Use ASP button to call a VB method AND THEN call a Javascript Function 'On Click'
You can't. When you do a postback in Webforms you have lost the client. Say it did work - should the javascript run on the page that is about to close or magically appear on the upcoming page? Read up on the event order in Aspnet http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178472(v=vs.100).aspx http://hemantg.blogspot.se/2010/12/aspnet-event-sequence.html and rethink. Unfortunately I cannot give you a better answer than that.

Call html function and php file from onsubmit button
Read about AJAX and maybe JSON. With this you can do that Task. But one can fake your Form so that none of your Javascripts will work. In this case you will have to validate the user on server side. Your approach in this form seems not right you should also read about security in forms and look at other login scripts first.

How to call javascript function and c# code on asp:button?
Note that no JavaScript actually "runs" until the server-side code (C# in this case) has entirely completed and the resulting page is returned to the client. Once that page renders on the client, then JavaScript runs on the client. So in order to execute your JavaScript code, all you need to do is include it in the page being returned to the client. There are a number of ways to do this, and the options depend on whether you're using WebForms or MVC. You might use something like RegisterStartupScript in WebForms, for example. Or, you could just have the JavaScript code exist in a PlaceHolder control with Visible=false and only make the control visible in the response which intends the JavaScript code to run. (Roughly the same method is also easily usable in MVC by just wrapping the J

How to call hidden button on a jsf page with javascript/JQuery
There is a much simpler way of calling server-side methods from javascript. Define a p:remoteCommand and Primefaces will create a JavaScript-function which you can call from inside your JavaScript-functions. Use the following for defining the remoteCommand: <p:remoteCommand name="doStuff" action="#{myBean.callMethod()}"/> And then to call the bean-method on beforeunload just use: $(window).bind('beforeunload', doStuff);

How to organize http-requests with responses in javascript?
I believe that what you're looking for is more or less captured within the basics of Object-Oriented Javascript. In it's most basic form you could do: function calleniro(foo,bar) { this.tel = foo+"-"+bar; } contact = new calleniro("555","7777"); if (contact.tel) ... But since you're performing an ajax query, you run into some scoping problems, since this has a different meaning when you're inside GM_xmlhttpRequest. But you can fix this with a closure. The following is a $.ajax example that passes this into the $.ajax function as obj, so instead of using this.tel, we're using obj.tel and avoid the scope problem.. (function(obj) { $.ajax({ async: false, url: url, method: "GET", success: function(data) { obj.tel = data; } });

difficult with radio button control in html with javascript
After reading again, I believe I noticed something in the code. You check document.doc_copy.rad.length (radio buttons I suppose) but when you write the code to display the DIV, you use this document.getElementById(document.doc_copy.rad[i].value).style.display. I think instead of rad[i] you should have something else related to the div you want to hide/display. Thanks to Barmar I realized my answer is wrong. When you have only one radio button, your index is 0. That means that the FOR statement will not be executed at all. You need to use a DO...WHILE which ensures you will have one execution no matter what. function ChangeDiv(){ var i; var j; i = 0; do { if(document.doc_copy.rad[i].checked){ document.getElementById(document.doc_copy.rad[i].value).style.disp

How to put a button inside of a text entry field in a form on a website using javascript, css, html
Okay, let's start with jQuery, since it's more concise. $('form').each(function () { $(this).find('input').filter(':text').each(function () { $(this).after($('<button>').text('My Button')); }); }); http://jsfiddle.net/xERT8/2/ Edited for non-jquery version. Angularjs How do you call a controller method inside a javascript function defined in the html template file?
I figured it out with help from a friend. Here is the solution: in the signin.html file add an id to the div at the top. HTML, PHP, JavaScript -- How to make a button for each individual record in a database? Seems simple but doesn't work
Your problem is $resultArrayImplode; is a string, so var resultArray = <?php echo $resultArrayImplode; ?> renders as: var resultArray = 1,2,3,4,5 Which is a syntax error. What you can do is use JSON. JSON syntax is JavaScript syntax, so all you need to do is: var arrayEntries = <?php echo json_encode($resultArray); ?>; This should render as something like: var arrayEntries = [1,2,3,4,5]; Which is perfect JavaScript syntax. Then the rest of your code should work.

jquery mobile error - cannot call methods on button prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'disabled'
There's nothing wrong with your pageinit event. The wrong lies in the <a> tag. To remove the error you're getting, you'll have to make two changes to your code : Its not disabled, its disable before your call the disable method, you have to call button() method. Thus, you would've initialized the button element. This is how the code will look like now : $('#ageNext').button().button('disable'); But, if you do this, you'll get an error like this : Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'addClass' of undefined The culprit lies in the code which invokes the disable method disable: function() { this.element.attr( "disabled", true ); this.button.addClass( "ui-disabled" ).attr( "aria-disabled", true ); //^^ Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'addClass' of un

button labeled based on ajax call; on click, button text to add to input box
First off, I can't imagine what this is for and it kinda makes me curious. I'm also not clear on where the failures are in the code you presented. What I would recommend is using input type="button" rather than buttons...this way you can easily grab the value....then make sure they all elements are getting assigned values properly (you can check in your browsers web developers tools / firebug)....then get something like this working (not 100% sure the best way to get the value...you might need to get it via an ID) function bindbuttons(c, d, e) { $("#R" + c + "L" + d + "butt").on("click", function() { alert(this.value); }); } then move on to inserting it into the input (which should be easy something like...) $("#R" + c + "anstext").val(this.value);

This would propably be a lot easier if you could use a simple html form, add the value to a hidden input when onsubmit is triggered, and post it to a webservice which will redirect for you. Anyway: You need to decorate your btnSaveData method with another attribute and change the return type / parameter to string (or any other type that suits your needs): [ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)] [WebMethod] public static string btnSaveData(string color) { // do sth with the color return "/SaveSuccess.aspx"; } And in js: // retrieve the color as a string (this is up to you - I don't know what sort of ColorPicker you're using, so this is a placeholder) function saveColor() { var color = $('#myColorPicker').color.
