the inspector by pressing F12, selecting the tag and looking at the css directives that affect it.

You can change the size using HTML code, but I don't think it is possible to specify detailed sizes in dp with it. In your case I would use the tag <small> for the temperature: remoteViews.setTextColor(R.id.battery, Color.WHITE); String styledText = String.valueOf((int)batteryLevel) + "%" + "|" + "<small>" + temperatura + "°C</small>"; remoteViews.setTextViewText(R.id.battery, Html.fromHtml(styledText)); The list of supported tags is described here: http://www.grokkingandroid.com/android-quick-tip-formatting-text-with-html-fromhtml/

How can I programmatically change the size of a UICollectionView?
When are you modifying the frame of the contactList? At VC initialization time, outlets are nil. Your view controller gets a ViewDidLoad call after the outlets are connected. I suspect that contactList is still nil when your resizing code is being executed. Move that code's execution into a ViewDidLoad method, and you'll be able to access the real deal. You can easily test this theory by adding the following to where you resize the frame: NSLog(@"contactList is: %@",contactList.description);

JTextField Size Changing When I Change The Font
When I Change The Font Of My JTextField The Actual JTextField Resizes Yes this is the desired behaviour of Swing components. They automatically resize themselves when properties are changed. This is a good thing and you should leave the default behaviour. That is, you should not be trying to manually set the size of the component by using the setPreferredSize() method. static JTextField text = new JTextField("0",37); The problem is that you have specified a column size that is too big. The columns size is the number of characters, not pixels. Make it something more reasonable: static JTextField text = new JTextField("0",10);

Why does appendTo() and insertAfter() change font size?
The answer lies in the HTML resulting from each operation. appendTo() will insert the content into the selected element as the last child of that element. In your example, that looks like this: <div> <h1> Main Header <p class="sh1">Sub Header 1</p> </h1> </div> insertAfter() on the other hand, will insert the content after the selected element. In your example, that looks like this: <div> <h1>Main Header</h1> <p class="sh2">Sub Header 2</p> </div> So the font-size on the first is larger, because it's inside the <h1> tag, and thus inherits it's styling. On the second, it just follows the <h1> tag, so its styling is not affected.

Change a menu bar applications font size
You can change the font of your status item as follows: statusItem = [[NSStatusBar systemStatusBar] statusItemWithLength:NSVariableStatusItemLength]; NSMutableAttributedString* attrStr = [[NSMutableAttributedString alloc] initWithString:@"MyTitle"]; [attrStr setAttributes:@{NSFontAttributeName: [NSFont systemFontOfSize:22]} range:NSMakeRange(0,7)]; [statusItem setHighlightMode:YES]; [statusItem setAttributedTitle:attrStr]; The system menu bar will not re-size to accommodate a font that is too large to fit within it though, so you can't make the font too large.

How to change the font size of QTableWidget header?
Basically there are two ways: (1) I am not 100% sure why your code is not working, but my guess is the font you created is invalid and won't apply, usually you want to use the existing Font from the QHeaderView, manipulate it and reset it to ensure that all other settings are identical: // Example 1 QFont font = ui.tableWidget->horizontalHeader()->font(); font.setPointSize( 42 ); ui.tableWidget->horizontalHeader()->setFont( font ); (2) Further you can use StyleSheets instead of QFont which is often easier. // Example 2 _ui.tableWidget->horizontalHeader()->setStyleSheet("QHeaderView { font-size: 42pt; }"); Both ways have worked with Qt-4.8.3

How to change the font size of a grid title - ExtJS?
It's normally .x-panel-header-text-default CSS class that controls panel header font styles. If you navigate to a panel header in Firebug inspector you may see: .x-panel-header-text-default { color: #333333; font-family: tahoma,arial,verdana,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 17px; } So you can override that rule in your CSS, or you can say take advantage of headerCls config option to specify your CSS class.

There is no way you can do this in an 'easy' way. All the parent css rules get inherited by child nodes unless overwritten. So if you want to make sure that all the elements inside .TabbedPanels will not inherit its font, use: .TabbedPanels <elements you need styled> { font-family: <your desired font>; } For example, this will reset font of all the nodes within .TabbedPanels: .TabbedPanels * { font-family: auto; }
