Can i get facebook checkins of my facebook page with realtime updates api?
There seems to be a documentation bug in the FB docs. Instead of enabling 'checkins' for the subscription, you must enable 'feed'. Then user checkins will appear at your callback url as changed_fields=feed Then you can read the user's feed and match the timestamp in the RTU and/or look for status updates with a location/place.

How can I subscribe to a page's updates on Facebook?
I figured out the answer. I needed to explicitly send the app_id argument: <?php // $facebook is the Facebook object (imagine that I've already initialized it) $facebook->api($pageId . '/tabs', array( 'app_id' => $facebook->getAppId(), )); ?>

Ok. I feel like an idiot. After about a month of thinking, I was having a shower this morning and I finally figured out the problem. This Facebook page is not available to people in Thailand. I live in Thailand.

Stop receiving real time updates for a Facebook page
There are two possible alternatives: Go to https://www.facebook.com/{page_id}/settings?tab=apps and manually remove the application from the page. If the app is not there, it has already been removed. Or: You can use the Real-time Update documentation and use a DELETE API call to unsubscribe the page from real-time updates. However, if your application is used with more than once page, it will also unsubscribe the other pages.

http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u= content not refreshing with page updates
actually facebook gets your page information at the time of posting and save it in their database. so next time it fetches that url and information from their database not from your page. you may have to share that page again to make new entry in database of the facebook. but old one will remain there.

Do you have HTTPS URLs for your video files in the OG meta tags as well? You will need HTTPS sources as well, since most Facebook users surf over HTTPS already (and Facebook is in the process of getting the rest of them there).

How to push updates to IOS device through TCP/IP socket from server?
Your proposed solution will only work if the app is actually running. (And perhaps, crippled, if the user let's it run in the background - see Apple's multitasking in iOS documentation for details). When running in the background, you won't be able to bring up a UI for the user to see, and you won't be able to provide a message or badge in the built in iOS message center. It will also be a lot of work to implement. A common approach is to use Apple push notifications, and let the payload be an identifier, which your app can use to retrieve the actual (larger) payload from your API. Using Apple push notifications has a lot of benefits, such as being tightly integrated in the OS. As for your actual question: One solution is to poll the DB from the Java code. But it really depends on where

Why do my MongoDB simultaneous $push updates fail?
As a workaround for this bug, I recommend using findAndModify and the checking the results to make sure your update happened. dbCollection.findAndModify( { "uuid": someUuid, "revision.versionNumber": someVersionNumber}, [], { "$set": { "meta.someId": someId }, "$push": { "meta.someMessages": someMessage } }, {safe: true, 'new' : true}, function(err, updated){ if(err){ //handle the error } if(updated.meta.someMessages doesn't contain your message) { //try it again or report it to the client } });

Updated Push certificate and Apple Push Notification doesn't work
Did you build your app with the development provisioning profile and install the updated app on your device? If not, your phone probably still works with the production APNS environment. If you installed the app, did you register for push notifications and get a development device token? Finally, if you got a development device token and sent it to your server, are you sure you used the development device token when trying to push a notification to your device? Are you sure you used the development certificate and connected to the sandbox APNS server?

Distribute Google Apps Script and push updates
The easiest way to distribute an specific (bounded) script is indeed to create a template spreadsheet with the script in it. The Gallery is suitable if your script is more generic and can be used by anyone. Now, there's no great solution to push changes to script's copies, doesn't matter how you distribute your script, because in the end each "installation" is an independent copy, not linked to the original. The easiest, but still cumbersome, way of doing this is to use a library. You place all your logic inside a library and only the boilerplate inside the scripts that will be copied. i.e. an onOpen and onEdit functions and stub menu functions. Something like this: function onOpen(e) { return Lib.onOpen(e); } function onEdit(e) { return Lib.onEdit(e); } function stub1() { return Lib.st

Overriding fetch in Marionette.js model (and responding to push updates)
Backbone's native fetch implementation can provide a template for you to follow. During a normal fetch, Backbone calls sync, passing in the following success callback: options.success = function(resp) { var method = options.reset ? 'reset' : 'set'; collection[method](resp, options); if (success) success(collection, resp, options); collection.trigger('sync', collection, resp, options); }; Basically, when Backbone gets a response from the server, it uses this to populate the collection. Since you're getting periodic updates directly from the server, you'll want to do something a lot like this using LightStreamer's onUpdate parameter. Backbone either calls set or reset. reset will clear the collection and that sounds undesirable so you can remove the conditional and jus

Allow Feedburner subscription for xml feeds
Did it ask for your website URL or the feed URL? Just follow any tutorial on how to burn RSS feeds on Feedburner, like this one at http://www.northernpride.com/blog/website-design/how-to-burn-your-rss-feed-using-feedburner/. After burning your own RSS feeds you'll get feedburner URLs which you can then use on your website so visitors will subscribe to them instead of using the original URLs.

how to get user's posts & updates from Google plus like facebook
From a backend server you can easily perform this API call to read a user's public activities. You can see the REST API here: https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer/#p/plus/v1/plus.activities.list Combine this with a people.list and you can query for a user's friend activities on Google+. On iOS, you probably don't want to make these API calls directly from a user's device. If you can, you should offload the work to a backend server to avoid overworking the mobile client. That said, you can perform an API query similar to listing people in circles: GTLQueryPlus *query = [GTLQueryPlus queryForActivitiesListWithUserId:@"me" collection:@"public"]; [[[GPPSignIn sharedInstance] plusService] executeQuery:query completionHandler:^(GTLServiceTicket

Realtime Updates from Facebook in Windows Phone
It is not possible for a WP app to receive such updates from Facebook. Because you don't have any such API for the purpose. What about RealTime API ? Well, it is possible to get Realtime updates from facebook using that API, but it requires you to specify a callback Url. In other words, it require you to have a web server with an web application that can accept GET and POST requests from server. After receiving such updates, your webapp can broadcast updates to device using PUSH Notification Service. Any Workaround ? Yes ane workaround can be to use a periodic task that runs and fetch data after regular intervals. But beware of: Amount of Data you send in periodic Task (Battery + Data Consideration). Reliability factor of Periodic Tasks (Thay may not run at all).

Facebook Realtime Updates Subscription Verification in Python
ANSWER: Facebook without forewarning sends multiple requests to the endpoint in question and with the Flask development server those requests have no way of being handled, therefore the timeout. detecting photo upload using facebook realtime updates
Facebook says the following at the Realtime Updates description (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/realtime/ - Below "Types of Updates"): Note that you can not subscribe to changes on all properties and connections of the User object. Connections to which you can subscribe include: feed, friends, activities, interests, music, books, movies, television, likes, checkins, location, events. The only thing I could think of is that you subscribe to the feed connection and do some postprocessing to find out whether the post was related to a photo: GET https://graph.facebook.com/{USER_ID}/feed?fields=id,link,type,link&since={YOUR_TIMESTAMP}&access_token={ACCESS_TOKEN} You can derive the USER_ID from the POST coming from Facebook's Realtime Updates, the YOUR_TIMESTAMP

Yes. For disputes, changed_fields will contain value disputes if your payment subscription has disputes field. Whenever an payment update occurs, facebook will call your server real time. In POST data, changed_fields will contain changed parameter. For example, suppose you are subscribed for user data with field value name, whenever user updates his name, your server will be called with name in changed_fields array.

Reading status updates of Facebook user requires read_mailbox permissions on iOS
I've found the problem: I was using absolute paths with the SLRequest, such as https://graph.facebook.com/me/statuses?fields=message&limit=200 which was fine with iOS Social Framework. But Facebook SDK requires relative paths, so changing the path to a relative path by stripping out the graph.facebook.com base worked. My "URL" is now /me/statuses?fields=message&limit=200 and it works. Those URLs could be handled in a better way though, instead of telling an error message that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to achieve. Anyway, if you are on Facebook SDK, be careful to use relative graph paths, not absolute URLs.
