Change application taskbar icon at run time(ignore shortcut icon)
Shortcuts have nothing to do with how the application icon appears on the taskbar, a shortcut only points to the actual executable that has the icon embedded as a resource. Your problem could be the Windows Icon Cache. This is a common scenario where the Icon Cache isn't updated properly. You should rebuild/refresh your icon cache, then you should see the currently loaded application icon appear on the taskbar, and you can then use the Application.Icon.Load... to swap the icons between modes. It could also be just due to your taskbar options. If you have your taskbar set to combine both Icon + Label then the icon does not change. Make sure that the option is set to don't combine or combine only if taskbar is full.

how to change an icon behavior in WPF?
Place this code inside your WPF window. You may have to adjust the code a little, but it's roughtly what you are asking for. It works only for right click on the icon. If you need left click use WM_NCLBUTTONDOWN as the message. It works by intercepting native Windowing messages on current window. WM_NC* messages are responsible for communicating window chrome event. Once you intercept the events, you just need to display context menu in correct position. protected override void OnSourceInitialized(EventArgs e) { base.OnSourceInitialized(e); HwndSource source = PresentationSource.FromVisual(this) as HwndSource; source.AddHook(WndProc); } private IntPtr WndProc(IntPtr hwnd, int msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam, ref bool handled) { if (m

how to change jstree icon
after read the documentation of jstree I want to share you that there is not enough scope to use node icon for different node. I think for this you need to hack the css using jquery what you did in your code to do for all ul>li background image change. Use Firebug you can see an extra html node for set the icon field e.g. 'ins' and you have to set the icon image over there.To access the 'ins' nod you have got 'li' id to track it down using jquery selector. Hopes it will give you some help.

How to change the icon of jframe?
By invoking this statement setIconImages(null); you are effectively clearing any previous icon images by setting a null List of images for the application window. Remove or comment out the line. You only need one statement to set the icon for a JFrame: setIconImage(ImageIO.read(imageFile)); or better Depending on the platform capabilities, setIconImages will use one of several Images as the window's icon. So combining this with reading the image as a resource: List<Image> imageList = new ArrayList<>(); Image image1 = ImageIO.read(getClass().getResource("/images/MyImage.png")); imageList.add(image1); // add more images setIconImages(imageList);

Change the Chrome extension icon
Content scripts don't have access to most extension APIs. Instead, you'll need to use message passing to have the content script alert notify the background page of what works needs to be done. Your content script should send a message using chrome.runtime.sendMessage, and the background page should listen using chrome.runtime.onMessage.addListener: Content script: if(shouldChangeIcon) { // send message to background script chrome.runtime.sendMessage({ "newIconPath" : folder + icons[2] }); } Background page: chrome.runtime.onMessage.addListener( function(request, sender, sendResponse) { // read `newIconPath` from request and read `tab.id` from sender chrome.browserAction.setIcon({ path: request.newIconPath, tabId: sender.tab.id

How to change java icon in a JFrame
I have an answer for you. First, make sure that the images are in a folder, not a package. Next, insert this line of code: Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource("path/to/image.png")); ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon( ); setIconImage(icon.getImage()); This code gets the image from the class path, and returns it as a image icon, and then it sets it. This should add the image icon to the application. If it doesn't, then tell me. EDIT: After you told me that that didn't work then I decided to take a second crack at it... First, put your images into a completely separate folder. I usually call this /res. Next, put your image in there. Now, for loading I took a completely different route. I decided to use ImageIO instead of default loading. To load the imag

Change UIActivityViewContoller icon order
This might be possible. By default, there is no factory method of changing the order in which UIActivities appear. However, you might be able to use the controller's excludedActivityTypes property to exclude every activity. This will be a painful process, but from there, you can create new UIActivity subclasses for every service you wanted, including the ones originally build in (this isn't optimal I know). Then you can pass all these newly created UIActivities back to the controller upon installation by adding them to an array and passing them as an argument to applicationActivities: in the controller's init method. I can't say this with 100% certainty, but I believe the activities added to this array will show up in order.

Change executable icon through ilasm
You are missing out on a fairly obscure detail in a C# program. The executable the compiler generates also contains unmanaged resources. Required because Windows doesn't know anything about managed resources. This is something you can see with Visual Studio. Use File + Open + File and select a .exe generated by the C# compiler. RTM edition required, it doesn't work for Express. You'll see at least 3 nodes for your program: RT_MANIFEST contains the manifest for the executable. Very important on later Windows versions, it declares the program compatible with UAC. It prevents Windows from treating your program like an earlier Windows program that needs to be lied to when it does UAC verboten things like trying to write files to protected directories and trying to create registry key

Get it directly from the application bar list - ApplicationBar.Buttons[0].Text = "passagera"; ApplicationBar.Buttons[0].Source = "/img/car-stop.png"; You could also query the list of buttons for a specific icon as a more tenable long-term solution, but if you only have one button and that's not going to change, this works.

Pyqt: Change icon from button
You cannot touch GUI elements from any other thread other than the main GUI Thread. That's why Qt introduced messaging (Signals and Slots). You can connect to a signal from your worker thread that will be caught in the main thread, and then in the main thread you can change any element you want. Here is a very simple example where I demonstrate the concept. import sys from PyQt4 import QtGui, QtCore class Example(QtGui.QMainWindow): def __init__(self): super(Example, self).__init__() # Create a button and set it as a central widget self.button = QtGui.QPushButton('My Button', self) self.setCentralWidget(self.button) # Start the thread self.worker = WorkThread(self) self.worker.start() # Connect the thread's signal "chan
