Access browsing history in ember
Reopen Ember.Route to store the currentPath when a route is exited: Ember.Route.reopen({ deactivate: function() { var applicationController = this.controllerFor('application'); App.previousPath = applicationController.get('currentPath'); } }); Then in your cancel method: goBack: function () { if (SettingsApp.previousPath == 'nodes.show') { this.transitionToRoute(SettingsApp.previousPath, this.get('content')); } else { this.transitionToRoute(SettingsApp.previousPath); } }, cancel: function () { this.stopEditing(); this.goBack(); }, Note: you might want to provide some fallback in case the app is loaded in the nodes.edit route.

MySQL export - import of a log table / partial synchronization (full export, import in an existing table)
This use case is one of the reasons people consider using the Cassandra product. I am dumping all my logs into a cassandra cluster for processing. It allows you to do a lot more than you can do with MySQL. http://cassandra.apache.org In my experience, using Cassandra to hold the log data has made so many things much more productive.

Code responsible for browsing Firefox's desktop
The implementation is pretty arcane and ancient. file channel handler will create an nsDirectoryIndexStream. This stream will return a specifically crafted text-only representation of the listing (Try View Source to see how it looks like). The file channel handler also sets a special mime type APPLICATION_HTTP_INDEX_FORMAT = "application/http-index-format" Via the nsIStreamConverterService, a stream converter implemented in nsIndexedToHTML will now produce the final output stream doing a application/http-index-format -> text/html conversation. Finally, the output html links some style sheet via chrome://global/skin/dirListing/dirListing.css, which is in fact part of the platform specific themes, to give the result a more native-looking appearance.

Disabling caret browsing in Firefox source view
A possible workaround: access the configurations (about:config) and go to view_source.editor.external, double click to set to true; then modify view_source.editor.path to a text editor (mine is at c:Program FilesNotepad++ otepad++.exe). This will let you see (and navigate in) the source in an application of your choosing.

Why are my Orchard CMS widgets not populating the Id property when I export them through with Import/Export module?
Turns out that I needed to add the IdentityPart to be attached to my widgets. You can do this in your migrations file by using ContentDefinitionManager.AlterTypeDefinition("MyWidget", cfg => cfg .WithPart("IdentityPart"));

What version of Firefox is the most reliably secure for everyday browsing? Regular, Beta, Aurora, Nightly?
Which build is the most secure depends on the sophistication and determination of the attacker. For the vast majority of attackers, most of whom have no idea how to write exploits themselves and the rest who don't have the dedication, you are probably better off with the nightly, though not by much if any. The reason is as you stated, the bug fixes hit the nightly first. However, with a sophisticated and/or determined attacker, you are much safer with the regular build. The reason is that developers are constantly introducing security holes and vulnerabilities into the nightly builds (not just with FireFox). Most of these are caught during later testing and fixed before they even hit the beta or the release. If the attacker knows what they're doing, there are many more opportunitie

import error for compat in NLTK and using BrowServer for browsing the NLTK Wordnet database for lemmatization
Lemmatizing using WordNet (Morphy, actually) in NLTK is simple: from nltk.corpus import wordnet as wn wn.morphy('runs') # "run" wn.morphy('leaves') # "leaf" wordnet_app is a WordNet browser, not the NLTK WordNet API: you don't need it! Chthonic Project was talking about derivationally related forms, not lemmatizing, which are two different things. By the way, the issue you had with wordnet_app and compat is that you copied a recent version of the file which was incompatible with your nltk distribution (compat is a recent NLTK module inspired from six that helps the transition to Python 3.). If you need wordnet_app, don't copy the source, simply use the version in your NLTK distribution!)

Import shared code between Firefox addon and Chrome addon into Firefox
If you are building a xul based addon and you have a library that you want to use in it, you just have to put it on your content directory and link to the library files in the xul files. - content - yourAddon.xul - yourAddon.js - yourLibDirectory - libfile1.js Then, on yourAddon.xul you include it in the header: <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://yourExtension/content/yourAddon.js"/> <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://yourExtension/content/yourLibDirectory/libfile1.js"/> If you do it with the addon-sdk, i'm not of much help. :)

import and export data from asp.net
If you want to do it in code I think the easiest is to create ALTER statements for your modifications; building up a script that can update your database. On startup of your website? you can check the version of the database with the necessary version and run the scripts (Starting with a backup...). You will need a place to store the version in your database for this to work. There are also tools available (commercial) that can do this; but it is not scripted so it will be a manual process.

Import and Export To NAVision
The first thing you need to find out is what version of NAV the customer is using. Earlier versions (I think pre 4) only allowed data to be imported or exported via a Dataport object. This supported delimited file structures csv, tab e.t.c Later versions of the software also now have XMLPorts, which as the name suggests allows XML files to be imported or exported. Both of these solutions would require development work inside of NAV as there are very few standard import/export objects of either Dataport or XMLPort. These are normally written by the NAV solution center that provides support for the system or occasionally some companies I have worked with do have internal staff with this knowledge. Expanding further on this there is also capability to read and write directly to Excel sprea

incremental export and import postgresql C#
Don't do it this way. Use one of the existing well-maintained solutions for the purpose, like Bucardo, Londiste, Slony-I, etc. See replication on the Pg wiki. Londiste at least can cope with being stopped, then resumed when you want it to catch up, so you can run it as a daily batch if you want. If all you're dealing with is an insert-only table then you can avoid the need for full-fledged replication; all you need is something like psql -h host1 db1 -c "copy (SELECT * FROM the_table WHERE the_date = '2012-01-01') TO stdout" | psql -h host2 db2 -c "copy the_table FROM STDIN" See the manual on COPY You can do the same thing within your C# app by making two PostgreSQL connections, doing a COPY FROM on one, and a COPY TO on the other, then copying the rows between them. Do not click the WebPI link. Once downloaded, click on the installer to open it. Click Next Click the Remove button Now you can reinstall it using the Web Platform Installer, or just use the standalone. On a side note... If you don't see the Deploy options in IIS once you've reinstalled Web Deploy, try running IIS as Administrator. Hope this helps.

How to Import & Export Custom Fields For Customer List in QuickBooks
QuickBooks has a very specific syntax you have to follow (defined by an XML .XSD) when creating requests for it to process. You can't just make up new XML nodes and expect them to work. Thus, this is going to break things: //Defined Custom Columns custAdd.AppendChild(inputXMLDoc.CreateElement("CUSTFLD1")).InnerText = JRNL_NO; Custom fields are added/modified by sending DataExt requests to QuickBooks. They are entirely separate from the main CustomerAdd or CustomerMod request. To add the custom fields, you can either send an entirely separate request: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <?qbxml version="7.0"?> <QBXML> <QBXMLMsgsRq onError="stopOnError"> <DataExtModRq> <DataExtMod> <OwnerID>0</Owner

SQL Server Import/Export: How do I create a column delimiter EXCEPTION
There's not a great way, SQL Server allows for text qualifiers, but not a delimiter escape, to my knowledge. Unless there's always a space surrounding the delimiter, in which case you could use " | " (space pipe space) as your delimiter to exclude the slashpipe. If you can't get the data in a proper format, you could replace occurrences of "/|" with a non-standard character or string, via a simple script or in SSIS. You could also import the file as is and adjust it after import (or during import if using SSIS). Depending on how many errant pipes there are, this may be unreasonable.

How to import SSL certificates for Firefox with Selenium [in Python]?
From this answer Webdriver has no built in mechanism for adding a personal cert. If you are using firefox the only way that I have found to do this is to create a firefox profile and add the certificate to it. You can then either reuse the profile when you run your tests OR, and this is my prefered option, take the cert8.db and key3.db files and add them to the profile that webdriver creates at runtime. - Derek Ekins although the next answer provides a workaround.
