Clear particular column values in DataTable
You can write something like this: adjustmentTable.Rows .OfType<DataRow>() .ToList() .ForEach(r => r["AdjustmentReason"] = DBNull.Value); But quite frankly I'm not sure how performant this can be for the large amount of data in your datatable.

JS function clear my form variables values
Several issues You need to return false to stop the submission - you are just seeing your page being reloaded - alternatively show the result from the server to see it wa submitted you need to update a div, not the form: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <script> function addInput(task) { document.getElementById('adminForm').innerHTML += "<input type='hidden' value="+task+" name=task/>"; window.console && console.log(task+" added"); return false; // remove this if you want the form to be submitted } </script> </head> <body> <form method="get" onsubmit="addInput('Save')"> <div id="adminForm"> <input type="text" name="example"/> <input type="checkbox" name="box" value="1"/> <input type

How to clear values of all static variables at the end of an activity Android?
May these help you.. Using Static Variables is like a nightmare in any activity as it stores memory through out the activity.. I think you can try some other memory store to overcome your problem of passing value from one activity to another.. In my opinion u can store values in SharedPreference or either you can pass value through intent to other activity where ever it is required.. Hope these will help you.. EDIT: Intent in = new Intent(MainActivity.this,SecondActivity.class); You can use more than one putExtra() method to put several values and can fetch then in Second Activity in.putStringArrayListExtra(String name, ArrayList<String> value); StartActivity(in); In Second Activity: Intent in = getIntent(); ArrayList<String> Roleids = new ArrayList<String>;

Best way to "clear all" values in text fields in all views with XIB based tab bar application
Loop through all the viewcontrollers in your tabbarcontroller then loop through the subviews of your each view controller's view and if the view is a textfield, clear it. - (void)clearAll { for (UIViewController *vc in self.tabBarController.viewControllers) { for (UIView *view in vc.view.subviews) { if ([view isKindOfClass:[UITextField class]]) { UITextField *textField = (UITextField *)view; textField.text = nil; } } } }

Clear the selected values in a rich:extendedDataTable when the button reset is clicked
Your button is a bit messy, you don't need a4j:ajax when using a4j:commandButton since this component is already AJAX. <a4j:commandButton id="clearBtn" value="Clear" tabindex="4"> <a4j:ajax event="click" execute="@this" listener="#{reportBean.reset}" render="resourceList"/> </a4j:commandButton> for this : <a4j:commandButton value="Clear" tabindex="4" execute="@this" listener="#{reportBean.reset()}" render="resourceList userist"/> You were missing the right component to update, also I doubt your listener was called. In JSF 2.0 you can call listeners methods without parameters but when you do it so, you need to add () at the end. Ortherwise you should declare your method like this : public void reset(AjaxBehaviorEvent event) { allActiveUsers = new Arra

How to clear session and cookie values programatically using Javascript in HTML5 code for iPad Safari Browser
For deleting cookie data, look at this question. You could do it like this : function del_cookie(cookieName) { document.cookie = cookieName+ '=; expires=Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:01 GMT;'; } And for deleting a key from localStorage it would be window.localStorage.removeItem("somekey"); Easy as hell :)

Confusion between "#define clear()" and "std::wstring::clear()"
The reason is because the preprocessor basically does a search-and-replace on all macros that are defined. And it's done before the compiler proper gets the code, and it does not know anything about namespaces, classes or scope in general. So if you have e.g. #define clear() something and then use wstr.clear(); The preprocessor will replace the clear() so that the compiler sees wstr.something;

Apply display: table to the parent block and display: table-cell to the a tag. You can have some control over white space by

Java clear console error: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "clear"
There's pretty much nothing in the console related API to do a clear screen. But, I think you can achieve the same effect through println()s. A lot of putty clients clear the page like that and then scroll up. private static final int PAGE_SIZE = 25; public static void main(String[] args) { // ... clearScreen(); } private static void clearScreen() { for (int i = 0; i < PAGE_SIZE; i++) { System.out.println(); } }

What is more efficient: vector.clear() or if(vector.empty()) clear();?
An empty vector is a valid vector. So the operation a.clear(); is valid on an empty vector. Test for emptiness before clear is unnecessary and time consuming, so the first one is more efficient.

MySQL select some values (not all values) from column of one table and depending on the selected values sum values in other table
This should work; SELECT AccountNumber, CONCAT(SUM(Amount), ' (', GROUP_CONCAT(Amount SEPARATOR '+'), ')') Total FROM 18_8_ChartOfAccounts LEFT JOIN 2_1_journal ON AccountNumber = DebitAccount WHERE VatReturnRowNumberForDebitTurnover IS NOT NULL GROUP BY AccountNumber An SQLfiddle to test with. Of course, if the sum details was just an example, you can skip the GROUP_CONCAT() part and just use... SELECT AccountNumber, COALESCE(SUM(Amount), 0) Total ... Another SQLfiddle.

Values in /values-normal-mdpi overriding values in /values
This SO Question is very similar, and the answers to it very helpful (1) (2). Basically, the Android system will find the best match using these methods. For screen density, it will find the closest match and take that. It will only use res/values/dimens.xml if the dimension isn't in any of the density-specific directories. In this case, create another version of dimens in any directory that will be a "better match" for the other devices that you want to support (ex: values-hdpi), and put the default values of the dimens that were overriden in there.

Clear bit if another is set
You can avoid the bitmap & BIT_FIRE in the first case, since bitmap &= ~BIT_FIRE; will do nothing to the bitmap if BIT_FIRE is not set. There is no "set bit X if bit Y is set" in an arbitrary way. Of course, if you KNOW that, say, BIT_FIRE is one bit higher than BIT_WATER, you could do bitmap &= ~(BIT_WATER << 1), which will clear the "one bit higher than BIT_WATER".

How to clear a map with map in it?
Yes, your code is sufficient to clear the inner maps and the vectors they contain. Destructors of the containers will take care of clearing out the resources held in keys and values of the maps. Of course the emptied map itself will not be deallocated until it gets destroyed, either by going out of scope or by virtue of its owner object being deleted.

Bit set/clear in C?
Assuming value is 0 or 1: REG = (REG & ~(1 << pin)) | (value << pin); I use REG instead of register because as @KerrekSB pointed out in OP comments, register is a C keyword. The idea here is we compute a value of REG with the specified bit cleared and then depending on value we set the bit.

Changing values in database, where updated values might conflict with old values
Since you have stated that the user ID's could be anything, what I seem to be the elegant way of doing this would be: Create a dummy column (like dummyUserID or _userId or previousUserId). Of course, whatever you want. Update the userId to the new column added UPDATE wp_posts SET old_post_author = post_author; Then that's the trick, do your UPDATE using the newly added column. UPDATE wp_posts SET post_author = 90010 WHERE old_post_author = 1; UPDATE wp_posts SET post_author = 90020 WHERE old_post_author = 10; UPDATE wp_posts SET post_author = 10 WHERE old_post_author = 90010; UPDATE wp_posts SET post_author = 20 WHERE old_post_author = 90020;

How To Clear vim RO Flag
Just type :se noro which is short for: :set noreadonly (followed by Enter, of course). That will tell vim that you're not editing the file in read-only mode, but it won't override any system-level protections if you don't have permission to write to it. (There might be resaons other than the directory permission bits that you wouldn't be able to write to a file; for example, the file might be locked or on a read-only file system.)

If you haven't got the option of "Clean Solution" (maybe Express verions, or pre-2010 don't have this?) then, to fix this error, simply go to the /bin folder of your solution and delete all items, then Build again. This will recompile all the DLL files.

How to clear Selection in VBA
To clear the selection, add this to the end of your sub: CutCopyMode = False Note that that your code doesn't seem to add a copy of the second table, but instead it appends a copy of each row in the second table to the end of that same table. Not sure if that's by design or not. To copy the entire table to the end of the document: ActiveDocument.Tables(2).Select Selection.Copy Selection.EndKey Unit:=wdStory Selection.TypeParagraph Selection.Paste

How to clear a single bit in C#?
You can cast the result, which is a long, back to a uint if you replace the compound operator &= with a normal &: uint number = /*...*/; number = (uint)(number & ~(1 << x)); Another way would be to use the unchecked block: uint number = /*...*/; unchecked { number &= (uint)~(1 << x); }

map documentation not clear enough
Actually, it says map BLOCK LIST Evaluates the BLOCK or EXPR for each element of LIST (locally setting $_ to each element) and returns the list value composed of the results of each such evaluation. In scalar context, returns the total number of elements so generated. Evaluates BLOCK or EXPR in list context, so each element of LIST may produce zero, one, or more elements in the returned value. The important part is that $_ is localized to the BLOCK, containing the value of each element of the LIST. Much the same is true for a for loop, i.e. for (LIST). The -s function is as you say a file test, and without explicit argument it operates on $_. This is the same default behaviour that many of Perl's built-in functions have, for example print, unpack, ord, length. The code

How do you clear a slice in Go?
It all depends on what is your definition of 'clear'. One of the valid ones certainly is: slice = slice[:0] But there's a catch. If slice elements are of type T: var slice []T then enforcing len(slice) to be zero, by the above "trick", doesn't make any element of slice[:cap(slice)] eligible for garbage collection. This might be the optimal approach in some scenarios. But it might also be a cause of "memory leaks" - memory not used, but potentially reachable (after re-slicing of 'slice') and thus not garbage "collectable".

You need access to the id returned by setTimeout, as you point out it's not accessible the way you have it written, but it's a simple matter to move it out. iOS clear layer of UIView
Call CGContextClearRect with the current context and the rect to clear. Based on your updated code, you aren't actually drawing anything. You're actually adding sub layers. So, to remove any previous line you need to remove the sub layer. You will need to come up with a way of finding the appropriate sub layer (maybe hold a property, maybe by tag) and then you can remove it just like you add it. Don't perform the loop yourself, get the array to do it: [viewToClear.layer.sublayers makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(removeFromSuperlayer)];
