Facebook Graph API: /id/picture returns "Invalid response"
Instead of picture, you should use profile_picture if you want the URL of the pic, just like- <ID>?fields=profile_picture Example And if you want to use the image directly you can use: http://graph.facebook.com/<ID>/picture Example: http://graph.facebook.com/Shadowfax.sahil/picture

Facebook Graph API returns statuses for only some friends
To get statuses, one should only need read_stream permission as described at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/user/ and https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/status Reading a user's status messages requires the read_stream permission. Without the id of the user's friend it's not possible to know the exact reason of the cause. Possible things to look at what would be The friend has the platform disabled in their settings (https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications&section=opt_out&view) The friend has no status objects but post objects instead so the data will appear in [username]/posts with read_stream permission Permissions were never actually set in your app, this happens when developers assume "Configuring Permissions" in app setting

Facebook FQL query friends of friends events doesn't work anymore?
Facebook made some changes in the API and that may affect your request. To check this, go to: Facebook > Apps > Your App > Settings > Advanced. There is a "Migration" panel which those parameters: Events Timezone: Enables real timezone support for events. After this migration, event times are returned as ISO-8601 formatted strings, even in FQL. October 2013 Breaking Changes: The quarterly Platform changes that will be in effect on October 2, 2013. You can check what will be done in the October breaking change, but your problem should be due to "Events timezone" because your are using datetimes for events in your FQL query. Try to disable the new API feature (check Disable and Save your settings).

You can easily find this out by activating the October changes in the developer settings of your app, but i am pretty sure it will be affected. That´s how you get to the settings: https://developers.facebook.com/apps/[your-app-id]/advanced "October 2013 Breaking Changes" > enable You can always switch back, of course.

Facebook Graph API get average amount of users "friends of friends" using fql

Cascading dropdown in MVC4 with Knockout.js, JSON returns valid JSON according to validator but Jscript Invalid character error
Based on your sample JSONs the data variable in your $.getJSON callback does not directly contain your array but it is wrapped within an object where the "DataID" property contains your actual array of elements. So in your $.getJSON use data.DataID instead of data: $.getJSON("/TestStep/GetDataList/" + selStepKindID, null, function (data) { objVM.DataID(data.DataID); });

Facebook FB.ui send dialog intermittently returns invalid link error
I had the same issue and that stopped working since last week. Here is my solution: Go to Facebook debugger and add your URL. Click on "Debug" and fix all warnings displayed by Facebook. To fix mine I had to add the og.url meta tag in my page. The value should be exactly the same as the one you want to share (no redirection). Then Facebook sent me this notification (alert): Your app, XXX, is now compliant with the Stream post URL security migration. No further action is required. Try to share your link with FB.ui once again and now your post should automatically display your og values. Note: Facebook October breaking change will automatically use those og metas instead of custom FB.ui parameters, therefore you can now activate the breaking change to get ready and remove name/pi

Web.py returns invalid JSON to jQuery
I failed at debugging my code. I am returning a JSON string that has this format 'regionExists': false, 'regionInfo': { 'country': "A country", 'sum_information': "Summary information" } The DIVs weren't updating because I was attempting to get data from result.country not result.regionInfo['country']. The JavaScript error is actually an XML error according to Firebug, not a JSON error.

Generating list of facebook friends using Facebook's Graph API
First of all you need to add proper permission to access education history of user & user's friends, which you can achieved by doing this but remember user_education_history is to access User education while friends_education_history is for User's friends education history: $params = array( 'scope' => 'user_education_history, friends_education_history, user_location, email'); $loginUrl = $facebook->getLoginUrl($params); And to access education field you have to modify one line from your code like this: $user_profile = $facebook->api('/me?fields=name,education,email','GET'); You can use below code to just print your $user_profile and then parse it according to your requirements: <pre><?php print_r($user_profile); ?></pre> Probably its too late answer f

How to get all friends like on Facebook?
I don't think it's possible to get all with FQL, you need to get a list of the user's friends id's, and then run the query against each friend.. $friends = array(); //an array of user ids foreach($friends as $value){ //Create query $fql = "SELECT object_id, object_id_cursor,object_type, post_id, post_id_cursor, user_id FROM like WHERE user_id = $value"; } However I don't think you want to go with FQL, you can do things in an easier manner using the graph API with batched requests (you'll end up with hundreds of API calls if you do this in FQL, and will probably end up with your APP blocked by facebook)

get friends after a specific id using facebook graph api
This is not possible as the person wont have every user in facebook as his friend. Assuming you have an authorized session $friends = $facebook->api("/me/friends"); Now iterate over friends array

How can I access email id's of my facebook friends
I don't particularly program with the facebook api. I wouldn't think they would provide you with direct access to information not published. Most sights such as Google (gmail) and Yahoo provide email addresses for their users that is associated with their username. Facebook does also. Just use their public.username@facebook.com, just as you would a person's username@yahoo.com or their username@gmail.com.

Friends Online Presence - Facebook SDK 3
If you can do it in FQL then getting it to work in the SDK is simply a matter of figuring out the right query. Your query SELECT uid, name,pic_small,pic_big,online_presence FROM user WHERE online_presence IN ('active') AND uid IN (SELECT uid2 FROM friend WHERE uid1 = me()) order by name is executed as graph.facebook.com/fql?q=SELECT uid, name,pic_small,pic_big,online_presence FROM user WHERE online_presence IN ('active') AND uid IN (SELECT uid2 FROM friend WHERE uid1 = me()) order by name basically HTTP GET /fql?q=<QUERY> So I believe just need to set the path as fql in requestForGraphPath FBRequest *fql = [FBRequest requestForGraphPath:@"fql"]; [fql.parameters setObject:@"SELECT uid, name,pic_small,pic_big,online_presence FROM user WHERE online_presence IN ('active') "

How to get the friends' posts on a facebook user's wall
I've been testing what you said and it is correct. It is returning an empty array. There is a small detail that we are missing and that is the LIMIT. By default the limit of the posts that it will be returned is a small one and there is a big possibility that the required post is not found in that limit. The solution is the following: SELECT post_id FROM stream WHERE actor_id=actorID and source_id = me() limit 100 If you still get an empty array try increasing the limit. This worked fine with me though.

Send message to Facebook friends using graph api
Facebook messages are a channel for person-to-person communication, and not for apps to send messages, or encourage people to spam their friends. In general, games on Facebook.com should use requests when communicating in game status (its your turn), inviting people to use an application, or sending messages to multiple people. You should offer the Send Dialog in situations when someone might otherwise send an email. Please refer this documentation : http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/dialogs/send/ UPDATE: And for your Dropbox concern...I think they are sending an mail to the particular user with their facebook email address (eg.username@facebook.com) You can see this email address in your facebook General Account Settings. and you can see this note below it which says: "Y

When you request publish permissions (via the Session.NewPermissionsRequest), you can set the default audience to whatever you'd like (see here). Beware, however, that the user can always limit the default audience later to whatever they choose, and your app cannot post above that audience. Also beware that most users do not want to post publicly, so defaulting to public can cause some users to deny your publish permission request.
