Inserting an html page in wordpress
Yes, but it isn't going to be particularly quick or easy. You need to either take the existing template files and integrate them with your HTML/CSS/JS, or create a new theme from scratch. Essentially, this entails creating a bunch of templates and adding PHP template tags that are used by Wordpress to display content, etc. Helpful links from the Wordpress Codex: Theme Development Template Hierarchy Template Tags Conditional Tags The Loop Function Reference IMO, the best way to go about this is to take your front end template code (the HTML, CSS, JS you wrote) and use it as a base for writing a Wordpress theme from scratch. ThemeShaper has a fantastic and in-depth "write a Wordpress theme from scratch" tutorial which you can find here. It might take a bit longer than hacking you

Searching columns html table
If you type multiple words, you have to filter each of them separately. Otherwise, you're looking for a field that has the entire space-separated string. This splits the search string, and then shows rows that match any of them. // Function function filterTable(value) { if (value != "") { $("#table td:contains-ci('" + value + "')").parent("tr").show(); } } // jQuery expression for case-insensitive filter $.extend($.expr[":"], { "contains-ci": function (elem, i, match, array) { return (elem.textContent || elem.innerText || $(elem).text() || "").toLowerCase().indexOf((match[3] || "").toLowerCase()) >= 0; } }); // Event listener $('#filter').on('keyup', function () { if ($(this).val() == '') { $("#table tbody > tr").show();

Align table columns HTML
Your tables width is being automatically set to fit its contents (not the full width of the page), so when you add display:block; it fills this specific width. If you specify the width of the table to be the width of the div(which is set to width of the page), you will see the expected result: table{ width: 100%; } .books tr{ display: block; padding-bottom: 20px; }

Convert JSON results (in html) into table with two columns
Try this : This will add a div (which breaks a line cuz it's a block element) (as opposed to img which is inline element) for (var i=0;i<dataJson.length;i++) { if (i%2==0) $("#content").append("<div/>") $("#content").append("<img src='"+dataJson[i].imagen+"' />"); } This will look like 2 columns. p.s. If youre talking about 2 columns as like in a table, that's another thing. ( code on the way) : if you have table : var dataJson = eval(t); var row=0; for (var i=0;i<dataJson.length;i++) { row=Math.round((0.4)*Math.floor(i)); //row number trick is here. $("table tr").eq(row).find("td").eq(i%2).append("<img src='"+dataJson[i].imagen+"' width='100'/>"); } http://js

It's 2013. No-one should be generating HTML using CGI.pm these days. By all means, use CGI.pm for generating headers and parsing CGI requests, but please consider using something like the Template Toolkit for your HTML. I'm not clear what your question is. Are you saying that you get errors if you use My::Module (that's a terrible name for it, by the way)? In that case you should see what gets written to the web server's error log and address the problems given there.

HTML: How to increase width of table columns when the table is inside a div with fixed width
Why not use percentages? jsfiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/qCYDq/ also you are limiting yourself with 200px in width, if the text inside the table (word width) is larger than your 200px it will force its width and then cause your scroller to appear as the table will stretch to fit the words. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <style> table { border-collapse:collapse; width: 100%; font-size: 9px; } td,th { border:1px solid black; width: 25%; } .myclass { width:200px; overflow:auto } </style> </head> <body> <div class="myclass"> <table> <tr> <th>Firstname</th> <th>Lastname</th> <th>Savings</th> <th>Expenditure

Or I didn't understand your question properly, or your problem has a very easy solution. You just need to put the <tr> tag outside the forEach, for example: <tr> <c:forEach items="${institutionAttributes}" var="institutionVar"> <td align="center">${institutionVar.nameOfInstitution}</td> </c:forEach> </tr> This will create only 1 row in the table, with 1 column for each value in institutionAttributes... How can I get the sum of numbers in an HTML table on a different page that is fetched through Ajax?
You should be finding td instead of tr: It doesn't make a difference either way, but I think it is semantically more-appropriate to do this: var s = 0; $(data).find("#a tr").each(function() { var nam = $(this).find("td").text(); var pa = parseInt(nam); s+=pa }); But I don't see why you couldn't just do this: $(data).find("#a tr td").each(function() { var nam = $(this).text(); var pa = parseInt(nam); s+=pa }); Also, please explain what the error is and what it is that you're expecting to see.

How to use PHP DOM to output filesize for files listed in the table of an HTML page?
The only way I can see right now is to request each table line's file (with CURL or something similar), collect the file size in your local file system, output the new table line, delete the temp file and move on... Of course this isn't good in terms of performance, as you'll be actually downloading every file from the target server. If the target server is under your control and is PHP enabled, you could implement a simple "filesize.php" script that returns this info to you, based on a parameter describing the file name (beware of security breaches, though).

How to restore dynamically created HTML table/controls on Page refresh?
All controls must be rebuilt in Page_Load so that event handlers and value binding can occur. So, if you create the controls initially in an event handler then you need to cache enough data in Session, or ViewState, so that you can rebuild those controls on Page_Load. A lot of times a basic Tuple will work to provide enough information for those controls to be recreated. A little note though. You're going to need to ensure you set the ID property the first time they are built and when they are rebuilt. That's how value binding occurs.

Is a table layout appropriate for full-screen single-page HTML applications?
People used to be wrong about tables. Many people, who knew nothing, pushed for non table layout, event though it didn't make any sense at all at that time, especially when there was still ie5+6 to worry about. There were many misconceptions, eg that google cares about semantic code. It never has, and it never will, because people get it wrong, and you can not account for it. However, now, finally there is an actual reason not to use tables. Media Queries and responsive Design In responsive design, of you have 2 columns, it makes sense to drop one column to the bottom on small screens. Multi column becomes single column on phone. You can not do this with tables. This imho is the single most important problem with tables. Most other arguments are nothing more then mental masturbation
