Enabling C++11 in Eclipse Juno/Kepler/Luna CDT
There's two things you have to do, first you need to setup your compiler, then you need to setup CDT's language processor. Since you didn't mention which compiler you're using, I'll assume it's GCC but the steps will be similar for other compilers. (Note that you need a compiler that supports C++11, of course.) Setting up the compiler is fairly straightforward: Right click your project and click Properties Under C/C++ Build click Settings Under GCC C++ Compiler, click Miscellaneous In the Other Flags box, append "-std=c++11" to the list of tokens. Click Apply and OK At this point you should be able to rebuild your project and get it to run. But CDT still may show errors for C++11 includes. Here's how you can resolve that: Right click your project and click Properties Under C/C++

RVM in Elementary Luna OS
You should be able to approximate that setup by appending this to your ~/.bashrc file (rvm.sh might not be the right name, but it's something like that). You may have to log in and out for it to take effect. source /etc/profile.d/rvm.sh Or instead append this, which should include everything under /etc/profile.d/. It should be very similar to checking the setting in gnome-terminal: source /etc/profile

Why isn't my html responding?
Well, first of all, your CSS selectors are wrong. They should be: body { background-color: lightblue; } #shadow { text-shadow: -5px -8px 2px lightgreen; font-size: 600%; } #left { float:left;width:30%; } #right { float:right;width:70%; } Secondly, you can't use the src attribute on a div tag. That makes no sense! If you're trying to include content into the page from somewhere else, you need to use an iframe tag. Regardless of my feelings towards using this, it should be more like: <html> <head> <title>Free Jokes!</title> <meta charset="utf-8"> <link href="final project.css" rel="stylesheet"> </head> <body> <h1 id="shadow">Welcome to Free Jokes!</h1> <iframe id="left" src="left.html"&g

Labels not responding to changes
I think you have two things you could improve: 1) Use IBOutletCollection instead of creating one for each of your interface controls; 2) Use a shared datasource and get notified when its values changes. Then you can make changes in your controls, inside their own ViewControllers, like that: self.dataStore addObserver:self forKeyPath:@"gameScore" options:0 context:nil]; //... - (void)observeValueForKeyPath:(NSString *)keyPath ofObject:(id)object change:(NSDictionary *)change context:(void *)context { if ([keyPath isEqual:@"gameScore"]) { //update your IBOutletCollections... } } Reference https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/KeyValueObserving/Articles/KVOBasics.html#//apple_ref/

Back button not responding ?
If your viewcontroller is not an rootviewcontroller for a uinavigationcontroller than the method popViewControllerAnimated won't work. So you need to have a uinavigationcontroller behind in order to push/pop a viewcontroller. So in your case you have to use [self dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil]; instead of popViewController because you presented modally a view controller.

Clonned Select2 is not responding
Before you clone the row, you need to disable Select2 on the select element by calling its destroy method: destroy Reverts changes to DOM done by Select2. Any selection done via Select2 will be preserved. See http://ivaynberg.github.io/select2/index.html After you clone the row and insert its clone in the DOM, you need to enable select2 on both select elements (the original one and the new cloned one). Here's a JSFiddle that shows how it can be done: http://jsfiddle.net/ZzgTG/ Fiddle's code HTML <div id="contents"> <select id="sel" data-placeholder="-Select education level-"> <option></option> <option value="a">High School</option> <option value="b">Bachelor</option> <option value="c">

Stream API in twitter Not responding
The 401 error code indicates that you're not properly authenticated. Are you certain those credentials are correct? A good way to test that would be to connect to the regular streaming API (rather than a user stream) and seeing if you still get a 401. If you do, then your credentials are incorrect. If it works, then there's a problem with the user stream you're requesting.

Wordpress on GAE - wp_admin URL not responding
.httaccess won't work at all with App Engine. You have to use app.yaml to specify all your redirection handlers. secure: always for /wp-admin/ and wp-login.php enforces https:// SSL protocol for WordPress backend, but it won't work out of the box with your custom domain. So if you ported your site from other hosting and migrated database, you would need to change your wp_options table - siteurl value to https://your-app-name.appspot.com/ in order to log into WordPress backend.

Responding to events when data changes
You could use SqlDependency class that's been available in C#/SQL 2005 since 2.0 to receive notifications inside your static class about changes to the data that you're caching as it is updated in SQL. Then in your code, you don't have to create any kind of dependency across your classes to notify one another of changes. Note that there is a performance impact for having notifications but if, as you say, this data is not changing very often, you should be OK. Also, there are certain restrictions on the SELECT statements that qualify for a notification. That is all listed at that link. In one of my current projects, I have a similar class I use for configurations where I opted to not use dependency but instead used an invalidation method similar to what you're trying to do. The pattern i

JBoss 7 stops responding
If your JBoss were not listening at 8080, you wouldn't receive a blank page, but a connection error from your browser. And if your application works fine without changing anything in deployment folder after restarting the application, then your application package is correct, but was not deployed/initialized correctly. Are you using a WAR file or exploded deployment? It may be the case, that your hot deployment does not work correctly. I would suggest to use the "restart application" button in eclipse (starts only the application again within JBoss, but not the JBoss itself) after a deploy - at least I experienced a similar behaviour when trying to hot-deploy from within eclipse.

iOS Nested UIScrollViews Not Responding
self.containerScroll.contentSize = CGSizeMake(self.containerScroll.bounds.size.width*3,1); Looks like the height of your content is set to 1. If a child is larger than its parent, it won't function correctly (works the same for buttons). Also, make sure you know which scrollview you're handling in the delegate methods. All the scrollviews will be handled in the same method and it could cause you problems.

Observing NotifyPropertyChanged and responding to it
If you have a binding on the window, like say a checkbox: <Checkbox IsChecked="{Binding IsApproved}" /> You should get a notification when the property changes. That said, it is possible also to build Dependency Properties that allow for a callback when the property has been changed. This is slightly different from what your example seems to be indicating (but it's worth knowing, because its still closely related). Consider: public partial class InfoBox : UserControl { public static DependencyProperty TextProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("Text", typeof(String), typeof(InfoBox), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(TextPropertyChanged)); public static void TextPropertyChanged(DependencyObject sender, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs args) { InfoBox inf

UIViewController not responding to NSNotifications
You setup: [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(viewDeckPanned:) name:@"ViewDeckPanned" object:_deckController]; Which means that you are listening to notification of name "ViewDeckPanned" that come from _deckController (since object: parameter is supposed to define the notification sender). But, that the same time, you post notification: [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] postNotificationName:@"ViewDeckPanned" object:[NSNumber numberWithFloat:offset]]; and you tell that [NSNumber numberWithFloat:offset] is a sender. Since _deckController and instance of NSNumber do not match each other, you get no notification info in your observer. Simple change would be to pass nil as object: parameter (in both places - where you add observer, and where yo

You have to call one of the event pumping functions to make SDL pump the window's message queue. This has to be done on the thread that created the window. When you try to close the window via the X, an event is queued to SDL's event queue (SDL_QUIT, I think).

Responding to Volley JSONException
If you are expecting to get JSON, you should check that your URL is valid. HTML is often returned when the request is invalid. Such examples are when a request returns a 404 not found webpage. If you are trying to get HTML (or XML), you can use a StringRequest to get a String, then convert it to a XML Document or can use a SAXParser to parse it. For example: StringRequest request = new StringRequest(Method.GET, url, new Response.Listener<String>() { @Override public void onResponse(String response) { DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(); try { Document xml = factory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(response); //TODO: handle XML Document parsing } catch (Throwable t) { return ; }

Windows does not pay attention to #! lines. You need to make sure that your file extension (.cgi in your case, or .pl more commonly) is associated with your perl executable in the registry. The other way to execute a program is to just name the file to be run and depend on the OS's built in method to find the right program to run it. mydirmyprog.pl On a *nix OS, the 1st two bytes of the file are analyzed to determine what to do with it, if those two bytes are the equivalent of the ASCII string #! then the file is treated as text, & th
