Jar a package or individual modules inside package for applet?
Inside a jar, the classes have to be in directories corresponding to their packages, so a class CAR.tyres (which really, really should be renamed car.Tyres) has to be inside a directory named CAR. You can make separate jars for your individual classes, but you'll still need the directories inside them. However, it's generally better to package related classes in a jar when they make sense as a unit; in this case, the parts of the car might go in their own jar, but you should probably group Tyres and Windows (along with the whole Car object) into car.jar.

How to access package via Package.getPackage(...)?
Package.getPackage only returns packages that are already known to the current class loader, and the only way to do that is by loading a class from that package. It's basically a wrapper for ClassLoader.getPackage.

Overriding Meteor's oauth package
You need to make a package to override the existing one. If you want to replace oauth's files you should make a new package containing all the files from the package from oauth. Then place this new package in /packages and run meteor add oauth to add it into your project. The new package will override the existing standard meteor one. You need to consider this option though, it means that you have to keep it up to date every time meteor updates its packages.

is there a canonical meteor.js forms package?
As this has not been answered, I'll chime in with a 'why you should do it yourself' argument. A form is both display of DOM and validation. I think Meteor's tools for both are good enough, to not need another abstraction between them. Consider what meteor gives you: you can write a class for your objects, that itself understands all the validations and rules. Not in a generic, 'must be a number way', but in as complicated a way as they exist (must be a prime number?). You can write this class, and it can run on both the client and the server. You should always validate on both the client and the server. Validation libraries sprung up because client and server were (at least) two different languages. Node/Meteor is JS everywhere. Why not use that wonderful feature? Don't put

meteor > error: no such package: 'accounts-urls'
What command did you run before you got the error? If you ran meteor add accounts-ui-bootstrap-dropdown, that won't work. accounts-ui-bootstrap-dropdown is not part of the official packages repository, but it is part of Atmosphere. You have to install the unofficial package manager, Meteorite based on the instructions on the webpage, then you can run mrt add accounts-ui-bootstrap-dropdown EDIT: There is a similar question that is more clear, and you may want to follow this question or confirm that your commands and errors are the same

Meteor package css relative resource path
Reference your image using package relative path, ie : /packages/my-package/css/my_css.css : .my-class{ background-image:url('/packages/my-package/img/my_image.png'); } Explicitly ask Meteor to bundle it on the client via the package system API : /packages/my-package/package.js : Package.on_use(function(api){ var clientFiles=[ // css "css/my_css.css", // img "img/my_image.png" ]; api.add_files(clientFiles,"client"); }); This way your package will be truly generic : users will just have to "mrt add" it to automatically serve your image to the client without messing with /public which is reserved for application-specific static files. As an example, consider a bootstrap3-glyphicons package : packages/ -> bootstrap3-glyphicons/ ----> b

How come my Meteor app with accounts package is not sending a verification email?
See here: http://docs.meteor.com/#email If MAIL_URL is not set (eg, when running your application locally), Email.send outputs the message to standard output instead Web servers such as Meteor cannot send emails by themselves, they need a SMTP server to do that. You need to set up one and set it with MAIL_URL variable.

Meteor - package accounts-ui-bootstrap-dropdown has an empty div
This is a sneaky one, since there's not a lot of definition in your question, like for instance what packages do you have installed, are you using meteorite etc. However, a very likely cause is that you are somehow clobbering bootstrap or haven't included it in the main meteor packages. Check inside your .meteor/packages to see if you have installed bootstrap. if you haven't then install bootstrap via: meteor install bootstrap from the main project directory. Otherwise make sure you haven't included some other package or javascript that clobbers the namespace. For instance, having another copy of bootstraps dropdown.js will cause an empty div. Also be aware that few if any packages are designed for bootstrap 3 at the moment and it will break your dropdown as well, especially

Jade-Handlebars package preventing Meteor server from starting
http://stackoverflow.com/a/17007054/1408362 I found a partial answer to my own question. Seeing as the jade-handlebars package was last updated 7 months ago(at this time), it was using the basic "require()" method in its package.js file, when newer versions of meteor(0.6.4 at this time) want you to use Npm.require() see the relevant stackoverflow post I am linking. Successfully compiled Oracle package fails when called with 'ORA-04063: package body "..." has errors
Hard to tell what is the issue here, since it doesn't look like we are seeing the relevant code. So here are some thing I recommend to double check: package and package body are there and are actually compiled without an exception you are in the schema/user that contains package and package body. There are no other objects with the same name, that might hide your package/package body the procedure you try to call is present in package and package body. remove all code from package + package body except a single trivial procedure and check if that works. If you've done all that update the question with the results.

Package failing to pass R CMD check 'package is not installed for arch =i386', any reason why this would happen?
A hunch: You are on Windows (or another OS which by default runs multi-arch like OS X), you are trying to run R CMD check and it fails to check on one of its two sub-architectures for lack of a package you depend upon. Also note that R CMD check --no-multiarch ... is likely to help you here.

Using chocolatey or nuget for a package that adds plug-ins to a tool in another package
Answers for the above based on what I currently understand: NuGet is for distributing software libraries (DLLS) that are used for referencing in software projects to build tools/apps/frameworks that are distributed on Chocolatey. You need to elaborate on this item more. Chocolatey has published naming conventions which elaborate a little on package contents: https://github.com/chocolatey/chocolatey/wiki/CreatePackages#naming-your-package

Custom package using parallel or doParallel for multiple OS as a CRAN package
First, both mclapply and parLapply are in the parallel package, although mclapply doesn't actually run in parallel on Windows. parLapply runs in parallel on all supported platforms, but isn't always as efficient as mclapply. The doParallel package is used with the foreach package, and acts as an adapter to the parallel package. To write a package that works on both Windows and non-Windows, you have a variety of reasonable options: Just use parLapply since it works everywhere Use parLapply on Windows and mclapply elsewhere Use doParallel with foreach The doParallel package is convenient because it makes use of mclapply on non-Windows platforms. For example: library(doParallel) registerDoParallel() foreach(i=1:10, .options.snow=list(preschedule=TRUE)) %dopar% { Sys.sleep(2) }

Save P values from R ivreg AER package or tsls sem package
First, some model taken from the help file of function ivreg. library(AER) data("CigarettesSW") CigarettesSW$rprice <- with(CigarettesSW, price/cpi) CigarettesSW$rincome <- with(CigarettesSW, income/population/cpi) CigarettesSW$tdiff <- with(CigarettesSW, (taxs - tax)/cpi) ## model fm <- ivreg(log(packs) ~ log(rprice) + log(rincome) | log(rincome) + tdiff + I(tax/cpi), data = CigarettesSW, subset = year == "1995") p-values, t-values and so are calculated only when you call summary() function on your model. At this time actually function summary.ivreg() is called. So if you need to get only p-values you should save result of summary() as some object. This object (list) contains several parts and coefficients are stored in matrix named coefficients.

No you don't have to... If you had to there's no point in having package annotations. Blocking a package install in PHP Composer to use a fork of the package
You cannot really block them. You might be able to disable the fetching of info from packagist.org, but this will affect all packages. What you should do is add an alias for behat/mink. See the documentation of composer aliases. Try to avoid branch aliases, use the inline alias.

NuGet Package Restore cannot find package, has no Source
Apparently NuGet custom feeds are set not via anything in the solution or project files, or nuget.config in the solution, but in the nuget.config in the developer's profile. Over on TeamCity, there's no check by the agent of this config file, or writing to it, to ensure it contains the feed for the TeamCity server itself. So package restore on TC using a custom TC feed won't 'just work'. You have to waste hundreds of pounds of client's money chasing your tail to discover all this and then set/copy your nuget.config from your profile into the profile of the user account running the build agent. Horrible.

How to extend S3 method from another package without loading the package
The problem here is that your definition of the forecast generic is masking the definition from the forecast package, and your method is associated with your generic rather than the forecast package generic; this is just a complicated instance of two packages defining functions of the same name. The solution is to bite the bullet and Depend: on forecast, or when at the command line and both your package and forecast are attached fully resolve the function mypackage::forecast(), or Import: forecast but not make the forecast generic available to the end user except by having them require(forecast) (this might be appropriate if forecast functionality were somehow peripheral to your package, e.g., plotting in 3D when plotting in 2D was sufficient). For what it's worth, an S4 method in PkgB de

Your constant declaration is wrong Constants do not have a $ before their name because they are not variables -- a variable (as implied by the name) contains a value which can vary. Try this (it uses the constant module but that's included in the default installation: use constant CONSTANT => "Foo"; Accessing class constants You can then access them as: Class::CONSTANT # I suggest NOT using this as 'Class::Constant' is a module name, rename your class to something useful Or, if you have $obj as an instance of Class: $obj->CONSTANT; Sample code showing both access methods use warnings; use strict; package MyClass; use constant SOME_CONSTANT => 'Foo'; sub new { my $type = shift; # The package/type name my $self = {}; # Empty

how an ecdf object can be used inside an R package?
Are you sure the R versions are compatible here? The internal parts of ecdf() and approxfun() objects {yes, they are functions} have been changed relatively recently and now go via the .approxfun(..) wrapper which is a hidden in the "stats" namespace. But I really assume the problem comes because you use data(.) in order to use such objects in your package, and on R package building, R may resave the data and ends up losing the important property that environment(fc) must have "stats" as a parent environment. > set.seed(7); Fn <- ecdf(rnorm(12)) > save(Fn, file="/tmp/Fn.rda") > rm(Fn) > load(file="/tmp/Fn.rda") > Fn Empirical CDF Call: ecdf(rnorm(12)) x[1:12] = -1.1968, -0.97067, -0.94728, ..., 2.2872, 2.7168 > plot(Fn) > Fn(1) [1] 0.75 > q() ... resta
