How to display the multiple rows of images in gridview from sql table
Your handler, though running through a loop, will only return the first image it comes across. By calling these lines....: context.Response.BinaryWrite((Byte[])dtst.Rows[i]["image"]); context.Response.ContentType = "image/jpeg"; context.Response.End(); .....your essentially saying "Ok, you can stop now and spit out that image" - your other images in the loop won't be reached. Your handler should really only return a SINGLE image. So change your handler so it delivers just ONE image, you can put the ID of the image you want to display in the querystring, and then call the handler from your gridview. Something like (example, not tested) <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="MyImage"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Image runat="server" ImageURL='<%# Ev

display gridview data in another page or other gridview with row data in editable mode
You need to add RowCommand Event in GridView. <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" OnRowCommand="GridView1_RowCommand"> <asp:LinkButton ID ="lnkEdit" runat ="server" CommandArgument='<%#Eval("Recordid")%>' CommandName ="cmdEdit" Text ='Edit'></asp:LinkButton> </asp:GridView> Here rocordid is the id of your record. You can change the namespace associated to the Member data contract using the Namespace property.

Change XML Namespace of DataMember
DataContractSerializer does not expose as fine grained control over the XML generation, so this sort of attribute is not inherently available. However, you could subclass the shared class (assuming you can get rid of the sealed access modifier), with two different DataContract attributes with different namespaces. namespace NamespaceShared { using System.Runtime.Serialization; public class SharedType { [DataMember(IsRequired = true)] public int ValueOne { get; set; } [DataMember(IsRequired = true)] public int ValueTwo { get; set; } } [DataContract(Namespace = "http://namespace.one")] public class SharedTypeOne : SharedType { } [DataContract(Namespace = "http://namespace.two")] public class SharedTypeTwo : SharedT

WCF DataContract DataMember as simpleType in XSD?
XSD does not allow simple types to contain either elements or attributes defined elsewhere in the schema. Simple types are created by deriving them from existing simple types (built-in data types and other derived simple types) Simple types are usually derived by restriction, but can also be derived by list or union.

How to ignore a DataMember from the superclass in a subclass
Out of curiosity I did a couple tests and it doesn't look like it'll work. Here are the data contracts I used: [DataContract] public class Person { [DataMember] public virtual string FirstName { get; set; } [DataMember] public virtual string MidName { get; set; } [DataMember] public virtual string LastName { get; set; } } [DataContract] public class Person2 : Person { [IgnoreDataMember] public override string MidName { get; set; } } And my service contract: public interface IService1 { [OperationContract] Person GetPerson(); [OperationContract] Person2 GetPerson2(); } Both operations return the same result. Another way that you might be able to produce the results you're looking for could be to define your minimal contract (the on

datamember property 'System' cannot be found on the DataSource
If you want the display member to be the key of each pair in the dictionary, and the value member to be the value of each pair, you probably want: lComboBox.DisplayMember = "Key"; lComboBox.ValueMember = "Value"; You should be aware that the order will be undetermined though - is that really what you want? Calling ToString() on the return value of Dictionary<,>.Keys or Dictionary<,>.Values is probably just going to give you the fully-qualified name of a type, which will start with System.Collections... - that's why you're getting the current error. I'd also strongly encourage you to rename your property to something which follows the .NET naming conventions, and also means something.

Can I convert a bit value to display image in a ASP.NET GridView
I would recommend that you move this parsing logic out to a view model class that resolves the logic and returns the image url in a string property. That way it will be unit testable and much more manageable.

How to split string and display it in a gridview ?
Try the following string val = @"1000*2=2000$500*1=500$100*0=0$50*0=0$20*0=0"; List<string> fields = new List<string>(val.Split(new[] { '$' })); you can then assign it to the DataSource member of the gridview and call DataBind. gridView1.DataSource = fields; gridView1.DataBind();

How can I display a list of app icons in a gridview?
Yes you are doing it right, you need to create another XML file for each item in the list. Create and XML file and put ImageView inside the LinearLayout. After that you need to pass this xml file to your GridView. Inside your getView method you can update ImageView and show your icons. This tutorial explains it clearly : Android GridView Layout Tutorial I just realized, in this tutorial he doesn't create XML file for each item, instead he creates new ImageView at RunTime. If you look at this example, it shows in different way : Android GridView Example

How can I display all text in Cell of GridView
Under Columns Collection property there is AutoSizeMode under Layout. And use for example DisplayedCells and see for yourself. For Word Wrap you could set it programmatically like: // Columns[1] for 2nd column based on your example. dataGridView.Columns[1].DefaultCellStyle.WrapMode = DataGridViewTriState.true; But don't set the AutoSizeMode as above or else the columns will still expand. You could set it also manually under Columns Collection property and under Appearance select Default Cell Style and then set WrapMode to true.

WebAPI Validation Decorations - difference between [DataMember] and [Required]?
The difference is the RequiredAttribute is used solely for model validation where as the IsRequired property of the DataMemberAttribute is a hint to the serializer that says "upon serialization or deserialization, this property should always be present". The DataMemberAttribute has no effect on the ModelStateDictionary.IsValid property and in the general MVC / Web Api model validation. In your scenario, you need the RequiredAttribute (or any of the validation attribute in the System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations namespace) Edit: Ideally, you should use different model, suited for your Api's endpoint and not your Entity Framework's model directly. Because Entity Framework code-first use the same attributes as the MVC / Web Api for validation, you can't mix the two if they don't transla

I assume you mean DataGridView as GridView is a control in ASP.NET not Winforms. And to answer your question: yes it is possible. DataMember attribute on private members - Whats happening under the hood
You can access non-public members via the .NET reflection API. For this reason, although public/private/internal modifiers imply some sort of security, they should really be thought of as organizational in nature, since they are easily circumvented by reflection.
