Is it possible to pair with device constant pair key using core bluetooth
they said they are not having provision to provide what is the key to enter I'm not sure I completely understand this sentence but if the user is given a device that has a specific pin/key, then that has to be documented somewhere for them. This is the same situation as it is with a SIM card's PIN. That code is set by the manufacturer and the user gets to know it when she buys the card. If the code is the same for all devices, then you can add it to your application and show it to the user in some way. The iPhone application cannot dismiss or enter any value in the pairing dialog, this is sure.

Mobile barcode scanner for iOS/Android
Not sure about performance, speed and accuracy, but they'll be about the same as existing barcode scanner apps, since ZXing is a widely-used framework. You're right about needing a 2D barcode for that amount of data; bear in mind that the more data you encode into a 2D barcode, the harder it will be for a barcode reader to recognise. ZXing can do this for you as well. zxing.appspot.com has the same code the ZXing website uses to generate barcodes. Just write an app that incorporates that and you're good to go. You can put any data you want into a 2D barcode, so it'll be up to you as to how you format that data. There are some existing formats (like vcards and web links), but it sounds like you want a custom format. The easiest thing would be to have a look at the ZXing barcode reader ap

how can i get product information from barcode scanner device
UPC codes are designed to provide product manufacturers a unique way to identify a product in various stores and supermarkets. Each product's UPC code needs to be different so that prices can be rung up properly. All the UPC contains is that unique code and no product specific information. If you want to get information about a product by just using its UPC code, you would have to gain access to a database or other type of service that would provide this information. Try a Google search for UPC Code Database or something similar.

Barcode scanner for mobile phone for Website in form
I can see a couple of possibilities: Buy a cheap barcode scanner and use a pc to do it (you can find them for $25 on amazon) - the ones I'm currently using one to do what you're talking about - set focus on a text box, then scan a barcode and it fills in the textbox (behaves like a keyboard input). Write (contract out?) a custom app to do this.

iOS: can I pair more than one bluetooth audio device at once?
The bluetooth specification allows up to seven devices to connect, but it's not straightforward, as it is dependent on the type of device and the service profile it provides. For example, you can have a bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and headset connected at the same time, and an A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) device to stream music, but you can't have two devices that performing the same service profile connected at the same time. check the link below for more info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth

With ZXing APIs, you can implement it yourself. About how to use Android camera, please refer to Android website. Here is the code for capturing images from preview callback, as well as how to use zxing to decode the image: private Camera.PreviewCallback mPreviewCallback = new PreviewCallback() { @Override public void onPreviewFrame(byte[] data, Camera camera) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub if (mDialog.isShowing()) return; LuminanceSource source = new PlanarYUVLuminanceSource(data, mWidth, mHeight, mLeft, mTop, mAreaWidth, mAreaHeight, false); BinaryBitmap bitmap = new BinaryBitmap(new HybridBinarizer( source)); Result result; try { result = mMult

How to get a QR bar code using Motorola tablet ET1 scanner in my android app?
A quick look at the ET1 Enterprise Tablet Integrator Guide suggests you just need to: Ensure that an application is open on the ET1 and a text field is in focus (text cursor in text field). Aim the Scan Module exit window at a bar code. Press and hold either Scan/Action button. The red laser aiming pattern turns on to assist in aiming. Ensure that the bar code is within the area formed by the aiming pattern. The Decode LED lights red to indicate that data capture is in process. So, all you need is an EditText in your app, and to give it focus. There are other alternative ways too - I suggest you have a look at the guide for more details. There's lots of information about the ET1 on the Motorola website if you need further information.

You need to move the onActivityResult method out into the activity rather than inside the setOnClickListener. The hint that you are getting from the ide (eclipse I presume) is telling you that onActivityResult is never being used by your code base, this is because it is not in the correct place to be picked up by the activity when the: Intent intent = new Intent("com.google.zxing.client.android.SCAN"); startActivityForResult(intent, 0); code path returns.

C# read USB HID from BarCode Scanner
It seems that your scanner is set to the wrong mode, which adds those suffixes to the bar codes. For instance, you can program the Honeywell Genesis 7580g scanner in such a way, that it will add different suffixes to the barcodes, depending on the symbology. It's up to you, to add or not to add. But. You can set up the scanner interface so that it will add that suffixes no matter whether you want it or not. That's what the "USB IBM SurePos" interface of the Genesis 7580g scanner will do. (AKA "USB Handheld Scanner - PAPSPH" command and "USB Tabletop Scanner - PAPSPT" command) For this interface, the User Guide for my scanner states, that Each [command] bar code also programs the following suffixes for each symbology: Symbology Suffix EAN 8 0C (decimal 12) EAN 13

Android: Motorola MC40 device not recognized for debugging app
Problem solved. For anyone having the same issue: The Problem for the motorola MC40 is that the Vendor ID number is not the same as the Motorola vendor Id number (22b8). The MC40 vendor ID is "05e0". That was the root of the problem. So when following the instructions here make sure to enter the ID mentioned heretofore. Also not only do you have to add the id to the "51-android.rules" file in this format ("SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="05e0", MODE="0666", OWNER="[user_name]"), but you also have to add the HEX version of the ID (0x5e0) to the "adb_usb.ini" file in .android directory: ~/.android/.

Phonegap 3.0 Barcode Scanner in iOS only picking up QR codes?
Turns out the issue is related to the camera on my device being extremely blurry, and me not realizing that the iOS plugin does not support all the same types of barcodes that the Android plugin does. When I tried example barcodes for each supported type (by googling them) it mostly worked; the exception being smaller barcodes. iOS tablets and iTouchs don't have the same quality camera that the iphones carry, which is unfortunate.

How to get local barcode scanner data into web application?
Configure the Barcode scanner to work as a HID-device, it will then put the scanned barcode into the selected box on the application. If it's a serial port scanner then you can probably use a KeyWedge application to accomplish the same. If it's a Symbol/Motorola scanner you will find all the information you need on support.symbol.com.

Motoroloa barcode scanner beam width
You didn't provide enough details in your question that could be answered specifically. What model scanner are you using? What are you trying to scan? Generally, you cannot alter the physics or the optics of the reader. There may be a setting that could provide different ways to improve read reliability, but they would be very model specific. Are you trying to scan a printed barcode, or a cell phone barcode? Some scanners have settings that change the illumination source making reading of cell phones more reliable. My recommendation would be to ask your scanner vendor for their advice. They may have a firmware upgrade that improves read reliability for your model. Or perhaps you will need to purchase new scanners to achieve your speed goals.

Android ZXing barcode scanner not working with HTC Evo 4g Lte
Well firstly check if autofocus is not required on camera since not all of the devices are supporting it: <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera" /> <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera.autofocus" android:required="false" /> Secondly since you are using integrated zxing within your app, you have to check if user already has installed original ZXing Barcode scanner and use that one through Intent and not the embedded one. Implement ACRA or some similar library which will send logs wherever you define it giving you access to it without having the device itself. If the app is on the Google Play and app crashes tell your user to tap on the Report in FC dialog which will show you the Stack trace in Google Play developer console.

Barcode scanner for a web application using phonegap and html5 and jquery
Well... Since you aren't saying what specifically isn't working... I'll just run through the general steps... Step 1.... Use this https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-plugins/tree/master/Android/BarcodeScanner Step 2.... Follow the instructions right on the readme. Step 3.... If you want to actually test the scanner to make sure it works. You can create a button to to start scanning... In the index.html put somewhere: <button id="scan" style="padding: 10px;">Scan!</button> Then in the javascript on index.html (or anywhere really where it's included on index.html) put: <script type="text/javascript"> app.initialize(); function init(){ $("#scan").click(function(){ console.log("I am now scanning"); window.plugins.barcodeScanner.

How to disable beep in C# for Symbol PPT2800 barcode scanner?
You need to either find the Symbol SDK (I think Motorola bought them out) or go into the Settings for the Scanner and turn the audible beep option OFF. If you want to use the SDK, remember that you are making your program stuck to only one type of device. Also, if it helps, a piece of clear tape (from a desktop tape dispenser) works wonders with attenuating that BEEP when you scan a barcode. Then, when you are ready to deploy the device, just peel the tape off.

How to access USB barcode scanner data directly from USB port using C/C++ without driver
Most barcode scanners can work as simple usb-to-serial converters and thus you get a ttyusbx device in /dev. The way this usually works is you download some software or manual from the manufacturer's website and scan a barcode or a series of barcodes that put the device in this mode. Even simpler, ALL barcode scanners should work as HID devices(keyboard)...again this requires downloading some sort of software or manual and scanning a couple barcodes. Any chance you could provide the scanner's make and model?

read usb barcode scanner data behind the scenes(form minimize state )
I agree with Mark Ransom, you should look for a different APi for your scanner. If there is no other api, you could listen after Global keyboard events, and then assume that 13 (depends on barcode type) consecutive numbers entered within 100 ms is a scan from you keyboard. By only accepting numbers entered really fast, you can filter out people entering numbers in other applications manually.

Clone the plugins project If you haven't already, grab the phonegap-plugins project from github: git clone git://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-plugins.git (We'll assume they are cloned into: /home/mike/phonegap-plugins) Also let's assume your project is called /home/mike/CordovaProject for the purposes of this answer. and then copy the contents of /home/mike/phonegap-plugins/Android/BarcodeScanner/2.2.0/LibraryProject into /home/mike/BarcodeLibrary This will contain the zxing library project as a usable

iOS Core Bluetooth Not asking for Pair
If I understand you right you can write a value successfully to a characteristic but you don't get a pairing request. The pairing is triggered by the peripheral. Meaning the peripheral has to refuse the write or read request of your central to a characteristic. Your central gets the refusal "unauthorized authentication" and then tries to pair with the peripheral and showing the pairing alert pop up you are waiting for. This is all done by core bluetooth automatically. The only thing you need to do is change the characteristics options and permissions in your peripheral. This is the apple sample code to trigger a pairing: emailCharacteristic = [[CBMutableCharacteristic alloc] initWithType:emailCharacteristicUUID properties:CBCharacteristicPropertyRead | CBCharacteristicProper

Trying to retrieve previously paired bluetooth device in IOS app will not respond with failure if device is off
Two points you need to know about retrievePeripherals: and connectPeripheral: 1.) retrievePeripherals: attempts to retrieve the CBPeripheral object associated with the uuid you supply. Even if the ble device is off (or on the other side of the country) retrievePeripherals: will still return an instance of CBPeripheral that you can call connectPeripheral: on. This is done intentionally so that you can issue a call to a peripheral that is not even around and still automatically connect to it when it comes back into range. It basically creates a marker inside the system bluetooth so that when the device is actually seen, it will know it should connect to it. 2.)connectPeripheral: will not time out unless the communication channel is broken with the actual device. If the iOS device has not s

How many devices we can pair via Bluetooth to iPhone?
As it stands in iOS 6.1.4, the current limit for Bluetooth Low Energy devices is 10 simultaneous CONNECTIONS (at least on the NRF8002 chipset). Although the BLE spec says it can in theory have an infinite number of connections, the connection will time out when you try to add an 11th device. As for the pairing table, I've previously had two additional a2dp devices in my pairing table(not connected) and 10 current BLE connections as the maximum. So that is a total of 12 devices in the pairing table on an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4. You could probably have more devices listed in the pairing table, but the one definite is 10 connections is the current max.
