Add custom "Open With" when I right click on a file name in Android SDK Project Explorer
AFAIK there is no such functionality to add your customize programs for viewing the files in Android SDK explorer. The problem with this is that when Eclipse doesn't know what to do with a given file, it opens it with the so called "System Editor", which actually is... whatever your OS says it is, hence the "rolling dice effect". I don't think you can tell the OS to use Eclipse as the default editor (though I didn't try; anyway I wonder why anyone would actually want to do it), so you have two alternatives: either install an eclipse plug-in to manage the kind of file you want to edit (like e.g. pyDev for python), or go to Window > Preferences > Editors > File Associations and associate your file extensions to the built-in text editor in Eclipse. For more details check HERE

Android Studio - Unable to open PNG file
Are you using Windows? This error could happen if the generated build file path exceeds the Windows (not NTFS) max path length of 260 characters. Make sure your project path is not too long, use short names as well. More info from MS: Maximum Path Length Limitation In the Windows API (with some exceptions discussed in the following paragraphs), the maximum length for a path is MAX_PATH, which is defined as 260 characters. A local path is structured in the following order: drive letter, colon, backslash, name components separated by backslashes, and a terminating null character. For example, the maximum path on drive D is "D:some 256-character path string" where "" represents the invisible terminating null character for the current system codepage. (The characters < > are used here

How to show shell hint (text that appears when hovering a file in Explorer) for a file programmatically
The IQueryInfo interface is what you want. Briefly (psuedo-code only, sorry): PCUITEMID_CHILD pidl = <PIDL of item in question> IShellFolder* psf = <IShellFolder parent folder of item in question> IQueryInfo* pqi; if (SUCCEEDED(psf->GetUIObjectOf(hWnd, 1, &pidl, 0, &pqi))) { LPWSTR lpszTip; if (SUCCEEDED(pqi->GetInfoTip(0, &lpszTip)) && lpszTip) { // do something with the tip, and then free it CoTaskMemFree(lpszTip); } } Once you have the text you can, of course, display it any way you like.

Eclipse: Open containing folder for file NOT in the project explorer
Look at the file properties (Alt+Return or via the context menu). The location field is actually a non-editable text which means you can select the value (Alt+LCtrl+ACtrl+C) and copy it to the clipboard. If that doesn't work, then try F2. Some tooltips then become windows so you can copy&paste the content. If that also doesn't work, then I fear you'll have to file a feature request. [EDIT] Seems like you hit Bug 207467 - [PropertiesDialog] Properties page for external files

Is there an file explorer for windows that lets me open multiple tabs programmatically
You can use a tab control. Then you create a new tab and load it with the explorer. There are tabbed file explorers like XYplorer, but I don't know if it will be useful to you. You can also add tabs to windows explorer: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/28997/add-tabbed-browsing-to-explorer-in-windows-7/

As a brutal fix I actually decided to reset all VS settings (not ideal as you lose all your custom settings like formatting and debugging preferences!). To do this open up a cmd line and cd to the VS directory (mine was C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0Common7IDE) and type: devenv.exe /ResetSettings Hope this helps someone in the future...

Saving text in a local file in Internet Explorer 10
IE 10 and 11 use a distinct syntax for downloading or saving blobs to the client machine. Once you've created a blob, use: window.navigator.msSaveBlob(blob, 'file.txt'); or window.navigator.msSaveOrOpenBlob(blob, 'file.txt'); to trigger the file save or file save/open dialog. How to extract two folder path C: (same Type File: e.g Text Document) and name of the file into text file with the file size in kb
The error you observe is caused by the signature of your procedure ListFiles. In VBScript all variables/parameters are of type Variant, so you must not explicitly specify a type. Not answer but suggestions. Excel does that automatically to predict what data type it should store and remove unnecessary details such as spaces and leading zeros. Workaround is what to do after text imported. Change the formatting of the columns so it displays leading zeros, or Change the value to Sting after the formatting Something like .Cells(R,C).Value = Format(.Cells(R,C).Value, "00000000") in a loop.

These functions only allow the user to select files, they don't actually open or save the files. In PySide, they return a tuple, so for example, saving the file would look like this: fileName, selectedFilter = QtGui.QFileDialog.getSaveFileName(self, "Save", "F:/python/bc_new_latest/bcForecasting.csv", "Excel (*.csv *.xls )") if fileName: with open(fileName, "w") as file: file.write(theCSVContent)

Visual C++ - Cannot open text file
You're opening the stream in output mode by using ios::out. Use ios::in to read from it. You've got a lot of other issues, too. IE: -The if(!slips.eof()) after the file open will always cause an exit unless the file is empty. -In your while loop, you are (probably accidentally) attempting to write the prodID and value into the slips file using <<. Use >> to read from a stream and << to write to it.

How to open a text file in notepad in a C program?
Given a file test.txt, you can display it in notepad on Windows with: #include <stdlib.h> int main () { system ("notepad test.txt"); return 0; } If you can be sure that your program will default to the cmd shell, you can just say system ("test.txt") and the file will open in whichever text editor is set as the default, but specifying the editor is safer because it deals with cases like the program being compiled under Cygwin, where the default shell will be sh, which doesn't open text files by default when you supply the filename at the command prompt. If you can't be sure your program will always be compiled on Windows then I would favour the ShellExecute() solution outlined by @Remy Lebeau. A program containing #include <shellapi.h> and a call to ShellExecute(

How to open url having Arabic text using php file-get-contents function
URLs can't contain non-ASCII characters. Where it seems that they do, it's in fact the browser silently converting your characters into URLescaped ones in the background. When you paste this URL into your browser: http://www.example.com/2013/07/31/الاختبار.html will in reality look like this: http://www.example.com/2013/07/31/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%AE%D8%AA%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B1.html PHP doesn't have this ability to silently convert characters; you'll have to do it manually. To do that, run PHP's urlencode() over the URL before making the call.
