Error in installing WTP plugin to ADT eclipse
I had the same error message trying to install the wtp plugin via "Help"->"Install new Software..." in Eclipse Juno. I found my solution in this post: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/506033/ It stated that I had to make sure the Eclipse Galileo update site (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo/) was available. After I added the update site the installation worked fine. It looks like the Galileo update site includes the package that Eclipse is looking for to resolve the dependencies. I hope this helps.

error in installing mercurial plugin for eclipse
Try running hg -y debuginstall from the command line. It should show something like that: Checking encoding (cp1252)... Checking installed modules (D:Kazanmercuriallibrary.zipmercurial)... Checking templates... Checking commit editor... Checking username... No problems detected If it doesn't, it should give you an indication on what's the problem. If the command is not found, install mercurial from https://www.mercurial-scm.org/wiki/Download or install tortoise-hg from http://tortoisehg.bitbucket.org/

The URL seems to be downloadable (for me). This might just be a transient error with the Aptana server, or it might conceivably be a networking error in your network, ISP, or national network. Try it again.

NPAPI plugin not getting loaded upon installing and browser plugin method call failing
I don't see where this refreshs the page. What should work though is re-instantiating the plugin (e.g. by switching it to display:none and back). This also looks like you could be accessing the plugin too soon - the plugin might not have finished instantiating yet. After finding it listed in navigator.plugins and (re-)instantiating you could: periodically try accessing it until it works or (better) have your plugin call into the page when it finished loading In both cases you'll want to time out after a "reasonable" time and conclude that either it failed to load or the plugin is being blocked (plugin being set to click-to-play or some extension blocked it) ... there is a best-practices article for this on MDN.

Installing m2e plugin - RAD 7.5.5
As far as I can tell from here, RAD 7.5.5 is based on an old version of Eclipse. m2e is unlikely to work, but its predecessor m2eclipse might. Hopefully you will be able to find it as explained here. However m2e evolved a lot in the last few years and I'd suggest that you switch to a more recent version of Eclipse, if you can. The latest versions actually have m2e directly integrated.

Jenkins Crashes after installing GitHub Plugin
It is a very usual problem with Jenkins. My workaround was to either update the jenkins (where ever it is installed) and restarting the hudson service. sometimes even restarting the service works. often you might need to remove those plugins from within (/var/lib/hudson/plugins/) and restart the service.

Trouble Installing/Using Grails Release Plugin 2.2.1
Don't use install-plugin, it's deprecated and removed entirely in 2.3. You were correct to use BuildConfig.groovy - after saving the change you just need to run grails compile or some other commandline script that triggers dependency resolution. This will install any missing plugins and their dependencies, and report any errors. Note that since you ran install-plugin you probably have cruft in application.properties - be sure to delete any lines in there that refer to installed plugins. For a plugin you can delete everything except for app.grails.version=2.2.3 Your BuildConfig.groovy looks a bit weird, more of an application type of file than a plugin. You don't need grails.servlet.version, grails.project.target.level, grails.project.source.level, grails.project.war.file. Also I like

installing a local dojo plugin on grails 2.2.3
With current Grails version 2.2.3 you are using, install-plugin has been deprecated. You need to define it in your buildConfig. If you have the plugin in maven repository just define it in plugins dsl otherwise you need to define it inline using grails.plugin.location here. Take a look at creating and installing plugins.

Overwrite jar files when re-installing and eclipse plugin
To get rid of the old plugins you have to clear the Installation History. Go to Help | About Eclipse | Installation Details | Installation History and select all the old stuff. Then click delete and restart. Now install the new plugin. The other way to achieve this is by copying the corresponding directory (or jar) from the source eclipse install plugins/ or/and features/ directory to the target eclipse install plugin/ or/and features/ directory

Unique and reproducible identifier for Java Object (Eclipe EMF's resources and model elments)
Well, I kind of found a solution. I use different ID's for EObjects and for Resources: For EObjects, I get their fragment URI (their path inside the containing resource), make it a String, and use that as the seed to the MD5 hash. It turns out that the result of fragmentURI().toString() looks amazingly similar to what EMF generates as the UUID. :-) For Resources, I get the file's contents (model files are generally XMI/XML files) and calculate the MD5 hash on those. The solution is a little heavy, specially the resource piece, but I make it up by minimizing the calls to the ID's generation algorithm, so it is ok for me. What it is is unique and reproducible across machines, which is what I needed. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Getting Error while adding Email composer plugin in phonegap "Error adding plugin com.example.abc"
The plugin needs updating for more recent versions of Cordova. You can download my Eclipse test project containing the updated plugin code and the resulting APK from here. Note that because of this this bug in Android 4.x I had to replace this line in EmailComposer.java: emailIntent.putExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_TEXT, body); with ArrayList<String> extra_text = new ArrayList<String>(); extra_text.add(body); emailIntent.putStringArrayListExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_TEXT, extra_text); This works around the problem for plain text emails but won't work for HTML emails because Spanned (returned by Html.fromHtml) is not a subclass of Charsequence. When I tried casting the result of Html.fromHtml() to a string, the tags appeared as part of the text :-( Also when

sudo gem install jquery-rails is probably using your system's built-in Ruby (which is likely 1.8, or 1.9.2). This is because you're using sudo. With RVM, get rid of the sudo and it'll use RVM instead: gem install jquery-rails

Error installing Ruby on Rails 4.0.0 - error compiling atomic_reference.c
I had this exact same problem today. I was able to fix it, but I'm not entirely sure what caused the problem initially, or even how I solved it. What I do know is it finally worked after I updated ruby gems to the latest version, instead of getting version 2.0.0 as the tutorial suggests. gem update instead of gem update --system 2.0.0 Try that and let me know if it helps.

Had the very same problem, coming from that same tutorial. Got it to work following this post. Ran a few command to compare gemsets with the post but what seem to fix the problem was gem update --system (without the "2.0.0" from tutorial, updated me to 2.0.3) gem update gem install rails (again without specifying the version) And finally it installed properly

error in installing DotNetNuke
I have resolved this issue. Here's what I found. I was attempting to connect to a SQL Server instance where case-sensitivity is enforced. The script files provided with DNN 7.00.06 have a number of inconsistencies in regards to case. An example is the parameter @ParentId, which is declared @ParentID. I was not permitted to alter the settings on the remote SQL Server so I ended up installing a local SQL Express (with case-sensitivity off) as a work-around. I hope my experience helps if anyone else comes across this issue.

Error Installing Atomic
The error messages don't give the slightest clue as to what the real problem is. Bundler or a component it calls does not properly handle directory names with spaces in them. In my case it was .../Data RAID/... that caused the problem. Once I moved the project to a different drive where there would be no spaces in the path, everything worked fine. It appears it may be only the location of the gems that are the issue. In an earlier attempt, I created a project where the gems weren't located in a path containing spaces, but the project was. It didn't have any problems as far as I went with it. Notice also that the gem install atomic was successful.

You get a Generic document when no specific document is at that position in the content repository. PHPCR being a tree, there sometimes are nodes added in between so that a child node can have a parent. Those nodes do not map to any document, in which case the Generic document is used. If you simply installed the sandbox from git and followed all the steps in order, this should not happen. You first set up the repository, then load the fixtures. If this is what you did, please open an issue at https://github.com/symfony-cmf/cmf-sandbox
