Error: The path to the driver executable must be set by the webdriver.chrome.driver system property
Using selenium-server-standalone-*.jar from here, you can pass webdriver.chrome.driver property when launching it like so: java -jar selenium-server-standalone-2.35.0.jar -Dwebdriver.chrome.driver="D:devchromedriver.exe" This eliminates the error; Java command line option -Dproperty=value sets a system property value as expected.

OracleJDBC Driver : Does driver commits on close() by default even if conn.setAutoCommit is False?
When a Connection is closed, it needs to either rollback or commit the current transaction. IIRC, the JDBC specification allows an implementation to choose either as long as it is consistent in its behavior (always commit or always rollback on close). So yes, the behavior is allowed and so it is correct. If it is the best choice is debatable: you can argue that committing on close makes sure no information is lost, on the other hand you didn't explicitly commit, so maybe you didn't want the info to be persisted.

How to resolve [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
When I copy and paste your code into Eclipse I get the error message you mention. That is because the driver name is malformed. Instead of... String database = "jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb,*.accdb)};DBQ="+fn+".accdb;"; ...you need to use... String database = "jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};DBQ="+fn+".accdb;"; Note the single spaces in ... Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)...

Easiest driver for a Linux Device Driver newbie
You should start by studying the basics of Loadable Kernel Modules. First few chapters of LKMPG by Salzman will be a good start And the easiest driver, IMHO, is a simpleton driver that uses memory as a device and reads/write to it. One such driver is beautifully explained in third chapter of LDD3e. You would also need to increase your knowledge of the Linux Kernel itself in order to advance towards relatively hard drivers. The better you understand Kernel's subsystems the easier it will be for you to develop device drivers around them.

Error creating Session: org.hibernate.HibernateException: Specified JDBC Driver com.mysql.jdbc.Driver class not found
The error message you got from Hibernate Error creating Session: org.hibernate.HibernateException: Specified JDBC Driver com.mysql.jdbc.Driver class not found occurs because the class com.mysql.jdbc.Driver is missing from your classpath, ie. the jar containing it should be in WEB-INF/lib. Add the mysql connector jar to that folder.

XA Datasource in Microsoft JDBC driver and jTDS JDBC Driver
Found the answer after digging in jTDS driver distribution. It has README.XA file saying it all. Copying the content below. XA support in jTDS ================== This version of jTDS includes a XADataSource class which allows the driver to be used with J2EE servers that only support XA JDBC connections. The class name is net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbcx.JtdsDataSource. By default the driver will emulate distributed transactions fooling the J2EE environment into believing that two phase commit is supported. This emulation has the serious drawback that when used in a true distributed environment, the driver may not be able to commit or rollback when requested by the transaction manager. In this situation data loss or corruption can occur. In general this emulation is safe to use when jTDS is t

Qt - Trying mysql driver
I would rebuild Qt from source, because you also need the SQL driver (not only the plugin). The driver source is located under /src/sql/drivers/mysql The plugin source is located under /src/plugins/sqldrivers /src/sql/drivers/mysqldrivers.pri contains this: contains(sql-drivers, all):sql-driver += psql mysql odbc oci tds db2 sqlite ibase contains(sql-drivers, mysql):include($$PWD/mysql/qsql_mysql.pri) So I think that you need to run configure with the options: -qt-sql-mysql and -plugin-sql-mysql before compiling Qt. Recompile Qt Open a Qt 4.8.4 Command Prompt cd qtdir nmake distclean configure -debug-and-release -platform win32-msvc2010 -mp -nomake examples -nomake demos -qt-sql-mysql -plugin-sql-mysql nmake You might need to point configure to the correct include/library director

How to Get the driver type of DSN?
You can call SQLGetPrivateProfileString Function from odbccp32.dll to retrieve the information that you're looking for. Use "ODBC Data Sources" as the argument to lpszSection and your data source name (DSN) as the argument to lpszEntry. The value returned in the buffer will be your driver name. Importing the DLL and function looks like this in C#: [DllImport("odbccp32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Unicode, SetLastError = true)] private static extern int SQLGetPrivateProfileStringW(string lpszSection, string lpszEntry, string lpszDefault, char[] RetBuffer, int cbRetBuffer, string lpszFilename); It looks like this in VB.NET: <DllImport("odbccp32.dll", SetLastError:=True, CharSet:=CharSet.Unicode)> _ Private Shared Function SQLGetPrivateProfileStringW(lpszSection As Stri

How can you tell which sql driver(s) are installed using PHP?
get_loaded_extensions() will give you all the extensions installed: print_r(get_loaded_extensions()); You can filter the PDO ones that start with pdo_: foreach (get_loaded_extensions() as $extension) { if (substr($extension, 0, 4) == 'pdo_') { echo $extension . PHP_EOL; } } Which gives the following result on my machine: pdo_sqlite pdo_mysql pdo_pgsql For the non-PDO extensions, you need to individually compare them against the list produced by get_loaded_extensions(), or query them using extension_loaded().

how to remove the log of ie web driver?
IEDriver supports a --silent flag that suppresses diagnostic output when the server is started. Unfortunately, at least to my knowledge, it is not configurable when creating a browser instance. Instead, you need to directly modify the Selenium::Webdriver::IE::Server class' server_args method. You can modify the libseleniumwebdriverieserver.rb file directly, but it is probably easier to monkey patch. To monkey patch the silent flag, add the following to your code some point after requiring watir-webdriver (ie selenium-webdriver) but before opening the browser. class Selenium::WebDriver::IE::Server old_server_args = instance_method(:server_args) define_method(:server_args) do old_server_args.bind(self).() << "--silent" end end For example, the following

Python driver for Oracle 12c
It would appear that one can still use older odbc libraries with Oracle 12. The Oracle Services Reference mentions SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_SERVER and SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_CLIENT settings that specify the minimum allowed versions permitted for connecting to and from the database. Both by default are set to 11, which amounts to Oracle Database 11g authentication protocols. So any driver for Oracle 11g clients should still work with an Oracle 12c database. I've tested this out with a Java client using the ojdbc6.jar library for 11g connecting to my 12c Oracle database, and with version 5.1.2 of cx_Oracle for Python.

java what url value for db driver, using wamp
Read the JDBC... It should be "jdbc:mysql://localhost/dbName?" + "user=sqluser&password=sqluserpw" where dbName is your database name, and sqluser, sqluserpw is the username and password, which you should store in those variables. It's your choice whether you send as plain text or whatever. EDIT: you have to also first load the driver like this: Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); Further EDIT: You should put all these, along with your MySQL statements in a function which throws an exception along the lines of try/catch.

C# calling an unmanaged C driver(dll)
In Microsoft C++ and C, on 32 and 64-bit builds a long is only 32 bits. However, in C# a long is always 64 bits. So what I think is happening is that some of the bytes of the two 64 bit longs that are pushed onto the stack by the C# call are being popped off as the Data* in the C++. Because the second parameter you're pushing is 0, it so happens that bytes with value 0 are being used for the pointer, hence it is null. Change the declaration to int instead of long to solve your problem.

Geb not working with chrome driver
As stated here,The followings can be the reason for your Exception. Class is not available in Java Classpath. You might be running your program using jar command and class was not defined in manifest file's ClassPath attribute. Any start-up script is overriding Classpath environment variable. Because NoClassDefFoundError is a sub class of java.lang.LinkageError it can also come if one of it dependency like native library may not available. Check for java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError in your log file. NoClassDefFoundError due to failure of static initialization is quite common. If you are working in J2EE environment than visibility of Class among multiple Classloaders can also cause java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, see examples and scenario section for detailed discussion.

Will this Keyboard driver work?
This answer addresses your development methodology. Basically, when developing any function get a simple implementation to work and then develop more complex solutions. In your case, first develop GetChar() in C. Later, when you have time and believe that an asm version would run faster, then at that time replace GetChar() with asm code. In all sincerity and good-will, the metric is that if you have to ask if some asm code works then you probably should NOT be writing it.

Windows driver in wine
There are is some weird printer related stuff to wine but I doubt you'll be able to get status working like you hoped. My advice is to either dual boot with windows (or have a separate machine running windows) or even run a virtual machine on your linux pc and have windows running in that. You could then use the virtual version of windows to connect to the printer and receive the printer status stuff with the windows driver and tools.

There is a possibility for live debugging in Windows Kernel debugger. Not all the commands of the debugger will be available (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553382(v=vs.85).aspx). Another option is to use two virtual machines and redirect the serial ports of those VMs through named pipe or TCPIP.
