how to get my facebook share dialog to display the facebook share button rather than just text?
What you are looking for is the Share Button. Facebook has deprecated this and this will no longer be supported. So, you have to use the Share Dialog instead that you've mentioned.

An iOS application with a Like button that likes Facebook page
Unfortunately you can't, Facebook graph API doesn't allow to like pages using different apps than theirs. You can only like objects such as photos, urls etc. You can use urlscheme to load the FB application and make the user able to like the page from there.

Facebook Share Dialog/Feed Dialog on iOS - how to know if share button or cancel button is tapped
Updating just in case this helps anyone, the following link finally worked for me: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/howtos/ios-6/#nativepostcontroller Though it had it's limitations (doesn't run on iOS < 6), but it successfully returns me when the user cancels out the dialog. Here's the code I used: BOOL displayedNativeDialog = [FBDialogs presentOSIntegratedShareDialogModallyFrom:self initialText:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@", url] image:nil url:url handler:^(FBOSIntegratedShareDialogResult result, NSError *error) { if(result == 0) { //Fire our callback } else{

How can I add a Facebook share button using the Facebook Javascript SDK in an Ajax call?
Try this. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('#share_button').click(function() { FB.ui({ method: 'feed', name: '<%= fb_data[:name] %>', link: '<%= fb_data[:link]%>', picture: '<%= fb_data[:picture] %>', caption: '<%= fb_data[:caption] %>', description: '<%= fb_data[:description] %>' }); }); }); </script> Does it work ?

Facebook share button
The easiest way to add Facebook share button would be to visit http://www.facebook.com/share_partners.php and copy the code and paste it in your webpage after replacing the text "url" with the actual URL of the page you want to share. If it is dynamic content, you can use the variable or object name. <script> function fbs_click(){ u=location.href;t=document.title;window.open('http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u='+encodeURIComponent(u)+'&t='+encodeURIComponent(t),'sharer','toolbar=0,status=0,width=626,height=436'); return false; } </script> <a href="http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=<url>" onclick="return fbs_click()" target="_blank"> <img src= "http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/images/share/facebook_share_icon.gif?8:26981" alt="" /></a>

Android facebook where is the share button
If you want to follow guidelines and how Android UI works, you might want to use the menu style (grey) icon that you can put in ActionBar (the one you linked is not meant for an ActionBar) I would suggest stuff like this: http://www.androidicons.com/

Strange android-facebook share button
The Facebook app and your app are not tied together at all. Once your app gets an access token, it's yours to keep and reuse (even if you delete the Facebook app). The Session class in the SDK will automatically cache the token for reuse (that way, when you open a new Session, it doesn't ask the user for permissions again). If you want to log the user out from your app, you should call session.closeAndClearTokenInformation() when your app closes (or when the user chooses to log out).

Custom URL in facebook and twitter share button
Change location.href to whatever URL you want to share. For example: <a href="#" onclick=" window.open( 'https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u='+encodeURIComponent('http://google.com'), 'facebook-share-dialog', 'width=626,height=436'); return false;"> Share on Facebook </a>

dynamically change facebook og image in a fancybox share button
og:image cannot change by url. You need to give different share urls for different images. For example :- www.myURL.com/?pic=img1 www.myURL.com/?pic=img2 etc. And a server side language ( like php ) can read the "pic" GET argument and change the og:image.

Add Open Graph Meta Tag After Page is Loaded, for Facebook Share button
I don't think this is possible, since JS code does not get executed. See How does Facebook Sharer select Images? Can I update these meta tags with client side code like Javascript or jQuery? No. Much like search engine crawlers, the Facebook scraper does not execute scripts so whatever meta tags are present when the page is downloaded are the meta tags that are used for image selection.

Get Facebook Page Likes all at once in c#
Sadly, there's no way you can access the list of your 53,000 fans through Graph API (neither via FQL). Facebook prevents this list to be accessed to discourage selling fans data to 3rd party companies (and as a subtle way to prevent competition of targeted ads). However, with the Like button plugin endpoint URL (https://www.facebook.com/plugins/fan.php?connections=100&id=XXXXXX) you can parse the HTML and saving the new ones appearing there, iterating a call to the endpoint every X seconds. Just be careful as this is really not allowed on Facebook TOS and you can be banned (or even get a legal complaint) by implementing that. Cheers!

Facebook Graph API. How to get likes for comment?
Get the comment ID and make this Graph API request: https://graph.facebook.com/COMMENT_ID?fields=likes The comment ID is in fact the concatenation of: the POST_ID (246595548763188_464132103676197), the COMMENT_ID (464146663674741), which would give in your case: 246595548763188_464132103676197_464146663674741. So, this should work: graph.facebook.com/246595548763188_464132103676197_464146663674741?fields=likes

In order to make your meta tags dynamic you will need to use backend code, such as PHP or ASP. There really is no other way to make the header of the document dynamic. PHP example: <?php if(isset($_GET['myparam']) && $_GET['myparam']==='big'){ echo '<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.example.com/site/preview_big.png"/>'; }else{ echo '<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.example.com/site/preview_little.png"/>'; } ?>

Any Method to Get number of LIKES of a URL or PAGE of Facebook?
Yes, you can do this easily with Facebook Graph API. There are two options: if you want to get number of likes of some Page or URL, use this piece of code: https://api.facebook.com/method/fql.query?query=select%20like_count%20from%20link_stat%20where%20url=%27http://www.facebook.com/facebook/%27&format=json NOTE that you need to change the part where i wrote URL that's http://www.facebook.com/facebook The New Graph API provides a minimal pull request code e.g. http://graph.facebook.com/[Type your Page USERNAME here]?fields=likes Here replace [Type your page username] part with username e.g. http://graph.facebook.com/facebook?fields=likes` and it will give you an output like: { "id": "20531316728", "likes": 92990262 } I hope this helps and fulfills your purpose.

An answer to the 'how to get Facebook shares and likes of some URL ?' questions
To get likes and shares counts, I use FQL instead of the Graph API (even though I am actually using the Graph API to send the query). But this is not enough : to be able to do so, I had call the rawurlencode() function on the URL I want to get data about. Otherwise, I'll keep getting errors. So, this likes(), the function I am using to have the counts : function likes($url) { $url = rawurlencode($url); $json_string = file_get_contents("http://graph.facebook.com/fql?format=json&q=SELECT%20share_count,%20like_count%20FROM%20link_stat%20WHERE%20url='$url'"); $json = json_decode($json_string, true); if (key_exists("data", $json)) { if (is_array($json["data"])) { if (array_key_exists("0", $json["data"])) { return intval($json["data"]

Facebook and Twitter likes number in wordpress
You have a couple of problems with this code: the_permalink() will output the url directly. It will not return anything that can be passed to another method. You should use get_permalink instead. Conversely, your functions return a value, but your usage does not echo the value. This is a poor implementation. Your page load depends on these two urls returning responses. If they do not, your page will load very slowly as it will wait for the requests to fail. Additionally, you will likely run into limits how often you can query the urls. You probably want to stick with the facebook/twitter widgets for this.

Bit.ly link to Number of Facebook Likes and Twitter mentions
If I understand you correctly, you want to take a http://bit.ly/s.... link and get the original, long URL, then find out the number of likes for that long link on Facebook, and tweets containing it on Twitter. Is that all about right? For the first part, you can use the link info API to get the long URL from bitly. It may or may not be "canonical," though. It'll just be what was shortened. So it might have extra campaign parameters. Community Wiki in case people can help with the second two parts of the questions.

Facebook restfb using jsonObject stopped getting likes count
on your application account you should have received an alert telling you that the functionality of the API is going to change and you need to make the appropriate changes to your code. this is the blog post The 'count' field was removed from the object. According to the documentation it was moved to the 'summary' section but it looks like they forgot to do so. the only way i know to get the number of likes now is to go through all the like objects they give you (only 25 at a time) until you get to the end and count them youself. edit have a look at this post, aparently the 'summary' is within the 'likes' connection for the post object (i havent tried it)

You can use FQL and retrieve all the pages with type="APP PAGE" as following select name,page_id,type from page where page_id in (select page_id from page_fan where uid=me()) and type="APP PAGE" This will give all the APP PAGES liked by the user. The prerequisite for this to work is user_likes permission.

Are my test Facebook "Likes" private when in sandbox mode?
As far as I know while an app is in sandbox mode nothing is published to your wider facebook audience. Only developers / testers / admins of the app can see the content you post eg. Likes Check if if your wife is a tester of your app, that might be why she's seeing the likes.

Is there a way to embed facebook pictures on my website, which also allows likes, comments etc?
There's no out of the box solution that I know of - What I would do is build an application on facebook using the facebook javascript sdk to put elements on the site. First thing you'll need to do is get folks to login - Once you've got that, you can display the photos, comment box and like boxes pretty easily, if you're familiar with javascript at all. Facebook also has a bunch of plugins for comments / likes and whatnot, but no photos atm. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Retrieve Facebook likes after October 2013 Breaking Changes
I'll try to answer to myself. 1) Yes, I have to check manually, I just did something like this (in this example I retrieve music likes) $fb_music_likes_ar = array(); $end = 0; $offset = 0; while ($end === 0){ $temp_ar = $facebook->api('/me/music?limit=25&offset='.$offset); $fb_music_likes_ar = array_merge($fb_music_likes_ar, $temp_ar['data']); $offset = $offset+25; if (count($temp_ar['data']) < 25){ $end = 1; } } This of course takes more time than before; I don't understand the reason of the change, if I need all the likes I will end up doing several calls and I don't think it is more efficient... Maybe we can use batch processing to launch several calls? 2) I don't think this is affecting likes retrieving

The problem might be from the user not authorizing the app to access the user information. You can use the signed request from the Facebook API to see if the user has liked the page, which will be much more reliable. require 'facebook.php'; $app_id = "app_id"; $app_secret = "app_secret"; $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => $app_id, 'secret' => $app_secret, 'cookie' => true )); $signed_request = $facebook->getSignedRequest(); if($signed_request["page"]["liked"] != 1) { // Render the blocker page }else{ // Business as usual }
