WP8 - Facebook Login Issue
In my project I just listened for the WebView's navigated event. If it happens, it means that user did something on the login page (i.e. pressed login button). Then I parsed the uri of the page you mentioned which should contain OAuth callback url, if it is correct and the result is success I redirect manually to the correct page: //somewhere in the app private readonly FacebookClient _fb = new FacebookClient(); private void webBrowser1_Navigated(object sender, System.Windows.Navigation.NavigationEventArgs e) { FacebookOAuthResult oauthResult; if (!_fb.TryParseOAuthCallbackUrl(e.Uri, out oauthResult)) { return; } if (oauthResult.IsSuccess) { var accessToken = oauthResult.AccessToken; //yo

facebook login issue iOS
TL;DR: The way to overcome it is to just login again (after the failure)! What happens is that iOS doesn't know the user has removed the app from the Facebook website, so it issues the app a cached token. When the app tries to use this token to make a request, it will fail (since the token is now invalid). The SDK will see this error, and close your session, but it will also tell iOS to invalidate its cache. So when you log in again, it will contact Facebook for a new token.

If you want the text on the right to display properly, you simply need to change the width from 395 to about 480. Or, are you trying to have the text on the right display below the image? You won't be able to handle that unless you are able to manipulate the source of the iframe -- or use JS after the iframe is loaded.

Issue related to Facebook Graph API
You need a user to connect in order to give him the permissions. The Facebook() constructor only takes an app ID and a key: $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => 'xxxxxxxxxxx', 'secret' => 'xxxxxxxxxxx....xxxxxxx')); The permissions should be added to the LoginUrl: $loginurl = $facebook->getLoginUrl(array( 'scope' => 'manage_pages,offline_access,publish_stream,user_photos')); Once the user clicked on the login URL, you can then use the $facebook instance to get the user session: $user = $facebook->getUser(); If the user indeed exists, you can finally make the API request you want: $result = $facebook->api('/'.$rssfeed_id, 'get'); Follow this complete example: https://github.com/facebook/facebook-php-s

Issue with Acessing facebook page using restfb
I recently faced the similar issue. facebookClient.fetchObject("somePageName",Page.class) was throwing the exception you have mentioned. I noticed that the code runs properly for any page which is of the format A) facebook/somePageName however the pages with url like below do not work: B) facebook/pages/somePageName/2192383292 Any page which does not have a Page Username set in the PageInfo follows the type B url and is not accessible with the code. To resolve the issue, ask the page admin to edit the pageInfo and set a Username for the page. E.g for your case lets say the username specified is WellStartPauldingHospital. In that case the url to access the page will become https://www.facebook.com/WellStarPauldingHospital and you will be able to use the code as follows: Page page =

issue updating facebook user status from my app
The permissions set in the App Settings are not applied to the app. They are used for logins triggered from the App Center by the Play Game/Go to App buttons – since that is a mechanism where you as the app developer don’t trigger/implement the login yourself, you can not set a scope parameter there; and therefore you make those settings in your app dashboard, so that Facebook knows what permissions to ask for when the user enters your app this way. - Info by CBroe. For the permissions be applied in your app, you should set the permissions through your code. The permissions are set while implementing the login functionality. For eg: In Javascript, it is done like this: FB.Login

Facebook SDK update - Cached access token issue
I had the same problem. You are requesting for the special permission user_birthday, if you do this without having your facebook app reviewed by facebook you will not receive this information and (on purpose or not) your session won't be cached. It means your activeSession will be FBSessionStateCreatedinstead of FBSessionStateCreatedTokenLoaded. Note that if you are testing on a facebook account that is also Administrator or Developer of the facebook app it should work without any problems, because you'll get the "user_birthday" despite your app doesn't being reviewed by facebook. To solve this problem you can either remove the need for user_birthday OR get your app reviewed by facebook. If you are going to the first solution don't forget to unauthorize your app from facebook.

The problem might be from the user not authorizing the app to access the user information. You should create a StaticLibAppDelegate in your static library, implement the required functionality and ask the user of your library to inherit his AppDelegate from StaticLibAppDelegate. StaticLibAppDelegate will inherit from UIApplicationDelegate. Ask the user to call super implementation from various delegate methods your library needs. Ex: In his applications delegate, if user overrides application:openURL:sourceApplication:annotation: then ask him to call [super application:application openURL:url sourceApplication:sourceApplication annotation:annotation]; from his implementation. Facebook Oauth Issue | Multiple redirect with changing "code" parameter value in redirected url
I think I had a similar issue. When you get a request with the 'code' parameter, then you will want to send that back to FB. Doing so will allow you to get an 'access_token' in return. Relevant documentation can be read at this link: Login Flow And for clarity you would want to exchange the 'code' parameter for and 'access_token' by this GET request. GET https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token? client_id={app-id} &redirect_uri={redirect-uri} &client_secret={app-secret} &code={code-parameter} In general, your question is similar to this question: Get Facebook OAuth token from code parameter

Facebook like button https issue: protocol mismatch from http and https
Reviewing the js code on Facebook there are multiple urls containing hard coded strings for http://static .../rsrc.php it's possible those are the files triggering the error. This may be something Facebook needs to update. On a side note, it may be possible to download that js file from Facebook and store it on your server and remove the hard coded http string. I would test this further but I am on my phone at the moment.

Facebook button login issue (after succesful login)
In your FB app configuration there are settings for the domains and subdomains this app can use. I guess you are trying to use the login from some development machine which name do not match the configured parameters for domains and subdomains for your FB app. If you inspect the network communication (Crome developer tools are excellent and easy to use for this) you will see the error that FB returns and this will give you better idea what is going on. If this is the case, then: Open /etc/hosts (unix) or C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts. If your configured domain is example.com, then add this line: 127.0.0.1 dev.example.com When you are testing, open dev.example.com in your browser and it should work. As alternative you can edit your app at FB and set the "Site URL" to http://l

facebook notifications alert from facebook API/using facebook API
You can subscribe for Real Time Updates. The Graph API has a feature called 'Real Time Updates' that enables apps to subscribe to changes in certain pieces of data. When a change occurs, an HTTP 'POST' request will be sent to a callback URL belonging to that app. This makes apps more efficient, as they know exactly when a change has happened, and don't need to rely on continuous or even periodic Graph API requests when changes aren't happening. Note that real-time updates only indicate that a particular field has changed, they do not include the value of those fields. They should be used only to indicate when a new Graph API request to that field needs to be made. You can subscribe for changes in a single object or in an array of objects. See Receiving the Rea

PassportJs. How can I get facebook redirect uri without redirecting user after call passport.authenticate('facebook')
Passport is poorly documented on this issue - I struggled with it for a long time as well. I found you can call passport.authenticate(type, fn)(req, res, next), and within fn, you can distinguish between a user who can login and a user who can't. It's up to you to call req.logIn though. Just FYI, I'm assuming you're using sessions: module.exports.createSession = function(req, res, next) { passport.authenticate('local', function(err, user, info) { if (err) { res.json(500, {ok: false}); } else if(!user) { // you would probably want to do more work here // for example distinguishing between bad login credentials, // canceling, users not ready to log in (pending), etc. res.json(401, {ok: false}); } else { req.logIn(user, function(err) {

How to generate facebook access token for given app key and secret key using spring social facebook?
If you're wanting to use the token to access user-owned resources at Facebook (e.g., the user's timeline, friends, etc) there's no way to get a token without involving the user. That's on purpose so that you aren't allowed to fetch data or write data to Facebook without getting the user's permission to do so. But if that's what you want, then you must redirect the user to Facebook and back. This is OAuth 2's authorization code grant. Spring Social's ConnectController can help you with this. You might be able to do it via the JS API, but it's been awhile since I've done it that way and I know a few things have changed at Facebook in that regard. And it probably relies on OAuth 2 Implicit Grant (which involves a redirect). There is another way to obtain an access token without redirecting
