How do I preserve the information keyed in by the user in Django form fields when the submission fails validation while using a CSS customized form?
You can use {{form.name.value}}, and it will repopulate the value entered for a particular field when an invalid form is redisplayed. <input class="box" type="text" name="name" id="id_name" maxlength="100" value="{{form.name.value}}"/>

Passing information from form to form in MS Access
I would do it in VBA. Run the Append query via code, and then open that table and do a MoveLast. You can grab the ID of the last record that matches your student. You can't get the ID of a record until the record is written, so I think that's the only way to do it.

How can I keep open the command prompt in my windows form application in c++?
Have you tried the following? system("cmd /k dir c:\"); /k keeps the cmd prompt window open after the executing process has terminated. But, to be honest, it may be better to use the Windows Terminal Services API for finer control, if you so desire. But, depending on what you want to do - that might be overkill. And, regarding your second question: don't forget to escape your backslashes in: const char program[] = "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe"; WinExec((LPCSTR)program, SW_SHOWMINIMIZED); References: http://superuser.com/questions/306167/how-to-prevent-the-command-prompt-from-closing-after-execution

Why is the JavaScript prompt box too small?
There's no way to alter that behaviour. It's totally up to the browser to bring up the window. One cannot show a native dialog (as alert() or prompt() do), instead, one has to imitate that behaviour in the space of the page's body. This would involve creating an overlay for a modal dialog and a simple absolutely-positioned container for the message.

You could use a swtich statement as explained here If you don't want to use this statement, you can always resolve this with if/else to find out what the user entered: if (weight <= 10) { price = 2.00; } else if (weight <= 20) { price = 1.50; } else { price = 1.00; } For information: the correct use of the swith statement can be found here

Javascript onClick prompt boxes?
You'd first need to use a html element to hook the onClick event to, let's use a plain button here: <input type="button" onClick="name1(name);" value="Confirm Test" /> and pass on the function you created to the event. These events can take in javascript blocks of code and execute it when the event arises, I'd also recommend taking a look at the specs like the one @David is suggesting.

javascript alternative to prompt function
The function is acually called prompt() var bananas = prompt("Please type how many bananas you'd like"); alert("Here you have "+ bananas +" number of bananas. Smile!"); If you want to make an input field locking the page, you would have to make some sort of overlay on the page, and display the input on top of that; disabling the user for any other interaction but the field. EDIT: By overlay I mean something like this: HTML <html> <body> <div id="overlay"></div> <form id="field"> <input type="text" name="test" /> <input type="submit" value="Continue" /> </form> </body> </html> CSS #overlay {position:absolute; top:0; left:0; width:100%; height:100%; background:rgba(0,0

JavaScript: Cursor position in prompt box
Have a look at example in jsfiddle Main idea to remove selection is the following: $input.focus(); $input.val($input.val()); First focusing the input, then resetting it's value. It's DOM based, and will not work for prompt window. Based on authors comment to the question.

Javascript Prompt() Input validation
prompt is blocking. Whatever is entered into it is returned only after the OK button has been clicked (or enter has been pressed). var foo = prompt('bar', 'baz'); if (some_condition(foo)) { // do something } else { // do something else // (which might be to recursively call the function this code // is inside until an acceptable result is received) }

Re-implementing Javascript prompt() dialog using modal
The browser implementation for prompt() is implemented in a way that is not possible to replicate with user-level Javascript running on the page. You have to use callback functions. And if it were possible, there would already be a ready made solution that you should use. What I am saying is that the user of your code cannot have this: var result = customPrompt(...); Rather they must have something in the lines of this: customPrompt({ ... ok: function() { //when user clicked ok }, cancel: function() { //when user clicked cancel } }); //Code continues to run here and doesn't wait for the user to click ok or cancel

Return javascript data to html/php from prompt
I suspect your problem is to inform your backend of the email that have just been entered. I see 2 way to do this: If user have a form to validate as a next step, just prepare a Hidden field and store the email in there. It will be posted when the form will be validated In real time, you can write a script on your server and call it with the email using Jquery (at the place you put you comment: <<-- somehow send data back to page? -->>). If you need to matchwith server information, put you'll probably need to maintain a session. On more remark: if not constraints by cross domain issue, you can make your call directy in javascript instead of curling from your backend.

How to i make my prompt alert accordingly to if the user has answered what i've got pre typed in the prompt?
If you look at the definition of JavaScript's prompt() method, you could see that the second parameter is the default text that the method should return in case the user has not entered anything. Try this instead: var name = prompt("Enter your name"); if (name === "") { prompt("Oops, looks like you didn't enter anything"); } else if(name != null) { alert("Welcome" + " " + name); } Hope this helps! How do I show error information in web form?
First of all add this somewhere in your code. It will display the error message: <span id="errorDiv" name="errorDiv" class="errorDiv" ></span> Next, modify your form declaration as: <form action="/myapp/rest/customer/created" method="POST" onsubmit="return checkForm()"> Before submitting the form it will call checkForm() function. if the function returns true then it will post the form. if not then it will prevent form from submission and display error message. Assuming that you are submitting the form contents by using jQuery/AJAX calls. You can return a String(default value = 'success') from the server. In case there is an error change the specific string and return it and check the value client-side. responseTxt is the value returned. function checkForm(){ /

Passing form information in a for-loop
You're using the same parameter name over and over again (name=titel - you had a type and probably meant to write as 'title') so when the form submits - only one value will be passed. You can easily fix that by passing the parameters as: ... echo "<tr><td width='150'> <input type='text' name='titel$i' value='$titel[$i]' /> </td></tr> <tr><td><input type='submit' name='submitreg' value='Toon activiteit'/> </td></tr>"; ... and reading it on the other side as title0, title1 etc.

Form submitting information twice. How do you stop that?
In your jQuery submit() handler you are just executing code once the form has been submitted, but then you are again AJAX'ing that data to the server, so you receive two copies. Try using event.preventDefault() to stop the form from submitting and then only send the info once with the .ajax() call: ... jQuery('#signup').submit(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); var data = jQuery(this).serializeArray(); data.push({'name': 'ajax', 'value': 1}); var jqXHR = jQuery.ajax({ url: jQuery(this).attr('action'), type: jQuery(this).attr('method'), data: data }); ... }); ...

PHP Form - Need pastes information in textarea to keep formatting
Your problem is with displaying: Just check the source code of the resulting page. HTML does nto care about line breaks and also mangles whitespace. So two easy solution comes up: Line breaks to <br/> echo str_replace(" ", "<br/>", $myInputText); This converts the ordinary line breaks to line breaks understood by HTML. This can be done when storing the content - then no changes arte needed to the duisplaying part. (Or you can put this into the displaying part too, and not change the upload logic.) Using <pre></pre> echo "<pre>$myInputText</pre>"; This applies all the whitespace formatting to the content, and is better ot put to the displaying part. Using your comment If I understood well what you'd like to achieve, this is the easiest: $HTM

ng-pattern changing, but form saying information is valid
You could do it with a directive by watching for when the regex changes (or the conditions for it) and when it does you can re-run the validation by re-setting the value of the element. something like this angular.module('youappname', []) .directive('reApply', function () { return { require: 'ngModel', restrict: 'A', link: function (scope, elm, attrs, ctrl) { // you should change 'regex' in the following line to match the variable that when altered causes the regex to change.. scope.$watch('regex', function (value) { if (ctrl.$viewValue !== ''){ ctrl.$setViewValue( ctrl.$viewValue ); } }); } }; }); and adding re-apply to your element <input type="text"

How to Access DataTable Information Filled By a Module From a Form
You need to fix it so both forms are referencing the same DataSet or DataTable object. If one is a "child" form of the other, such as a dialog, you can pass it from the parent to the child via a property. Otherwise, ideally, the same data object would be injected into both forms by some third object which created both of the forms. Short of all that, you could create a singleton or global variable, but please don't!
