Why not always use _express-checkout-mobile for Paypal Express Checkout?
I've always used _express-checkout and it automatically detects which experience to use. I think if you use _express-checkout-mobile it will use the mobile experience regardless of the platform the user is on, but I haven't tested that specifically.

Mobile Express Checkout Paypal
Are you still using the old MPL? That isn't supported anymore. You may want to look into using the iOS SDK: https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/integration/mobile/ios-integration-guide/ I did a bit of research and found an old post with pretty much the same answer: libpaypalmpl.a is using uniqueidentifier and apple reject reject the app I hope that works for you.

Does PayPal calculate taxes thru express checkout?
No, Express Checkout requires you to calculate and send the taxes to us. Express Checkout won't be able to do this for you (the tax calculator you might've seen on your profile will also not apply to Express Checkout transactions).

Paypal IPN Express checkout not working in simulator
The question is sort of old, but in case others land on this page with the same problem... If you're using the IPN Listener code from the official PayPal Developer site, you probably still have some code in there that's expecting specific form POST items, and that's the problem. Those items do not exist in the IPN Simulator's Express Checkout messages. Here's the problematic code: // assign posted variables to local variables $item_name = $_POST['item_name']; $item_number = $_POST['item_number']; The Express Checkout form post will not have item_name nor item_number, but it will have item_name1 and item_number1. So, a good solution would be to take out all those lines of code, in that section, that specify form field names, and instead iterate through all the form fields. In

Do you need to use IPN with express checkout to confirm PayPal payments?
You could use either or, or you could use both. The IPN will will update your system if the buyer pays with an echeck once it clears, just as it will update your system of refunds and chargebacks. The respone from the Express Checkout API call wont do this. You would have to check manually.

As per the doc (quote below), the SOLUTIONTYPE value will not work -- until you enable the "PayPal Account Optional" setting. (see link for info & video) SOLUTIONTYPE (Optional) Type of checkout flow. It is one of the following values: Sole – Buyer does not need to create a PayPal account to check out. This is referred to as PayPal Account Optional. Mark – Buyer must have a PayPal account to check out. Note: You can pass Mark to selectively override the PayPal Account Optional setting if PayPal Account Optional is turned on in your merchant account. Passing Sole has no effect if PayPal Account Optional is turned off in your account.

PayPal Recurring Payments with express checkout limitations
Can you check that the buyer account has an active cc during express checkout? I mean, can you check that programmatically? No, PayPal will take care of this for you. What does that means 10 recurring payments profiles during checkout? 10 profiles totally or 10 profiles at once? 10 at one time. Assuming that you can get the buyer to agree to it, you can set up any number of recurring payments profiles with a single buyer, but you'd have to send them back to PayPal multiple times to approve all of them. If I will sell my subscription to 1000 customers, can I create 1000 recurring payments or the maximum is 10? You can create 1000 recurring payments. There's no limit to the number of recurring payments profiles that you, as the merchant, can establish with your buyers. What about if I set

Paypal Express Checkout / API Issue / Error 10410
That error is pretty specific. It simply means the TOKEN you sent with your request is invalid for one reason or another. You need to look at your raw API request to see what you're sending for the TOKEN value. It could be from GetExpressCheckoutDetails or it could be from DoExpressCheckoutPayment. I can't really tell from what you've said here, but it's gotta be one of those.

Paypal express checkout L_PAYMENTREQUEST_n_DESCm not showing in transaction details
Are you supplying all of your PAYMENTREQUEST_0_* and L_PAYMENTREQUEST_0_* variables in your DoExpressCheckoutPayment call as well as your SetExpressCheckout call? SetExpressCheckout will control what the buyer sees when they go to check out on PayPal. DoExpressCheckoutPayment will control what the buyer is actually charged for, and what will show up in both the buyer's and merchant's PayPal accounts afterwards. Therefore, if you want your item details to be included in the transaction, you need to make sure that it's included in both calls.

Codeigniter Paypal Express Checkout not passing ShippingAMT and TAXAMT
I'm assuming you're calling GetExpressCheckoutDetails prior to calling DoExpressCheckoutPayment..?? I'm pretty sure what you're seeing is the expected result. Until DoExpressCheckoutPayment is called the shipping and tax amounts could change, so GECD wouldn't reflect anything yet. When you redirect to PayPal are you seeing the shipping and tax included in the order review? If so then you're doing everything correctly. It's just that, again, GECD doesn't include those details since they could change. For example, you could call GECD to obtain the payer's shipping address so that you could then calculate shipping and tax accordingly, and that could be different than what you sent with SEC. Anyway, check that you're able to see what you send in SEC in the review pages at PayPal, and th

How to eliminate PayPal Express Checkout for Payflow order review?
The payer ID should be returned to you in the URL, along with the token, when PayPal redirects the buyer back to your site. All you need to do is grab the payer ID out of the URL. For example, if you set your RETURNURL to http://www.mysite.com/paypal_return.php, when PayPal redirects the buyer back to your site, the URL will look something like http://www.mysite.com/paypal_return.php?token=EC-1234567890ABCDEF&PayerID=ABCDEFGHIJKLM.

Magento PayPal Express checkout, we want to hide/Mask actual shipping address & make PayPal pass dummy shipping address for orders?
You can just set 'NOSHIPPING=1' in your SetExpressCheckout API call and we won't ask for / return a shipping address to you whatsoever. I'm not sure how you would configure that in Magento however. I would not recommend sending dummy data whatsoever; that'll trigger all sorts of red flags and is simply not the right way to resolve the problem.

Does my website require https/ssl for Paypal Express Checkout for recurring payment?
If by 'https/ssl' you mean whether your site itself needs to support SSL traffic over HTTP (and thus have a valid SSL certificate): no, it doesn't. You do however need to be able to establish an SSL connection. Specifically, to PayPal's API endpoint. This means you need to allow outbound SSL traffic via your firewall (if you have any) and your environment needs to support this. Ensure you have a valid copy of the root certs (I usually suggest http://curl.haxx.se/ca/cacert.pem) to valid the SSL certificates against.

Changing Shipping Address on Order Confirmation Step in PayPal Express Checkout
The shipping parameters in DECP are not deprecated. The documentation is a little bit misleading. It's the old version of those parameters, prior to when they added the ability to do parallel payments to EC, that are deprecated. So, for example, SHIPTONAME is deprecated. Instead, you should now use PAYMENTREQUEST_n_SHIPTONAME like you have. That said, whatever you send in the DECP request should be carried over to PayPal and end up being what is used for the payment's shipping address. In fact, if you don't include an address in DECP it shouldn't end up as part of the payment details in my experience. If you want to provide a sample of the API requests during a checkout I'll be happy to take a look and see if I can figure out where you're going wrong.

woocommerce add dynamic price while add to cart
I wrote a nice guide on how to add a form to a product and then change the price. If you look for my function 'calculate_cost' and find every where it is used, you should be able to figure out how to modify the price such that 'test' is $500. For example you could do something like this: add_filter('woocommerce_add_cart_item', array(&$this, 'add_cart_item'), 10, 1); function add_cart_item($cart_item) { // TODO: Logic to determine when this is the 'test' product $cart_item['data']->set_price('500'); }

Codeigniter Cart: add negative price
Check the cart library in system/libraries/Cart.php line #194: // Prep the price. Remove anything that isn't a number or decimal point. $items['price'] = trim(preg_replace('/([^0-9.])/i', '', $items['price'])); // Trim any leading zeros $items['price'] = trim(preg_replace('/(^[0]+)/i', '', $items['price'])); // Is the price a valid number? if ( ! is_numeric($items['price'])) { log_message('error', 'An invalid price was submitted for product ID: '.$items['id']); return FALSE; } so basically codeigniter is only accepting positive values, you can change those lines but be-careful when upgrading or you can extend the library class and add another custom key.

Magento empty page in checkout/cart
If header/footer exists it means that script worked from start till end, but might be with some errors. Generally you should first of all try to look for all remove directives in your layout xml files(grep helps). It might be that the content area is simply removed by some xml. In case XML way thing didn't worked, the things are getting tougher. You should check every template file which should be rendered in the content. it might be that content is somehow commented out. The other thing to consider is, as far as I remember, the content block should have type list or output="toHtml" so it would be rendered automatically. At the moment that's all what I might think off. Oh ya! And check that checkout module is enabled and it's output also enabled! To check if module enabled you should
