Is it proper to place code, or content between the HTML and tags
No, is not okay. All the content of the page should go inside <body>. Check the HTML specification. Browsers are really forgiving, but even if it works you shouldn't do it.

Transferring data from JavaScript in the head to html in the body
Yes, you can assign the return value of that function to an input inside a table. Say you have the following input (I didn't see one in your markup, this is all example): <input type="text" id="tableInput"/> You can then set the value of this input: document.getElementById("tableInput").value = distance();

xml tagged asp expression in head displays in body of the html page
This is an old HTML feature that Microsoft introduced called XML data islands. Microsoft has removed support for this feature in Internet Explorer 10. Their recommended short-term fix is to add an IE9 compatibility meta tag: <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE9"> The long-term fix is to remove the dependency on XML data islands. MDN has one possible alternative.

Getting HTML body content in WinForms WebBrowser after body onload event executes
Here is how it can be done, I've put some comments inline: private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { bool complete = false; this.webBrowser1.DocumentCompleted += delegate { if (complete) return; complete = true; // DocumentCompleted is fired before window.onload and body.onload this.webBrowser1.Document.Window.AttachEventHandler("onload", delegate { // Defer this to make sure all possible onload event handlers got fired System.Threading.SynchronizationContext.Current.Post(delegate { // try webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("id") here MessageBox.Show("window.onload was fired, can access DOM!"); }, null); }); }; this.

Can I place conditional comments in the bottom of my html document? (in the body) or should it be in the head?
You can have conditional comments anywhere. Only the specified version of IE will parse the contents. In this case, where you have CSS in your conditional comment, it should be in your <head>. Also, it's not a good idea to use JS to insert a stylesheet. The user will see the unstyled (or incorrectly styled) content until the document.write fires, and the css file loads. Insert with a server-side script such as PHP first.

Body not wrapping content (not float or body,html 100% thing...)
Fixed this by adding this to the media-query: html, body { min-width: 960px; // <= width of the .container } If anyone could explain this (why the .container isnt pushing body to be 960px) id be glad!

Javascript doesn't work inside or tags
I see at least two problems: JavaScript is case-sensitive, and var tbl = document.GetElementByID("tbl_users"); should be var tbl = document.getElementById("tbl_users"); (note the g and d in getElementById). In this line: str="uid="+tbl.cells[0].value+"&tid="+tid+"&firstName="tbl.cells[2].value+"&lastName="+tbl.cells[3].value+"&userName="+tbl.cells[4].value+"&passWord="+tbl.cells[5].value+"&isActive="+isActive; ...you're missing a + after "&firstName=" and before tbl.cells[2].value. Your console should be telling you that you have an Unexpected identifier.

wcf all message body in .svclog file always be "... stream ..." , how to show the real content through configuration?
Yes, WCF tracing does not log entire messages by default (only soap header) There are many options to configure WCF tracing. logEntireMessage : specifies whether the entire message (message header and body) is logged. The default value is false, meaning that only the header is logged. maxMessagesToLog : specifies the maximum number of messages to log. When the quota is reached, a trace is emitted and no additional message is logged. The default value is 10000. maxSizeOfMessageToLog : specifies the maximum size of messages to log in bytes. Messages that exceed the size limit are not logged. The default value for service level and transport level messages is 256K, while the default value for malformed messages is 4K. A very basic configuration is <system.diagnostics> <so

Cloudflare content in .. element
I use cloudflare for a high-traffic site and it's helped immensely. cloudflare basically intercepts the request and caches it, then adds some of its own code for other purposes - including caching and tracking (i believe). i haven't looked in the cloudflare CP for quite some time, but i think there's an option to revome some (or all) of that additional code. if i remember correctly they have a section on their site that explains that additional code.

Appending a stylesheet to the head of an html document using JavaScript
As Fabricio pointed out, you've missed two letters (u and i) from the url of the css file. This works fine here (note the difference between the url in the comment and the one actually used): // want to create this and add to the doc head // <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/themes/base/jquery-ui.css"/> var link = document.createElement('link'); link.rel = "stylesheet"; link.type = "text/css"; link.href = "http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.7.1/themes/base/jquery-ui.css"; document.head.appendChild(link);

Replace content while ignoring links and html tags
Description I think the way I'd approach this is to match everything bad along with everything good. Then in the expression only put into the capture group the text glyphs I was interested in. Later in the programming logic I'd test each match to see if capture group 1 was populated, if so then the match.index will show where in the string that match occurred. This expression will find all the :/, :), :p, tags and urls, but capture group 1 will only contain the :), :/, or :p which are not part of a tag or url. https?://[^s]*|</?w+(?=s|>)(?:='[^']*'|="[^"]*"|=[^'"][^s>]*|[^>])*>|(:)|:P|:/) Expanded https?://[^s]* matches a url in plain text | or </?w+(?=s|>)(?:='[^']*'|="[^"]*"|=[^'"][^s>]*|[^>])*> matches any open or close html tags | or (:)|:P|:/) c

Why are meta tags moved into body?
The same thing has occurred to me, it seems to be some kind of encoding problem. In my case I managed to fix the problem by opening all of my html files and resaving them with UTF-8 (without BOM) encoding (I did that with Sublime Text editor, but I guess you can do that with anything else, like Notepad++).

Write script tag to body (or head if possible)
Maybe something like this: var s = document.createElement('script'); s.setAttribute("type", "text/javascript"); s.setAttribute("src", "res/playpause.js"); var head = document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0]; head.appendChild(s);

Why in HTML and JavaScript, if the content is being scrolled up and down, the content does not get a scroll event?
is the phrase "div B is being scrolled up and down" not technically correct Yes, that phrase is wrong, because in your case div A is being scrolled (this div has scrollbars). Even better is to say that the content canvas of div A is being scrolled and it doesn't matter what is placed on that canvas. It's like humans (div B) on the Earth (div A). The planet is moving/rotating like crazy but nobody feels that (no event received). :)
