Eclipse showing "Unable to find a javac compiler" even though the installed JRE is 1.6 on building using Gradle
The error message is quite clear: JAVA_HOME doesn't point to a JDK. Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to a JDK, and not a JRE. Why do you think changing the environment of the ant runtime would have any impact on Gradle?

How to set the preferences to run PIG script in Eclipse?
Are you using a Unix Box to run Eclipse? If the answer is yes, then you can get it to work.If you are working on Windows and using a SSH client to connect to Unix box, I am afraid, it won't work (atleast as per the link mentioned in your post)

Android preferences error in eclipse
Whenever you get this error message in a prompt right after eclipse loaded, you should do the following: Go to Help - Install new software Click on Available software sites Delete the link http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ Reboot eclipse Go to Help - Install new software In the box "Work with" add http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/ again Install ADT and accept whatever that prompts. This is how my problem with this message got solved.

Cannot create new Android application project or access Android preferences using Eclipse Kepler
Ran into this same problem today running a Windows 7 machine. It has been a while since this question has been asked, but having an answer here might prove useful since this thread is ranking highly on Google for the error message: I found that cleaning all projects in Eclipse and restarting it once it was finished solved the issue and I was able to successfully create a new Android project afterwards. Eclipse menu: Project >> Clean Similar problem/answer found on stackoverflow.

Google Analytics Tracker showing Tracking Not Installed
It looks like the javascript is broken from cutting and pasting. Easiest thing to do is use a plugin rather then edit theme files. Take a look at http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=google+analytics for any number of plugins - simple to complex - that will work. Most you simply enter your Google ID - and sometimes authenticate with your Google account - and the plugin takes it from there.

Visual Studio 2010 not showing other installed frameworks
With a fresh install, Visual Studio 2010 only includes the .NET Framework 4.0 and therefore only supports targeting that version. If you want to target earlier version of the .NET Framework, you need to install .NET 3.5 SP1, which you can download from here. Version 3.5 includes 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5. More information here: Targeting earlier .NET frameworks 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 using Visual Studio 2010

Difference between opening an first time installed app And newly compiled Eclipse Project with SQLite
As a beginner in Andriod, I did not understood that once the application is installed in the phone and used, the sqlite database is just created once, so there is no need to worry if I open my app many times, updating database is another concern. It is worth to take note that android apps keeps running, unless destroyed or gets an error.

eclipse "run as" not showing any option
Main method is the entry point for the application to ru. Make sure your main method definition is correct. You may be having a main method, which is different from what JVM expects. Correct definition of main method should look like this: public static void main(String args[]) Any change in this definition will make your main method to be a different method and JVM will not be able to find the entry point in your code to run. Also your class containing the main method should be a public class and the corresponding file name should be same as that of class.

Eclipse showing missing jar when it's there
I have added maven dependency folder in my build path You do not add the dependency folder yourself. If you have installed m2e, maven will automatically download dependencies and add them to your classpath. but it's showing some jar files are missing Does it really say "file-version.jar is missing" or like "Class not found"? when i browse them from nautilus So, did you put .jar-files somewhere in your file system manually? If so, you need to use <dependency> ... <scope>system</scope> <systemPath>../path/to/dependency.jar</systemPath> </dependency> But it is generally recommended not to use system-scoped dependencies. Let maven download them, or install your own dependencies locally by using the install target. Also, ma

Eclipse (the Console view) shows two different outputs: The standard output (System.out) and the error output (System.err). eclipse debugger showing false info?
The debugger is not lying. You're assuming that all the keys of the map should be stored in the private keySet field of the HashMap. But this is not the case. This variable is lazily populated when the keySet() method is called. Just look at the method implementation. If you want to know something about your map, use its documented, specified API: use the Display view, type functions.keySet(), right-click and choose "Evaluate", and then you'll really get the key set of the map.

Eclipse Maven showing multiple paths for the same file
Try defining a Working Set that includes only the modules in which you want to search and then use that Working Set in the search. EDIT Actually I tried it and it just works perfectly by default in eclipse 4.3 (Kepler), only one result is returned for nested projects. Anyway, here's how to use working set in open resource (the example is not of a resource in a nested module as in this case Kepler don't show duplicate results; so the example is just of two different resources baring the same name in two different modules): (1) Hit the ctrl+shift+R keys. I searched for a resource called pom.xml. You can see two results: (2) Press the little downward-pointing arrow on the top right of the window and choose Select Working Set...: (3) Check the radio button of Selected Working Sets a

program is working fine but eclipse is showing warning for textview
As it says, you are using a "hard-coded" string which is less efficient than using the String resource. Simply remove android:text="TextView" if you don't want the warning to show. If you want it there then disregard the warning or add it to the String resource file. The Text property isn't needed. If you are expecting user input then you should change it to an EditText anyway unless you have a reason for using TextView <EditText android:id="@+id/textView1" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="0dip" android:layout_weight="0.01" /> Then if you want it to display something such as "Enter input here" in the View then you can add android:hint"Text to display". But this will give you the same warning if you don't add it to the st

Supportmapfragment Map not showing on published App ( Fine while testing on device in Eclipse)
Did you update the API key? Remember the API key is created from your keystore. If your map works in debug mode (from eclipse so), it's because you created the key with the debug.keystore. Now your app is published under a new keystore, you have to create a new API key with your new keystore.

How to check for specific application installed in machine or can we get list of installed application in gwt ?
Browser and OS detected via Window.Navigator are not fail proof. They only observe pattern in the way a browser does stuff and classify into OS and Browser groups. Browser run Javascript ( i.e GWT Code ) do not have privilege to query OS regarding installed software or hardware details!!!!! There is no possible solution in GWT/Javascript for this.

It's not good to save such data in preferences. It's better to save this data in database if you want to get data when application is finished and then started again.
